  1. Tbf he’s got far right views already so it likely is something he’s picked up from his neo nazi sites. He’s a Trump supporter, Covid denier, and he tried to buy the mackems, so he’s a total fucking tit, probably googled who the most racist clubs around are and went for them.
  2. Agreed, it baffles me all these people on Twitter etc going “what’s the point in the league without these 6 teams? Who would watch” to which the answer is fans of everyone else. The game will move on and quickly imo, there will be a short term hit and disruption, maybe a drop in revenue for the PL as some of the international audiences focus on this super league, but would that even be a bad thing? It might help get the European leagues on slightly more level footing money wise. My point is the more level the playing field that results from this is the quicker the international market will come back. There’s no way a 12 team mini league that has the exact same teams in every year will sustain interest, especially when as you say a lot of top players will steer clear, you’ll get the ones that will move purely for money as we see when players move to China etc but by and large most want to play in internationals, domestic leagues etc. These people as well going “who would want to watch Everton and Leicester compete for the league? Or West Ham v Real Betis in the CL?” I guess they missed out on the fact that less than a decade prior to their first PL title Manchester City were starting Paulo Wanchope up front. The game will simply move on tbh, provided the teams are actually banned from every other competition. The only way this thing causes real long term problems imo is if FIFA, UEFA, and domestic leagues back down as then it just makes a mockery out of everything and ruins all competition, if we boot them out of everything then the game will quickly recover. It’s pure arrogance on their part to assume they matter so much that the game would be completely ruined if 12 clubs that have won a lot of the prior competitions leave.
  3. https://www.google.com/amp/s/theathletic.com/news/european-super-league-premier-league/i5ilPK1rFttI%3Famp%3D1 Not sure if it’s paywalled but it’s basically saying that the major leagues have announced any club that joins this breakaway would be banned from the domestic league. I can’t see it going ahead after that, it’s a hell of a risk for the clubs especially the PL ones. Agree with Chaser that there needs to be punishment now even if they don’t go ahead with it. It can’t be something they keep threatening to do to try and influence things. It’s also high time the 14 other clubs in the PL started just block voting against these wankers, especially the Evertons of the league who have often sided with them. Should start pushing for things like pooling and splitting the TV money throughout the entire league system rather than just the PL etc, as it would be a further safeguard for clubs who are at risk of relegation and would mean you’re in a better spot to retain players and push to get back. Personally I hope they leave and get barred from the PL, I think it would at least give us a more interesting league for a bit. Who knows maybe the PL might push through the Saudi bid for us without having Liverpool and Spurs whinging for a block.
  4. What a fucking mess. My initial thought was that we’d be rid of them from the PL but see from what you and ewerk have said that they’d remain in the English leagues. Total load of rubbish. Mind I don’t see how the same sides playing each other each season in a closed shop competition like that could hold people’s interest in the long term? I suppose I’m coming from the perspective that I barely care about the CL and dislike all 6 of these clubs tbf.
  5. I admit I haven’t read too much about it, would this stop the CL? I see UEFA are opposed to it so I assume we’d just carry on with the CL and al the leagues as if these bloated clubs never existed.
  6. Good riddance to the bloated boring cunts. They can fuck right off and play in their shite “super” league while the rest of the country can get on with the normal league system. I hope they do realize that naturally some of them will become the whipping boys, and the lower income members of that league right? I just find it such an absurd concept, so fans of Liverpool and Manchester United won’t be able to brag about being champions of England anymore, they can try and brag about this pish but who will give a fuck? I’ll personally put way more stock in the PL without them than their stupid super duper league. What the rest of the league need to do is put in stipulations that if they leave and decide they want to be back they have to start at the bottom of the ladder.
  7. I heard the commentator literally say “Newcastle have been set up perfectly by Bruce” while West Ham were all over us in the second half. I get the pricks that ignore the games completely and just lazily go off the results or the position at the exact time they bother looking, but that wanker is literally sat at the game watching
  8. Shock that when we finally attack a side down to 10 men that happens. Can we fucking fire Bruce yet ffs. It’s insane that wankers like Edwards will be chomping at the bit to give Bruce credit for this one too, it’s plain as day this was a result completely in spite of his awful instructions.
  9. Completely highlights why Bruce shouldn’t be managing a premier league side this.
  10. What a first half. West Ham are a joke, the fact these are as high up as they are highlights how frustrating it is that Ashley has clipped our clubs wings. I know they’re clearly having an off day but they’re still not that good of a side and they’re 4th ffs.
  11. After launching a well timed imaginary #venture into #British #publishing he should look into setting up a company to sell beepers, maybe VCRs too. What a fucking nob he is, only a club as shite as the mackems could attract a bloke as delusional and trampy as that.
  12. Lee Ryder (I know) is saying the “new owners” reference is with regard to the new owners of the club shop - being Castore- and not the Saudis being new owners of the club. Think this utter shit update is far more likely than Ashley accidentally letting slip anything about the takeover.
  13. I just imagine Masters crawling under a desk somewhere in the offices the arbitration is being held only to find Charnley there “I’m sorry Richard, I just like to get away sometimes, It’s really any time I have to make a decision really I just hide under here. That Bruce is doing a shocking job I just really have been hoping he quits for the last few month so I wouldn’t have to do anything” “Tell me about it Lee, this whole Saudi kerfuffle put me in a right fluffery buffery, I had that Levy and the Americans from Liverpool telling me I needed to reject it but I just couldn’t make a decision so I just kept telling everyone it was close” “ooooh that’s a good one, Mike wants me to fire all the club shop people something about Furlough and saving money, I was thinking about scaletrix so zone out when he talks about business stuff, anyway maybe saying something about the takeover being close will help!”
  14. He seems stable enough. Pretty much sums up Sunderland that one of their fans would go through all this effort over a player as fucking shite as Colback
  15. Love the slogan too “well here we go”, his next one should be “for fuck sake here goes another match”. What a fucking pleb that bloke is btw, do people actually watch him do this commentary on games?
  16. I understand they don’t give a shit, and are clearly biased, but we’ve won something like 3 in our last 23 games. Keeping this Newcastle side in the PL isn’t some great feat ffs, especially when you consider the side you have to stay ahead is a shocking Fulham side that have 5 wins all season. Btw, Gabby Agbonlahor become the absolute epitome of Brummy just a balding fat boring as fuck wanker. I don’t even know why they pay so many of these ex players to spout this utter shite, just pick one of them and let him cover everything, the result would be the same tbh.
  17. Agree, I was just trying to look at it from another angle and see if there was any other reason for them to act the way they did but it’s pretty damning stuff imo. When your own government is basically telling you to pack it in it’s a bit ridiculous to keep pursuing that unless as you say it’s simply a reason to block it.
  18. So the Saudi government stated the PiF and the state were two separate entities, then the PL asked the UK government who agreed they were two separate entities yet the PL still pursued this thread? While I agree it’s pretty likely they’re heavily commingled I’m not really sure it’s the PL’s duty to go this deep into things when at state governance level everyone involved seems happy there’s no issue.
  19. “We can't get carried away but back-to-back wins in the Premier League is huge. It sets us up nicely, we've got some tough challenges but this helps. Let's hope our players stay fit. As good as I think I am, I need our best players.” Bruce has to be taking the piss here, not only have we not won back to back games but that best player coming on was the only reason we got any points, the tactics had us losing in uninspired fashion up to that point.
  20. Aye, as Ewerk said the bloke is going to get credit for simply hoying his best player on , there was absolutely no plan before or after that sub it was simply a double sub and hope that either Wilson or ASM could produce. I know wankers like Edwards will crawl over broken glass to give Bruce credit for this but it’s a total stretch to offer him that imo, literally anyone with half a passing interest in football could have managed this with the way ASM burst into the game.
  21. ASM put the team on his back today, simple as that. The fact we looked completely clueless before ASM came on shows how out of his depth Bruce is, it’s pathetic really, I know you always miss your star players but our team can barely play football until ASM turns up .
  22. The ref honestly just gave that high boot! Didn’t even touch our player and got the ball, that ref association must be sweating trying to explain away why that one was a free kick.
  23. That excuse from the ref association is fucking disgraceful btw. It’s text book dangerous play, Tarkowski’s boot is not allowed to be that high, we’ve seen the result of that type of play with injuries such as the one Ederson sustained. Them coming out and basically just sticking by their own when the officials clearly got the decision wrong is exactly why VAR doesn’t work. Why are they even bringing up him winning the ball? It’s completely irrelevant, same as it is when a player lunges into a tackle with both feet.
