I read somewhere once that in Serie A managers aren’t really sacked but effectively placed on gardening leave, they still get paid their wage over time but if they want to take another job they pretty much have to quit the gardening leave and forgo the rest of that contract. If there is a chance of us getting Conte he’d 100% be my choice. For me he’s among the best in the world, has turned around and won things with every club he has managed, just a true winner. I’m still in shock that this has went through and we are finally rid of Mike Ashley, the absolute whirlwind way it come out of nowhere and went through in a 24 hour or so period probably amplifies the feeling of shock.
