The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread

Good to know - I’ve never seen Botman or Diego Carlos before so it’s good to have some reference to what they’re like. I’ve heard Ake is still of interest, so that sounds better than Diego Carlos? Similarly I’ve never seen Sangare so same boat as yourself on that one. -

They’re going to end up with 5 games in hand by January. Would be quite satisfying if we beat Everton and after Everton inevitably improve in January they smash Burnley. Maybe this is legitimate from Burnley, but the game getting called off for the pitch conditions was complete bollocks. -

From what I’ve heard (take it or leave it I’m not itk, it’s from someone who knows someone type of deal here), Sven Botman is our number 1 target, with Diego Carlos from Sevilla the second CB target. They want both, but Botman is by far their most desired target. I’ve also heard the Trippier deal is close, the Longstaff - Digne swap, and Ibrahim Sangare from PSV are other deals. In addition - there was very little appetite from the higher ups to engage in business with the lower PL sides (or PL sides at all for that matter) due to the “welcome” the consortium has received so its a we will take our money elsewhere situation. The swap I mentioned before was more a cheeky attempt as they (via the scout team) see it as mugging Everton off if we get Digne for Longstaff. Again take it or leave it all just what I’ve heard, but I’ve personally been disregarding a lot of these links to players like Tarkowski etc. -
It’s the thought that counts.

Grown men doing that on presumably their day off. “for fuck sake Colin you said you’d take lal mick to diggerland” ”I just had to mak my video with bazza where we banged that Maggie cunt to rights, al tak him to the Alsatian buggy races outside the bridges, he always loves that”

These are the same sort of accounts that were/are linking us to raiding Burnley for Tarkowski and Mee, which if you think about it for even one second makes absolutely fucking no sense. We’d need to offer an absolutely staggering amount of money, since selling their starting CB pairing would essentially resign them to relegation, for two very average (at best) CBs, or what’s more likely is we sign players from the continent. -

I always think what makes things like that worse is that he’s had every opportunity to watch that back numerous times as he was putting it together and realize how fucking bad it is and relegate it to his bin, but somehow after all his watches of it he’s went nope I’ll upload that to YouTube. -

Burnsie Agree with KD that they could perhaps be looking at keepers, think it’s fair to say we can rule Sam Johnstone out as a target now. -

I heard the deal was off as he wanted £225k a week and our side weren’t keen to disrupt the wage structure to that level across the side yet. -

Still bitter he made such a monumental tit of himself over the Emenolo thing. We’ve got years of him crying about us to look forward to. -

We’re after a Brazilian CB from Sevilla too. APPARENTLY. -
The amount of smugness in that tweet btw . Look forward to people like him whinging and crying when we are actually decent. Easy to kick a team when they’re down.

To be fair, seeing as the last two times the club has been sold it’s been once for nothing down only future parachute payments, and then again for a totally not fake sale to a bloke who might one day inherit some of daddy’s money, and another suitor was a man who lives under a bridge, I think it’s harsh of Crook Town to assume they need that £710.49 more than sunderland.

A break in the league would suit us now tbh. If it’s 3-4 weeks, we could bring in some players and bed them in a bit, additionally the melts around us that had fixtures called off will have even more of a crunch time to fit them in.
-
I agree with that. We just need to be within touching distance of the opposition and then a massive january is needed. We were always going to lose these fixtures, the manner and errors have been concerning but we were fucked against these.
-
We’re down until we show any ability tbh. No matter who we sign we’ve won one game all season, if come the end of January we’ve won another 3 or so then I’ll start believing we can stay up but this lot have spent far too long lazing about and collecting a pay check, and many were likely not good enough prior to loafing about anyway.
-
I think we’ve looked ok barring some moments of insanity. The only thing is we basically gifted them a 2-0 lead so City have just been in first gear since then, and we’ve still failed to lay a glove while simultaneously making errors at the back. This highlights how ridiculous the claims of our takeover ruining the league are, this shows how absurd the league currently is.
-
Ridiculously easy that. Murphy way too weak there, he should have been aggressive forcing his man out to touch but just let him through.
-
I’ve heard Rafa wants him, we’re trying to get Digne as part exchange. If we are able to pull that off I’ll be way less worried about other transfer decisions.
-
Our defenders really can’t be fucking chewed with this can they
-
Matt Ritchie with perhaps the most insane closing down of a player in history there. Sprints full pelt from the LB position to the edge of their area, the player then just shifts to the side leaving us wide open for the counter.
-
Good reaction save, glad our two cbs didn’t bother challenging for the ball. Why would you try and get close to their number 9?
-
No way did Joelinton just hold Mahrez off, play a one two so he could bomb down the pitch and then turn Rodri inside out there man. Who the fuck is this new player.
