Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official
Howay replied to The Mighty Hog's topic in Newcastle Forum
He’s always been a big cry baby tbf. They spent £80m on a keeper and £75m on a centre half ffs. They can say it was the Coutinho money but they’ve spent far more than that. Wherever the money is sourced, whether it is from the owners, or sponsorships and people abroad buying shirts the end result is the same, it creates inequity in the league something Liverpool have long enjoyed having on their side due to the revenue generation abilities of their past success, which came from…. having more money than others. -

This fucking Cundy is wounded by this isn’t he. I’m sure this will be an intellectual and balanced debate, who gives a flying fuck? -
Agreed, it hasn’t been great but I do think it’s because there’s a lack of structure at the minute. I think once the Edwards/Marwood/Rangnick/whoever type structure is built out a lot of these decisions will be carried out by them, with Al-Rummayan and PiF only getting involved when it comes to discussing budgets/targets and large outlays for the year.

It’s staggering man, this is their second day off this week isn’t it? Since Saturday/Sunday was a day off as well. He’s such a lazy fucking prick. I think that they want the football structure in place and don’t want to involve themselves in sacking Bruce, I guess the idea is leave the current structure as is until they bring in Marwood above Rangnick who will then have reign to appoint his own head coach. I know in a business acquisition (short of a private equity firm being the buyer) this bit can take a while, hopefully with it being football and there being the threat of relegation they can expedite it. I see it from their angle but like I’ve said in the past there’s zero negative and a ton of positives to removing Bruce even if it’s just putting Jones in charge.

The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread

Adds to the ridiculousness of their point tbh, as if the players they’re holding up as playing for the badge wouldn’t run off as fast as they can if offered more money or a higher level. -

Have to cherish watching the likes of Jeff Hendricks sprinting around, won’t see many games from that calibre player, the mackems reckon it’s way better watching lads like that busting a gut playing for the badge than watching genuine world class players. It’s going to be a tough slog, but I suppose someone has to do it. -

How bad is the Chronicle website btw, my phone just about blew up with the amount of shite popping up all over the screen, even when trying to read the article it would expand with some random survey question. Shockingly shit. -
Agreed, I get Gemmill and others point but leaving this rot in charge is a misstep. He’s not a competent manager that is doing an ok job and the new owners simply want their own man, he’s a massive negative and one that has done nothing but insult the fan base and club for 2.5 years. Keeping him just delays any type of rebuild or fresh feeling, he’s just a lingering stale fart that’s killing the excitement post Ashley. There would be no negative to having Jones take over in the interim, honestly he’d probably do a better job anyway, but the upside would be it would keep the wave of positivity going. Instead we’re going to have 5-6 days of the media cranking out absolute drivel about Bruce, his 1,000th game, how the fans are wrong and he’s clearly a good manager as look the new owners are giving him a chance. Suddenly that excited atmosphere and celebratory mood would become a little bit flatter for Sunday’s game. If he’s in the dug out it’ll be harder for it to feel like things have changed, we’ve got rid of the cancer but this fucking symptom is still lingering and causing the shits.

I must admit I fucking hate when these journalists start acting like fans don’t get it “not contractually simple to change things quick” erm aye it really is just sack the cunt. Personally I think they want a sports director in first, I think they probably also want it to look like it’s not a decision purely to get fans on side. If he’s manager of another game I think it’s a wrong decision whatever the optics they’re trying to show are.
-
The football isn’t too cautious like, it’s devoid of any tactical framework whatsoever. I assume Winter, like many of these journalists demanding Bruce gets “respect” wouldn’t know that as they’ve barely seen us play over the last few year. I put respect in quotes as I’m genuinely baffled by what they mean by it, Newcastle fans are just saying he should be sacked, he will receive an outrageous pay off, what the fuck more do they want? The bloke isn’t getting assaulted or hounded by fans in anyway, most the chat on social media is just how he’s done a shit job while many in the media are trying to ridiculously paint it as a decent job in hard circumstances, despite those circumstances being well known to him long before he took the job. He’s shown zero respect to the fan base and the club, so I’m not sure why he should be treat with anything besides contempt now we are finally about to be rid of him.

To be fair if you took the lad who wrote that’s GCSE results you could spell out FUDGE, I think he fell off the math track around addition and subtraction and took to the proud cultural mackem tradition of huffing glue under bridges.

Oh I’ll keep talking about the bastards. I find it absolutely fucking hilarious tbh, and it’s going to get better and better going forward. They couldn’t even figure out how to leapfrog us while Ashley held a pillow over the face of the club, in fact they managed to get relegated to League One trying to do it. Worthless club, they should be happy we pay attention as no fucker else does. The difference is I’m just laughing at the daft bastards twisting themselves in knots, they sit and read/watch all the coverage about us and get actively pissed off then fume about it in 30 different threads on that eyesore forum of theirs. They’ve went from drenching themselves in blue pop screaming they were North East top dogs after finishing 17th while we finished 18th, to acting like they get more enjoyment from watching some talentless wankers we’ve never heard of kick balls around uneven pitches than they would if their team was playing CL football with a world class line up of players. At the end of the day they can dress it up however they want but football is an entertainment business, there’s a reason more people watch Champions League football than watch lower league football, so they can pipe down.

Just noticed that reply was a Man City fan, I guess he missed the memo that he’s meant to fucking love Sunderland now?
-
By the way, like that he slipped in that Leicester could have been them, on what planet? I’m glad he enjoys being shite as it’s something that club will be for his entire life.
-
I’m honestly no longer treating anyone that states Bruce is hard done by, or says he’s done a good job with the benefit of saying they’re on the wind up, as far as I’m concerned they just know nothing about football. It’s actually laughable the bloke is as bad as he is and he’s made a career this long in management, we’ve played 8 this season in all comps and we’ve not come close to a win I’m not even sure how many minutes we’ve even been ahead in games. The fact they are still banging on about it as if it’s even a talking point honestly makes me think they genuinely believe he has done a good job, which is an embarrassing opinion.
-
The differences between the two clubs are immense, but one of the stark contrasts is note that Sunderland has not been brought up a single time by any of our new owners, contrast that to every single one of their owners and prospective owners never shutting the fuck up about NUFC.

I don’t want Gerrard to be our manager. Primarily because I don’t like the fucker, and I don’t like Liverpool. Additionally he’s unproven and light on experience, imo he wants to be Liverpool manager and I don’t want us to be some testing ground/learning experience for the prick on route to his dream job, we’re no ones stepping stone anymore. Get someone that’s a better and more experienced coach tbh.

The mackems used to write long threads about how mint he is, I’d be more than happy for them to have him.
