  1. Fair enough. For me I see a team in training wheels when they don’t need it. Some of the best chance creators in Europe in Grealish and Sancho barely see the pitch, even when we are screaming for technical players or goal threat. We played an Italian side who are technically sound, and comfortable in possession where I think the one avenue we could have really got at that was with pace, especially against their left back Emerson who is tragic tbh. Instead he did about as much as he could to remove pace from our side, even playing Walker at CB, Mount was another poor selection as he’s been poor all tournament and pace isn’t in his locker. What frustrates me with Southgate is all he does is look to not lose rather than ever look to win. His selections of players like Mount (supposedly tracks back more and is more solid defensively than players like Grealish and Foden), Phillips (basically a CB when compared to the vastly superior number 6 in Henderson), and for me glaringly Saka who is a player I rate but he’s just not in the same bracket as Grealish, Foden, Sancho, and Rashford currently but because he can play wing back Southgate knows he’s more defensive than the other options. The bloke has done a tremendous job in terms of man management, bringing a lot of these lads through and giving chances, but tactically he’s not up to this and it’s shone through in a lot of the games. Not that what I think matters as he’s been given a contract iirc but we won’t win with this bloke, he’s far too scared to allow talented players to perform their roles. He got it all wrong for me today, we barely touched the ball second half and as good as the Italians are their players absolutely aren’t that far ahead of ours that we should be having under 30% of the ball in what is basically a home fixture. We never caused them much worry, and when we have that much pace at our disposal against a team with so little pace that’s questionable especially when for a good 35 minutes Bonucci and Chiellini were sat on the half way line yet not once did Southgate think to make a change to pressure that. He’s an assistant manager imo.
  2. Southgate is fucking shit man. They’ve got through nearly every round in spite of him, we’ve played weak opposition and managed to over come them due to pure talent. He’s played a back 7 because he’s fucking terrified of losing, despite having arguably more talent at his disposal. If the managers were swapped we’d have battered them.
  3. I blame Southgate completely. Shit management that entire game, the formation and selections were wrong from the start and every single person other than that fucking TIT can see it. We’ve said over and over again every match that it was wrong just to hear “but he won” from the blowjob squad, but this is why I doubted him. He brought his best players on deep into injury time, Italy were the better side but we didn’t even fuckinv turn up as he plays the wrong players. Kalvin Phillips is FUCKING SHIT Henderson plays the same role and is better in every single way so why play him. I don’t blame the pen missers this fucking wanker barely played them then expected them to step on and win us the trophy . We have the best squad I’ve seen England have and have trusted it to this absolute fucking LOSER.
  4. Fuck it. He’s the man and we will win
  5. I keep trying to tell myself that but I worry we’ve made it due to the talent available rather than Southgates tactics. I think he does so much well in terms of man management, squad management, controlling the expectations and making sure we are focused on each game, but he makes some funny fucking decisions.
  6. I’m worried about the team selection, I thought the way we could win is pace but he’s basically removed any pace from the side by playing Walker at CB and picking Mount over Saka for some fucking reason. I know his intention is to shithouse and keep it close until he can try and change the game with subs, but I thought he’d have at least allowed us to have a bit of a go from kick off.
  7. Probably one of our better ones in a long time tbf. The purple one people were posting is the goalkeeper kit btw.
  8. According to the slug himself we’d of course have won everything by now. 100% win record and don’t you forget it.
  9. Aye it was soft, it’s sort of being swept under the rug how much of a bunch of shit houses the Danish were. Delaney had 6 fouls without a card, and they got away with a fucking ton of clear fouls. The ref must have thought Kjaer, Christensen, and Vestergaard can legitimately keep pace with Sterling and Saka when in actual fact the pair of them were checked or grabbed nearly everytime they touched the ball. I also don’t really see what was so absurdly egregious about the Sterling pen, it was soft but a lot of outlets are looking at the second contact rather than the initial one, it might have been soft but I can see why it was given as yet again the Danish players basically looked to block the player and not the ball as they had done all fucking game. Pens like that are given constantly in the league, I get the argument of feeling aggrieved if it happened against your side but I think the reverse applies that if that wasn’t given our side would have felt aggrieved. They also have a brass neck whinging about diving when their lot were going down like absolute fannies under any contact, the most egregious was Vestergaard acting like Tyson Fury smacked him after Sterlings hand grazed his cheek. The result was fair tbh, people can whinge about the penalty but it wasn’t some absurdly blatant dive under zero contact and the Danish absolutely didn’t deserve anything from the game.
  10. Fucking unreal, never thought I’d see a final tbh. I was too young for any of Newcastle’s and England were always useless at tournaments. Fucking buzzing. I’m going to be a wreck on Sunday mind. Hopefully the takeover goes through and this is the first of many I get to watch.
  11. Thank fuck for that. The pen was soft but the Danes were absolute shit houses most of the match and the ref repeatedly let them get away with it, I think Delaney alone racked up about 6 fouls without a booking. Schmeichel was brilliant, Pickford again showing why he shouldn’t start for England. Southgate is a funny fucker. Phillips and Rice must have some dodgy photos of him as I’ve no idea how both of them start over Henderson, Phillips got nutmegged about 5 times jumping into shit tackles and I’m not sure where he’s looking when he tries to pass. His subs are baffling too, Mount was hopeless and Saka got an assist so he subs Saka off and leaves Mount flagging for another 15 minutes. We won but he needs to stop making these weird fucking choices or we will really be in danger, Jorginho and Verrati against Rice and Phillips isn’t the way to set up.
  12. To be fair to Pickford it’s really hard to reach that when your hands come directly out of your shoulders.
  13. They’re literally a fucking third division side . More than welcome to tag along for anything Jordan Henderson does, but the mental thing is he’s legitimately one of the most successful and widely known mackems of all time, so do they really want to pick this as the hill to die on? Third fucking division , oh aye and I see mega rich trust fund boy has carried on with furlough which definitely indicates he’s going to piss a ton of money against the wall to bring them back to their glory days of being the shit that won’t flush in the PL. Honestly the Main Street in Bishop Auckland gives their Main Street a run for its money, that’s how fucking wank Sunderland is. My sister never understood the disdain I had for mackems and then she worked on a make up counter at a store in the bridges and she fucking hates the cunts now . Said she’d never seen so many people just fucking hockle in the street, and had never had to cover up as much acne scarring in her life until she worked on those fucking mouth breathing inbreds. They’re fucking minging. Shit little town, with absolutely fucking nowt going on. I’ve lived in America for years and everyone knows Newcastle whether it’s due to the beer, the football team, even the film goal, etc none of them know the mackems. If it wasn’t clear for any mackems out there I absolutely do think I’m better than you, you mouth breathing helmets. But aye Jordan Henderson is better than Alan Shearer or something .
  14. So he’s having a go at Newcastle fans who are discussing the tweet of a guy that’s involved with the consortium that’s trying to buy Newcastle, with the tweet itself being about the ongoing legal case regarding Newcastle and the takeover. He genuinely doesn’t understand how that would be newsworthy for Newcastle United fans? What a sanctimonious, stuck up little prick he is. I’d say I look forward to the day he’s replaced but I don’t give a flying fuck about the Telegraph tbh, they can employ the fool if they want.
  15. Aye, I just see it as them trying to stop this closed doors decision making that Football governing bodies tend to do, and it’s a practice that is by and large done because their decisions don’t hold a great deal of weight legally as seen by Manchester City slapping FFP aside. The PL received this for review and sat on it until the deal basically had to fall apart in order to create an event and allow them to pursue other means, they were allowed to just sit on it and pretend they were doing something since it’s all weirdly behind closed doors despite both parties being perfectly willing for it to be an open process. I think it was Cellinio at Leeds who was involved with an active court case that he had committed fraud, so the EFL (I think) blocked his move for Leeds on those grounds, he sought court proceedings and argued that he was not guilty of fraud and should be allowed to buy the club and won, and took control but shortly afterwards was found guilty and kept fighting that. I see something along those lines as fairly key in our argument, the PL will try and use the piracy argument but if they thought it really did hold weight why didn’t they just reject the bid and cite that? Instead they dragged it on behind closed doors knowing that since there hadn’t been any legal precedent finding them guilty of it they wouldn’t be able to hold much weight with it. I think this whole connecting the Saudis and asking MBS to submit to the O&D test is another of their little games as they know that was never happening, I think it’s also been found in French court that there was separation, as well as the UK Government being satisfied there was as well. While it clearly appears there isn’t and it’s a possibility the piracy claims have merit the PL is basically basing their “rejection” on accusations, which in and of itself is dodgy. I think trying to force it into the public space reduces the chances of them wriggling out of it through some behind closed doors agreement as they’ll have to actually substantiate their claims. I honestly don’t see how the PL win this as it seems dodgy as fuck tbh, they were basically demanding an absurd level of proof that apparently French legal courts, and the UK government did not need, so I think it’s a tough argument to demand they’re due that in a case they’re trying to basically restrict trade. Maybe the Saudis aren’t interested, Ashley wins and pockets the money, or they remain interested and we become the next monied club, but I just can’t see how the PL wins the same way I couldn’t see how UEFA could defend FFP.
  16. I love that we can’t support England now, as we’re just piggybacking off their success if we do. It’s also mint the logic they just make up to mean they’re better, such an odd fucking support man. They’re literally banging on about trophies Henderson has won at Liverpool and comparing it to Shearer, if that’s the case then we can bring Michael Carrick into the argument for fuck sake . Be pleased a youth product of your club is doing well by all means but he’s doing it on his own bat now, it’s not some accolade for SAFC further than it being a former youth player of theirs. From my knowledge not a single person made similar weird arguments about Carrick in a weird Geordie v Mackem thing like this. Maybe it’s because we’re just miles better as a club so we don’t have to make up weird things to be better at like ‘classy’ or ‘look at our youth products doing better than the mags youth products even though it’s not helping our club at all’.
  17. I think at this point it’s clear that everyone connected with Newcastle is a MLF, it’ll one day come out that Alan Shearer himself is the massive-ist MLF and that he simply had a successful career and broke all the PL and Newcastle scoring records with the hope that we’d build a statue of him and then a MLF statue will be outside SJP.
  18. Also FWIW I’m glad they’re doing well and hope they continue to do so, if the reverse was the case and they were both born in Newcastle would the mackems be saying likewise? Obsessed little weirdos.
  19. I think it would be more of an apt dig if either of them had really reached their current level at the mackems. They both basically sprinted out the door as soon as they could. Anything for them to try and cling on to being better at some random thing than Newcastle I suppose.
  20. Straight forward that, Denmark are a canny side but I think they’ll struggle to create much against us, the question again is just about if we can score. I think a final against Italy would be really tough, it’ll be interesting to see how they do without Spinizzolla as he’s been a real driving force for them. A good defensive side is a pretty bad match up for the way Southgate plays, Italy are also among the most fluid in attack at this tournament. I think if Spain manage to get to the final (provided we do too) I’d actually have us as favorite which is a bit odd to think, as I think their defence is wank so we’d have a decent chance at scoring then shithousing them.
  21. Luke Edwards is a cock. It’s clear no one showed enough interest to his first attempt so he has kept going. As Rayvin said the bloke is completely clueless, I’m not saying the takeover will go through but the bloke just keeps repeating its dead when it clearly hasn’t been. The bloke thought a clearly fraudulent bid by an American who lived in the most generic middle class American house was the true bid and the Saudi stuff was just made up what a twat. I see the attempt to make things public as just more brinksmanship, the PL keep trying to put off any decision or proceedings and now NUFC are trying to give them another thing they have to argue. I don’t see it as saying a whole lot one way or another, it’s no surprise at all to me that Edwards is trying to proclaim it means the bid is dead the same stupid cunt didn’t understand the bid in the first place so wrote a piece saying that means it’s not truthful. I don’t think it’ll happen fwiw, I think Ashley is just aiming for compensation and the Saudis have probably moved on but that’s just complete guesswork, I’m confident I know more about all this than Edwards though the fucking gimp. Imo it’s a story he wrote off from day 1 as he was traveling to the UEFA cup final and couldn’t be arsed at the time, then rather than climb down he just continued to double down on his position that it was all made up. It’s also all happening in business and legal areas he clearly doesn’t understand, which is fine but rather than do his job and maybe talk to people that know these processes he’s just carried on taking the lazy option and saying it’s all bollocks. The blokes stuff isn’t worth a second of anyone on here’s time, there’s far more insightful stuff wrote on here than anything that bloke writes.
  22. Its worth noting that if England win the Euros it adds another twist to the Steve Bruce - Graham Jones saga. Bruce banning every journalist that asks about it from press conferences leaving just Lee Ryder to ask the hard hitting questions such as what’s his favorite rice pairing for his chicken Bhuna, I imagine his answer will be the same as my dads cousin who said he has his with chips because rice is for pudding.
  23. While it obviously worked I just don’t understand starting Saka. We clearly have better players available to play that position (including one that came on and helped create both goals). I think the bloke is talented but it’s just weird picking a player that clearly isn’t as good as the other options, especially when it’s not like he’s incredibly quick when compared to Sancho or anything like that. Good result, Kalvin Phillips is shite but Rice had a good game. The Germans were poor, I will say the way Southgate sets us up clearly makes us very hard to beat but the worry is if we can score which is mental considering the talent we have in attacking positions.
  24. How are we still playing two DMs that are both on yellow cards and the game has by and large bypassed them. Saka is also struggling this game. Can we sub Southgate?
  25. I saw something that Southgate is considering playing a back 5 and still having Phillips and Rice paired, if that happens this will be a brutal watch.
