  1. I get that people are saying it’s the rule, but again I feel the rules intention is to stop it being a ball to hand that goes in, if Wilson didn’t have an arm the ball would have hit his stomach and went the same way and the result would have been the same. They can’t try to make everything black and white ffs, play was completely unchanged by it hitting his arm and they have to be able to push on with the game rather than going “well it hit his arm and then he scored a goal so ignoring every other factor and applying simply the letter of the law it’s not a goal.” Regardless we still ruined Klopp dream I’m sure he will still find a way to complain and whinge despite everything going his way in terms of decisions.
  2. He doesn’t have an initial plan rather than ideas during a game.
  3. We were really in the game then he took Clark off for Willock, why didn’t he swap Shelvey for Willock? He’s such a fucking shit manager, your team has plenty of the ball and you change the shape or put Shelvey at CB both are poor choices.
  4. What the fuck is Shelvey doing there? There’s no fucking brain in his head man, get the lazy cunt off and put Willock on ffs.
  5. He’s such a wanker. One of the whiniest managers I’ve ever seen in the PL, desperate to be a victim over this. He literally states they’re the face of the club then questions why they’re facing protests . Calling out Chelsea and Arsenal fans for protesting their own clubs, so according to him no one should have done anything and just hoped it wouldn’t happen? Tosser. I hope they get absolutely hammered with bans and punishments, they won’t but it would be hilarious to listen to that wanker whinge about it. His whole “they’ve come to their senses and we can all just move on” is just an absurd stance too.
  6. I mean their hands are sort of tied until this arbitration is over I would think. I agree it’s unlikely, but I don’t think this period of time has necessarily been them sitting idle I think they’ve been tied up waiting for Ashley and the PL to start and then go through the arbitration process. If that has a positive result I don’t see why they wouldn’t have interest in going through with the deal, Ashley obviously seems keen. It’s entirely possible that Ashley wins and the Saudis interest has passed, but I’m just not too convinced as to why that would be. I’m fairly certain that if Edwards does actually have a story he’s sitting on (he absolutely doesn’t btw, he wrote article after article about the Mauriss bid when there was clearly no way that was 100% ) it’ll be some bollocks along the lines of ‘Saudis to buy one of big 6 after ESL collapse creates panic sale as owners look to get out’ despite there being no reason whatsoever for the owners of any of those clubs to sell (still in a favorable position) and also they’ll cost far too much the same as they did when the Saudis showed interest in Liverpool. Again I do agree it’s all highly unlikely but I think it does massively hinge on this arbitration.
  7. He’s full of shit. The bloke knows absolutely nothing and has proven as much time and time again. Remember when he said the Mauriss bid was legitimate I also think it’s pretty unlikely the bloke that spent a year slating the bid and everyone connected with it would be the one to get the inside scoop. At this point he’s put that out and will hope for a negative story to come out and he’ll give it the “yep this is what I heard”.
  8. I’d say it was a valuable lesson for the PL and Sky that they need to start treating the rest of the league equally so as not to keep giving these clubs the power and arrogance to attempt things like this. Sadly absolutely fucking nothing will change, all this “let’s not forget the clubs that tried this” bullshit will end within a month.
  9. Aye, I would think the way to punish them would be to hand out bans for life from football committees etc for those involved, perhaps halve what their vote counts as in Premier League votes for a period of five years which would effectively hand the power to the “other 14” for that time. I get that they hadn’t officially left or even done much but surely the manner in which they held their discussions was cartel like and I imagine must run foul of some rule. Of course I’d love to see large fines, transfer bans, points deductions and lengthy bans from European competition but there’s no chance it happens.
  10. This is class. Hope they start getting lifetime bans, start with Perez.
  11. Dead in the water now with these 3 out.

  13. This post is implying the money lost would effectively prevent the other 14 sides from doing anything against the six sides. Of course there is a hit to the international deals but you’re implying here that the other 14 teams would effectively be powerless to stop these 6 because of that. The PL will be fine without them, sure the money will drop but that wasn’t really what was implied by your post, your post is implying that possible loss of revenue will leave everyone powerless, and it’s wrong. Whatever this Spanish court have said I fail to see how it holds any weight over FIFA and UEFA, they’re allowed to only admit those teams/players that are in their network into their competitions otherwise I could just set my own club and competition up and demand to be part of the Champions League, or that my players should be called up. As KCG said earlier the FA could just stop anyone from outside of their league system from being eligible to play for their international side, set new rules about being registered or anything. I do not see how a court gets around that, these are private competitions no ones rights are being infringed by not being allowed to play in them, the same way that they prevent you from playing for another country if you’ve already played a competitive game for one. The teams are well within their rights to go ahead and do this, no one is preventing them from doing so, but doing so doesn’t permit them to join in to competitions that relate to another footballing network. As for banning them from domestic competition, I’ve no idea about La Liga or Serie A, but the Premier League teams all signed an agreement that they cannot play in competitions external to those listed in said agreement, by entering this they’ve broken that agreement and I don’t see how they argue that they can’t be removed from the PL.
  14. It’s not the term “other 14” it was you basically implying they have no strength and rely on them for money. The money is there regardless, the UK tv deal is massive on its own, sure we lose out on some of the Asian tv deals but I don’t see how that’s even needed anyway? It all goes into the pockets of agents and owners so I don’t see that being enough to put the other 14 teams into a position where they’d have to kneel to these 6. Regardless, the PL clubs sign into an agreement that specifically states they can’t play in competitions other than those listed, I really can’t see how they get around that in any court regardless of what some random Spanish court has said (how did they reach this verdict? What case has been brought to them? Or have they just randomly said this?)
  15. A court with no jurisdiction over FIFA and UEFA is about as relevant as us talking about it. You were pretty dismissive about the “other 14” chances of maintaining the league earlier which is what got my back up tbh. If you’re against it that’s fine but some of your responses haven’t really leant to that other than the initial response to ewerk. It is a Newcastle forum aye, which is why any response that references we’d need and depend on the likes of Spurs to exist is going to annoy people tbh.
  16. Hopefully your club gets it. You seem pretty desperate for it to work, so fingers crossed for you. Be glad to see the back of the super clubs, and the tag alongs like Spurs. FWIW I don’t know what that Spanish court is but I’m not sure how they have any jurisdiction over UEFA and FIFA
  17. If true this is surely against the ESL and if so it’s dead in the water.
  18. I’m sure everyone will be shocked to know Klopp has immediately started playing the victim and whinging here.
  19. When he cuts out of the meeting of the “other 14” to call Mike ”Hi Mr Ashley... I mean sir, just wanted to ask if there’s been any further development in the design of the no fear cut off Jean shorts? There’s quite a demand from certain communities....” ”fack sake Lee I fort you were telling me about this fackin meeting. You’ve been told about this fackin weird jean short thing before, keep Bruce in a job and the no fear shorts are all yours”
  20. ”I count thirteen people, where’s the bloke from Newcastle?” muffled “I’m here” “Oh hi Lee, I forgot you like to hide under the table for decisions”
  21. The other 14 clubs should start holding meetings too and clubbing together to vote in their interests, hopefully this underlines to the usual scabs i.e. Everton that they’re not part of that little club and they need to start to look out for their own interests, rather than those of where they aspire to be. Be nice if we can all move to remove Masters from his position, he’s just a complete shill for these 6 teams. Likely don’t have the votes but it’ll send a signal to these six that they’ll never get the votes to push any of their dog shit agendas.
  22. Isn’t this wanker the head of this soopa doopa league? It sounds like it’s going to be AMAZING. They should also add VAR review over everything to make sure every decision is 100% right so that way the money is always going into the right pockets.
  23. Spot on, it’s ridiculous this assumption that the leagues collapse without these teams. There will be a dip in the TV money due to Chinese/US interest splitting to some degree between the super league and the domestic leagues (more than likely in favor of super league at first but as time goes by who knows honestly), but within England the focus will stay with the Premier League and other domestic leagues. Most of the people in England that follow football don’t support one of these 6 teams. The money might decrease a bit for a period of time but that has no impact on fans imo, it’ll just return to a few years back where you pay £5m for a player you’re currently paying £15m for. Add to that a refreshed hierarchy of teams, owners likely making plays/gambles to get their foot in that door etc I think it’ll be far more interesting than Real Madrid v Liverpool for 4th time in a year.
  24. Also can add that FIFA have their eyes on their own club World Cup type tournaments, this would put paid to anything like that which is why they will fight tooth and nail alongside UEFA on this.
  25. Aye, I don’t understand this viewpoint that these breakaway teams stand much chance of winning the legal side of things, they’re going to get mullered. I know a Liverpool fan who brought this up and said surely they have thought through all the legal side of things before doing this, I genuinely don’t think they have I think they’re arrogant enough to believe everyone else will tow the line they’re setting. As PL pointed out there’s strong rules in place that stop teams playing in external competitions, straight away that will give the PL the strong hand in any legal sense as these teams all agreed to that. KCG is also right about internationals imo, it’s the same way how international teams can force players to play international matches (recent example was Matuidi iirc). They are FIFA owned tournaments, they’ll just require you to be registered with a club that plays in an FA approved division or something of that ilk, you can’t ban them from things like the Olympics I agree, but who cares about the Olympics football competition? Fwiw Diego I think this is absolutely something that’s better to be out of than in. It’s a mechanism built on pure greed and is wholly aimed at the Chinese and US markets. The rest of the game will move on quickly, this idea that the “other 14’s” league will crumble and struggle is a complete fallacy, one that these breakaway teams want everyone to believe.
