Manchester United getting a nice little break ahead of their game with us as well, meanwhile we had to play Leicester, Liverpool, and Manchester City in the same time span. The same goes with Spurs who’ve had games off and play Liverpool tomorrow. It’s becoming a bit fucking ridiculous, you’d have thought they’d have learnt from last time and called the emergency meeting this past mid week rather than ridiculously trying to push on with these fixtures. Calling games off barely a match length ahead of time is an absolute fucking disgrace btw.

What a fucking twerp Owen is. Man with zero mates has no clue why a fan base of a club he literally gave up playing for as they were fighting relegation, and has went out of his way numerous times to slate, don’t like him. Saying he feared for his safety btw attention seeking little dick head.

Aye, I’ve seen the people saying his kids support Liverpool and the Liverpool fans trying to call people out as people have said it’s his sons but he has daughters. Regardless of his kids affiliations he’s from the fucking Wirral and 100% has family that support LFC or EFC, it just shouldn’t be allowed he will clearly have some type of bias. The Liverpool glory hunter I know was trying to argue with me that Dean attends “loads” of Tranmere games, I asked if he’s based that off seeing the bloke jump up and down on his seat at that play off game a couple of years ago and he changed subject sharpish- seems to me attending a well televised game and making enough of a tit of yourself at it is enough to convince some youre 100% a Tranmere fan . That’s another thread btw how the fuck can you be a Liverpool glory hunter and be so against the city you are actually from? It fucking baffles me.

It was genuinely atrocious officiating. The rule is completely clear, if it’s a suspected head injury the ref has to stop play, I agree with others that if a goal had come immediately the decision was hard to make but the ball was cleared and he had a good amount of time to just halt play. Instead he chose to allow play to carry on with two players down in the middle of the area, one of them even being the one who played Jota onside. The pen decision was also rank imo, you can’t take the player first then the ball but Dean and VAR are never giving that for us. His run in front of Shelvey was also a fucking joke, why the fuck is he there? And if so why is he running across the ball like that? He clearly impeded Shelvey from pressing. One of the worst displays of officiating I’ve seen in a long time. I know the bloke is from the Wirral and claims to be a Tranmere fan iirc but whatever the case he shouldn’t be officiating Liverpool or Everton games, either he just had one of the worst ref displays I’ve seen by complete chance or something dodgy was going on but the fact there’s even a question of that is on the PL for allowing this plonker to be in charge of Liverpool games. Hard to look past those decisions for me in terms of the game, they were so egregious imo that it completely ruined the game. Imagine the fucking meltdown the teeth nasher would be having if those decisions were against him.

Aye, my brother in laws dad is an ex-pro, he’s comfortable enough to joke about what he missed out on but he’s pretty clear that a lot of his colleagues are bitter as fuck about it. Souness definitely has that bitterness in his locker along with the rest.

I’m sure this has been posted or mentioned so apologize if so, just saw it and want to say this is a fucking disgrace tbh. The state of punditry is appalling. Note all Pardew said was that when the stadium is full and the fan base is fired up it’s amazing, absolutely nothing that dour prick Souness says counters that he just insults the club and basically suggests fans are irrelevant. I understand fans of other clubs will find this funny but tbh once they get over the initial piss taking they should re listen to the arrogant agenda driven prick. It’s just insulting to a PL club for no reason that his little grudge that he holds towards us because he did such a terrible job here. His whole statement is embarrassing tbh. He’s basically arguing fans don’t matter, he’s the one that brought comparisons to Liverpool - Pardew didn’t do that, so again I don’t understand why that’s a stick to beat Newcastle fans with, also the fans of Liverpool don’t do anything special it just so happens they support a well run football club. Have a go at ownerships/managers etc as they can actually impact the successes of a club, fans don’t get to do that other than creating an exciting atmosphere to play in which was Pardews point - the fans are a draw and it can create that foundation. Souness should just fuck off tbh, he clearly doesn’t have much enjoyment in life as everytime I see him he’s fucking miserable - you can even tell by the reaction of the other two sat there that he’s miserable to be around too as they had that look of fucking hell here we go again another needlessly insulting incoherent point that isn’t even anything to do with the topic. This is a bloke that thinks if a player gets their hair cut more than once a month they can’t possibly be concentrating on football, he’s tragic.

Our lot really need to pack in these needless fouls around the box, fouling the line guy up for Leicester which gifts them good opportunities from fuck all. They’ve already almost scored two from stupid fouls. Lewis for one and Willock with a couple so far.

If that’s the case I’d absolutely love us to go mad hoying in bids, and offering increased wages to loads of player in the PL knowing it’ll all get rejected and unsettle the players while we actually go after players outside of the PL.

Aye that was my takeaway from that too.

They were so close to six in a roweh as well, which of course meant they could have held up one full hand of fingers to show the wins.

Once Joelinton settles in the Yaya Toure role we will be safe.

BUJ7 to put in a box to box performance similar to Patrick Vieira as we come from behind to win. In all seriousness this game and Everton suddenly look like fixtures we can get points from based on their poor form.

From the same token we play Southampton, Watford, then Leeds in January with a potentially much improved side. Also it’s West Ham away they have to play in January which isn’t good, they play Villa at home after hopefully getting pumped 4 games in a row (they play Arsenal in December too). I’m more looking at us staying within touching distance up until the January window, I think after January we will hopefully be able to accumulate more points than those around us - my biggest worry was we’d be 15 points behind by January which would have been a massive ask but fortunately no one looks like pulling away especially with a run of fixtures like Leeds have which is actually a worse one than ours.

If these results all hold it’s been a great weekend for us. Think Leeds have a rough run of fixtures coming as well. Just checked and aye Leeds play all of the top 3 away from home this month
