  1. I still really hope to see him bankrupt one day. The blokes an absolute cunt for a multitude of reasons. It would honestly be fucking hilarious if he lost this, then they countersued and rinsed him for £300m. I’ve absolutely no doubt that what ever he’s suing them for is minor/him being a greedy bastard.
  2. He’d be a good signing for where we are tbh. He scores about 1 in 3 which is decent at shite teams, and I think his presence helps create goals as he’s a big busy bastard. My only thing is it’s absolutely not happening Burnley would want so much for him we could surely go and get someone better and younger. Obviously underwhelming compared to Vlahovic, but I think he’d help us stay up (provided we got what we needed elsewhere). Either way there’s no chance of it happening
  3. Is it a requirement that we state that information? If not I’m really fucking confused as to why we’ve come out and willingly told everyone we are COMPLETELY desperate for a striker this window. I know there was a feeling that was the case but surely we could have played it off and said we were hopeful to see him back by the end of the month. Unless there’s some requirement to disclose the extent of the injury that I’m missing.
  4. Imo we need 5 at the minimum. Trippier, Botman, and Carlos is a very good start but it doesn’t change the fact we can’t get a hold on any fucking game or pass the ball well. We desperately need a striker with Wilson out and we are screaming out for a creative CM. Obviously we need more but I think that’s the minimum now to stay up, we just create fucking nothing and end up relying on either our full backs or ASM to figure something out.
  5. A reminder of where we are really. The players linked while exciting aren’t at the club. We desperately need forwards, and CMs to go with these CB targets. For me the decision is do we just go down, or plough money in massively to stay up - signing Trippier, Botman, and Carlos won’t keep us up
  6. At least it might knock any hesitancy out the owners heads that we can rely on many of these players out there. We need WAY more than just the CBs sorted, the central midfield has absolutely nothing and we have zero options up top.
  7. Sean Longstaff is like a bloke that’s never played football in his life. On the balance of this £1m is an absolute bump. Desperately need central midfielders, the ball just goes between our defence and our front line which gives Cambridge breathing space each time they repel an attack.
  8. Our central midfield is painful to watch. Upgrading the defence is important obviously but if we don’t improve on Shelvey and Longstaff we’re in bother, they can’t even stamp their authority on this game.
  9. At first I felt sorry for them, but I started seeing a ton of the type of comments where they slate us for disliking him as he sorted us financially etc. I don’t particularly wish him on them but if that’s how they feel they’re welcome to him. While the debt won’t be as pressing and scary as it is for them now anything he has to clean up doesn’t go away and they should know that. Fucking 14 years of bleeding our club yet that initial debt he ‘cleared’ was still owed to him. He’s a fucking parasite and I’m beyond relieved he’s gone from our club. I agree it would mean they avoid further punishment, which might be good but it fucking throttles any hope of them doing anything as a football club for as long as he owns them. While they’ll make the argument that they’re shit now and have been shit for a long time, I agree again but the problem comes 7 years down the line if they find themselves in the PL dreaming of kicking on and nope the only reason your club now exists is to finish 17th, forget about hoping or dreaming or enjoying football. Even when your club is crap there’s hope and trying but not with Ashley as owner and that’s the difference imo. Aye there’s Derby fans that will read this and laugh and think it’s all nice problems to have compared to where they are right now but tbh unless their club legitimately ceases to exist I think basically any other option is better than him being owner.
  10. Got a feeling our lot will be getting fairly irritated now.
  11. I hope they do bid and he picks us over them, then in his presser he talks about what an amazing, mahoosive club we are and even though other offers were higher he sees a project to go to the top here. Then he specifically says he is buzzing to live in Newcastle, he thinks Birmingham is what Trippier told him “a total shithole”, then he does the People’s elbow on Edwards by saying he alone cost £50m.
  12. That Trippier interview is class. He comes across well and you can tell he’s a leader. It’s also brilliant that he kept saying “I wanted to move back to the North”, absolutely decimates that wanker Agbonlahor with his “why would anyone go to Newcastle” spiel.
  13. Tough one for me this. Do we put out a strong side since we haven’t played in a while, or do we focus on the Watford match and put out the youth?
  14. So Villa have followed us into interest in Coutinho, Digne, and now Botman, not sure this tactic is going to be feasible for long. Botman only has interest in us as he views us as the next Man City/PSG level project, if it was just money he’d not be interested - which is what Villa would basically offer as tbh their “project” isn’t going far especially with a manager that’s practically begging to manage another club. If they want to pay out the alleged £275k a week in wages to Coutinho and Digne to consolidate their mid table finish more power to them. I look forward to leapfrogging them next season if we stay up this year.
  15. He’s not been much use since 2018. He could of course be class but I don’t get the fanfare as if he’s definitely going to be brilliant - contrast this to the coverage of Trippier starting this season with a drop in form (seemingly not alone at Athleti this season) after having perhaps his best ever season prior to that. I agree with Wykiki that if we had signed Coutinho it would have been an avalanche of negative comments. Of course we do desperately need someone in that creative midfield role….
  16. The Knight Ryder putting in the hard yards to give us the news everyone was on the edge of their seat waiting for.
  17. Ralf Rangnick was moaning about it as well apparently (not necessarily about us), has that bloke done anything since arriving besides fucking whinging? Starting to feel relieved we didn’t get the moaning bastard. First he wants the League Cup to be binned and now this.
  18. The whole “bigger club” shite makes me laugh. Villa have still won objectively fuck all, the same that we have. Sure both clubs have won cups, them more recent, but still come on man it’s completely meaningless and irrelevant. It’s like Manchester United fans screaming at Man City fans that they’re bigger, meanwhile Man City fans are currently watching some of the best football in the world and winning cups while Manchester United are pissing and moaning about how shite they are. They can enjoy being a bigger club than us if they want. We will just crack on with being the biggest spenders over the next few years as we rocket past them up the league eh? Additionally both clubs are miles bigger than Sunderland in basically every metric if the mackems want to start this, they’ve been a third division side for going on half a decade meanwhile two of Europe’s premier up and coming talents are allegedly desperate to join Newcastle.
  19. Btw, why is the picture of Trippier our media team keep using the one of him clearly meaning to point to the badge but pointing to his shoulder? why use that one?
  20. It’s weird how wrong Luke Edwards was that we’d only have £50m to spend this window isn’t it? It’s almost like he knows absolutely fucking nowt.
  21. Add Denis Zakaria to what I said above btw. The issue is huge agent/signing fees on this one.
