  1. It’s a kick in the balls for FFP iirc, that’s the main factor about being frustrated about it for me alongside the obvious wasted year down there. The result of Ashleys fucking total neglect, especially since the takeover breakdown/legal proceedings where he just completely gave up altogether with NUFC. I agree with the point of the outrage dying down, I used to worry they would use the year to get their house and attacks in order but tbh they’re a bunch of tits, they’ll do the same as they did when the initial breakdown happened - bury their heads in the sand and pretend it won’t be a problem.
  2. Fucking Clark man. What a divvy, firstly to miss a simple clearance like that but to then do what he did? Hopefully that’s the last time he plays for us tbh still not sure why Fernandez doesn’t start over him. The team have done well with 10 but it’s going to be hard for them to keep this up let alone do enough to win. Shame as Norwich look abysmal.
  3. We are where we are in large part because his mate was our manager for nearly 2 and a half years, in general it is of course down to Ashley but Bruce deserves a lot of criticism for where we are and as I’ve said in the past if Edwards can’t see why he should pack in being a football journalist as it’s bleedingly obvious. We’ve already seen performances from certain players better than anything they did while Bruce was manager and it’s been two fucking weeks. His point is also, as per usual with him, completely wrong anyway. He’s trying to frame it as if it’s almost exclusively the players being the issue, while accusing others of pinning it all on Bruce yet two minutes scanning comments on anything regarding our team and you’ll see huge gripes people had with player performance and ability before Bruce, during Bruce’s tenure, and still to this day. In short the blokes a fucking prick, he puts everything in black and white terms while accusing others of doing the same despite the fact basically nobody does. We all know the squad is weak but the point being they’ve visibly regressed during his tenure, the ability levels of this group of players absolutely isn’t bottom of the PL with no wins, we’ve seen far more from them in past seasons and his ridiculous “no longer capable” or however he phrased it holds no water imo you’re talking about a 2 season time scale here not 5-6. The players have received hardly any training or tactics in Bruce’s tenure, and the fact that Edwards literally blows that off in the below tweet shows the level of bollocks he posts to defend his unqualified bestie: the arrogance of this tool aye you’re right Luke, change the entire mood, actually train the players, etc and absolutely nothing will improve ffs man how can he even tweet this? Does he genuinely think if Howe was given this team back in June we would be in this same position? If the answer is no (hint it definitely is) then his entire shit point is made redundant. He’s clearly dressing this Arsenal result up as a massive failure but despite losing 2-0 in what was imo a poor performance we still managed 5 shots on target to their 6, that gives us a fighting chance of walking away with points, in contrast we went games under Bruce without registering any shots on target which is simply unacceptable. As far as I’m concerned the bloke has absolutely no credibility as a journalist. I still see his ridiculous tweets but I’ll never read any of his articles, he’s shit at his job so why bother? Tweets like the above are simply embarrassing as well, attacking and insulting the fan base he’s supposed to be covering games for yet he then whinges when people insult him? I’m not sure what he expects. Then again he cried when similar was happening to Bruce, the pair of fucking fannies.
  4. Wolves are one of those teams who are annoyingly shit when we need them to win. Pack of bastards.
  5. Agreed, that exact reason is why the commentators excuse of shoulder to shoulder didn’t wash for me. Like you say if the ball was there for both to win it could have been argued shoulder to shoulder, but the Arsenal player had no play on the ball and Wilson did.
  6. We’ve been poor today, Krafth was pulled all over in the lead up to their second. I don’t understand how the daft cunt commentating is saying the pen shout was soft btw it’s a total stone wall pen nowadays that, what else can the attacker do in the situation? He’s got goal side of his man running onto the ball and gets barged right over. That’s not ‘shoulder to shoulder’ where you’re contending for the ball ffs the defender had no chance of getting near the ball.
  7. Nice to see them finally discussing things they clearly have a clue about.
  8. it’s almost like he’s making it up. That Twitter account in particular baffles me as to why it has followers, almost everything I see it say is close doesn’t seem to happen so it’s clear as day they’re just rehashing what the press rumours are and presenting it as ITK yet people follow it.
  9. He has shown iron clad commitment there, out of respect the hair grew back no hair plugs needed.
  10. #carboot #jumblesale #givemeyourfreestuff #livesunderabridge
  11. I heard the Manchester United fans were chanting Ole out, disgraceful tbh. He’s a man from a good family, he shouldn’t have to put up with the abuse he suffered from that toxic fan base. I expect we will be hearing all about how awful it is from the media, and not them licking their lips at yoooonoited getting a top manager in?
  12. Agree with this, we’re hard up points wise thanks to the worst manager in PL history phoning it in but that was very positive after 10 days training. 23 shots with 9 on target, I really can’t remember the last time we come close to that. Obviously we really needed a win but it’s so positive to see players most have wrote off because of how bad they’ve been coached looking capable.
  13. Aye he deserves a large share of the blame today. Shaky as fuck from the off. Positive but frustrating game, we deserved to win but our errors at the back gifted them goals. Nice to see us on the front foot and hopefully we grow from here.
  14. Darlow has been fucking dogshit today, plenty of fault with others leading to that goal but it stemmed from him being glued to his line earlier.
  15. Joelinton looks a different player, all over the pitch putting in good tackles and passes and cracking finish. Really mint to see us playing on the front foot for the first time in fucking years.
  16. Very nice kit tbf, maybe it’s been made so they can sell kits in Saudi Arabia? Not sure if they can just remove the sponsor on the original home kit for sale there or if this is a way of getting round that.
  17. You’re the liar here tbh, you’ve cherry picked latter posts after you watered down your language of your initial point as you climbed down. People explained to you why a loan could happen but you were arguing against it, not presenting an opinion but acting like they were wrong. If you agreed a loan is an option what was it you took such exception to in Wykiki’s initial post when you responded the way you did? then when people explained it all to you you then made the above retorts which make absolutely no sense unless you’re implying a loan wasn’t a possibility. You weren’t even saying you don’t see Manchester United going for it, you were taking the approach of acting like it was so ridiculous of a thought that you repeatedly asked the same question each time people told you why. The same as when you use the word ‘clearly’ in reference to Manchester United keeping him, yet another thing you’re completely incorrect in saying, it’s not ‘clear’ it’s pure speculation on your part. I agree that this is over though. You’re really arguing with yourself here tbh, your initial point absolutely was that of a loan wasn’t an option as you asked a rhetorical question like Wykikis point was absurd and further doubled, and tripled down on it, I made that point clear a number of times that this was your initial point and you never attacked it until this absurd post where you’ve resorted to insults (calling me a liar is the insult I’m referring to here since you need everything explained to you), I (and others) explained a number of ways why it’s a possibility and you twisted things in some weird attempt to reframe it as if I was suggesting a loan was a better option, and even said it’s all speculation (which was my entire point on why you were wrong). Like I say this is my last post on this one as I’m tired of repeatedly explaining all of the above, enjoy whatever ridiculous discussion you move onto next as this is the third or so shit point you’ve made in however long you’ve posted.
  18. You’re wrong. You flat out rejected people saying a loan was an option. Again I never said anywhere that a permanent option wouldn’t be on the table, just that your point is based entirely on an assumption whereas you were dismissing the possibility of a loan by acting like there’d definitely be permanent moves. It’s not circular it’s simply all speculation the same as your shit point that you’re presenting as fact. There’s nothing circular about saying a loan may be the only option. You’re yet again basing your point on possibility despite you using that to flat out reject the loan route being available. So again you’re wrong. I know the whole conversation is speculative, you were the one dismissing the option. You didn’t say “I don’t think a loan would happen because….” you instead argued with people acting like it simply wouldn’t happen because you assume there will be permanent options. I can keep using that as my counter as it flat out reject your entire shit point. Again your final point is pure speculation, I’ve not said anywhere they didn’t hold onto him for squad depth I’ve only attacked your point that you presented as the only reason with a possible counter that they held onto him hoping to get a larger fee, maybe they did reject it due to squad depth then went and got Cristiano Ronaldo so he was pushed further down the pecking order, it’s entirely possible but again I wasn’t arguing that there weren’t other possibilities the way you often have.
  19. Oh aye, another reason it would be preferable to loan and pay Lingard more, which might work out equal to a transfer fee is that way I’m not giving a rival PL club money they can then use on another player.
  20. Your initial point was why would you loan a player who had 6 months on their contract, you then further made a point of why would Manchester United do that. I was responding to that, of course I’m guessing that there might not be any permanent offers but I never made a point that he wouldn’t move permanently or that moving permanently didn’t make sense whereas you made those points in reference to moving on loan. None of your second paragraph takes away from my point, it might be Lingards preference to go out on loan since he can get more money it may not be an option to sign permanently meaning a loan is the option of signing him. Again you were the one dismissing a loan option so don’t try and twist things. You’re also missing the positive for a loaning club that if he comes and the move turns out to not work they can walk away from the deal. You’re again guessing they rejected bids because of squad depth, iirc they were rumoured to have offered him to West Ham for a fee West Ham didn’t want to pay. I disagree someone else needs to fill those very sparse sub appearances (5 in the PL, the rest in competitions they may or may not be involved in much longer) in many instances they have other players who could have come on already, or even a youth player, they’re also going to have to fill that role in the summer now regardless. Maybe they will reject everything simply to cover this tiny role and lose him for nowt, but again you were the one dismissing the loan possibility off hand here I’ve never said he will move simply offered reasons for why a loan might happen. Also in reference to the open market point iirc he can agree a pre contract with another club any time after having less than 6 months on his deal. Making it highly likely he’d sign with the club he’s on loan with, again not a certainty but again he might not be giving clubs the option you’re making out like Manchester United and buying clubs hold all the power when you frame it like that.
  21. You’re guessing though. What happens if there’s not? Why pay Manchester United a transfer fee if you could get him for a smaller loan fee and potentially sign him to a contract in the summer? It also makes more sense for Lingard himself to move on loan, that way he’d likely get a larger wage and/or larger signing bonus as is typical for players that move on a free. He’s played 5 sub appearances for them, they barely need him and likely wouldn’t need to replace him. It’s better for them to get something for him if possible whether that’s a loan or a permanent transfer, holding out for more is exactly what landed them in this current situation. I’d rather we permanently signed him, I think he’s a good player and would improve our side by a good amount. It also means we could bring others in on loan if needed.
  22. They wanted a big fee, no one (mainly West Ham) would pay as he was going into the last year of his deal mainly. He’s since weakened their hand by refusing to sign a new deal (which they wanted him to simply to strengthen their hand in a possible sale). If there is no other option to sell why wouldn’t they loan him out? If someone come in for him then yes that would be their preferred option but they might only have the option to loan him out meaning they get something for him as well as not having to pay his wages, they don’t play him much so it’s not like they’re clamoring to keep him for that reason.
  23. There’s surely some stats that tell the story that Charnley was fucking brilliant in his role. Tbh he lasted longer in the role than any of his predecessors so was vital. 😉
