It is eh, maybe I should show more respect since he’s absolutely destroying Sunderland.
-
That’s what it looks like to me anyway. It’s just weird the way he’s been shifting %’s of ownership about but I’m fairly sure he maintains majority ownership, just looked it up and BBC say Donaldson has minority ownership but there’s no percentages of ownership I can see so he could still own more than this kid with the amount of %’s that have been handed out. The whole situation is weird, and unclear which kind of suits Donaldson.

As ewerk said they don’t have anything to spend. This “billionaire” owner just isn’t actually a billionaire, it’s his possible inheritance which as MF mentioned is currently his mother’s money. I mean imo he’s also not their actual owner, it’s still Donaldson tbh who himself has a net worth similar (or possibly less) to Jonjo Shelvey. Donaldson is exactly what basically everyone on here said, he’s an opportunist and a carpet bagger, he got the club for nothing (just had to repay the parachute payments) and he’s sold percentages off to these two dozy trust fund kids that are happy for a day out tbh, so he’s probably doing really well out of his bleeding of the club and he’s still there despite pushing this kid front and centre. They deserve him mind, how much did they go out their way to talk about how fucking amazing he was despite it being pretty obvious what he was? I will always remember how buzzing they were to have that snake Methven involved . “A PR man is exactly what we need” and all that guff, then they began to hate him when he did exactly what PR men do . Couple that with Rentons point about the fans being fucking ridiculous, they’ve been in that league for 4 seasons now why do they have this delusion that they should easily get one of the automatic slots? The manager had them third and they were demanding him out for fuck sake , they highlight a rough spell but he still had them in the playoff spots. At least they have their faux morals to fall back on eh. They said it themselves they’d rather have their owners than ours, so crack on.

Btw I know he was only on for about 5 minutes but Bruno looks exciting. Could have even ended with an assist if ASM’s late chance went in (I know it was great play by ASM who had a lot to do but the slide pass from Bruno was the type of vision in CM we’ve lacked). Immediately got stuck in to that midfield battle as well, which the Everton lot were shirking.
-
There was a point in the second half where the Everton players clearly got frustrated and started making some snidey tackles, think it started when that drip Gordon went for Trippier. Trippier then wound the little urchin up and he clattered ASM, what followed that was about 5 crunching, clear the player out type tackles from our lot and the Everton players wanted absolutely no fucking part of it . Absolutely brilliant stuff to see from a side that’s looked devoid of any interest to one that completely dominates the physical side of a match like that.

Absurd mackem and all round bore Glendenning already had his completely fucking wank argument decimated. Looking through his replies really shows mackems can’t talk objectively about Newcastle, he makes absolutely no relevant points and is basically reduced to screaming that Watford were above us and therefore better than us.

The manager they were hounding out while he had them third? That manager? Who’d have thought their pretend owners wouldn’t have a fucking clue what they were doing so would just try to placate the fan base. If only it was absolutely obvious to anyone that looked at the situation for a minute eh . They will of course be absolutely blind to the fact they as fans are, and have been throughout this decline, part of the problem. I really like the idea of them getting wound up about their result being called out, they know it always is if they’re playing on the same day right? It’s just an added laugh after we smashed 3 past their beleaguered scouse counterparts.
-
The same Lescott that was confident Everton would hammer us iirc. That Everton side are absolutely painful btw. That CM of theirs who is one of the most Scottish looking people I’ve ever seen in my life, Gordon I think? (Just looked him up and apparently he’s a scouser )Wow he was fucking shite, spent half his time trying to injure everyone then when Trippier had a go at him about it he legged it behind his own players. Look forward to playing them again
-
Everton not playing either of the helmets that signed for them late. My issue with not playing Bruno is we created very little against Leeds. Hopefully it works out, if Willock and Shelvey decide to play like they did against Leeds we should have enough to get a result against this team of mackem losers.

I’m not even touching how fucking deluded that bloke is for thinking there is any fucking hope of them being in Europe in 3 years time, but Neil Lennon being the one to do it? He did a tremendous job at Bolton, so why not.

New fave already.

I’ll never forget seeing Allardyce running down the stairs to get to the dug out getting absolute pelters from the crowd, as he sat in that seat in the stands with his TVs. Think we were 0-3 down by that point.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
Howay replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, agree with ewerk. I think it is massively skewed by the spend since Bruce come in. I think Bruce spent over 100m, with very little going the other way, and then obviously we went mad this window. So that’s probably 200m+ of the 648m in the last couple of years. -
Aye, we are on about playing fucking Longstaff over him man. I get the point but at the same time we don’t have the luxury of waiting, this next run of 5 or so games are some of our best opportunities to get points. I also disagree with the Saul mention, the jump from Spain to the PL is massive, the styles of play are completely different, meanwhile Ligue 1 plays a similar way/pace to the PL the same that the Bundesliga does. We have to take risks here, he also doesn’t come across at all as a lad who will have his confidence knocked if he was to have a poor debut tbh. He clearly backs himself massively, not just based on him making the move but also things he’s said in the past. He doesn’t need wrapped in cotton wool.
-
Aye they have to fucking cool it with their high and mighty shite, that was completely ended when the chant of “he shags who he wants, Adam Johnson he shags who he wants” was sung at the stadium of plight when they subbed on a bloke facing charges of having a relationship with a 15 year old. But sure, they can feel free to make up a link that we are appointing a bloke who got sacked for being a sex pest and get annoyed about it/pretend they have the high ground despite it clearly not being a true link.

Other Games 21/22: Talk about Actual Football
Howay replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
he’s a right cock aye. That documentary they did while he was Liverpool manager is fucking brilliant purely because he comes off so badly. Had a massive mural or painting of his own face directly across from his front door iirc. -
It is hilarious that when our fan base decided to start doing the flag thing at games, their fan base suddenly started to try and do it. Not saying our lot created doing flags at games but fucking hell the old ‘plastic Geordies’ moniker really was spot on about them.

He needs to learn but I can’t help but feel his ego is standing in the way. The Derby job was a good one for him to learn in, the way they were very attacking but lacking defensively is likely what cost them hopes of promotion, the following season his loan stars went back to their parent clubs and he might have been forced to be a little more pragmatic and learn that side of the game but he fucked off. I think he clearly wasn’t ready for the Chelsea job, I get why he took it and honestly he likely won’t ever be the caliber of manager that normally manages those sides anyway. It would seem like from then he’s been applying solely to PL roles, like Palace, us, and now Everton. Maybe it’ll click for him, but as others have pointed out his Chelsea side was leaky defensively despite the players he had and now he has worse defenders, I guess we will see if he’s learnt. I’m not massively concerned at them giving Brentford a kicking, Brentford have been rodded like that in the 4 games leading up to that one and have been dire for 3 months or so now.

The Entirely Unreasonable Transfer Deadline Day Thread
Howay replied to Andrew's topic in Newcastle Forum
The chat on our side was that we had a bid accepted, the plane was there and ready to pick him up, but then the Reims DoF basically said “I know you have loads of money so give us another £10m“, our lot told them to swivel and the deal collapsed. Maybe his agent is saving face by acting big time (whether what I said is true or not that statement is frankly fucking absurd for a 19 year old after 18 games ). I’m not entirely sure whose side is accurate but tbh fuck this arrogant agent I’m saying our side is spot on, Hugo Smallplums club overvalued him. We’re not going to pay more than their entire club is worth ffs. If what I’ve heard is true I’m desperate for us to stay up . Paqueta, Raphina, Botman are the three I’ve heard. Carlos no longer of interest. Gayle and Clark refused loans and Howe is fuming with both.
