  1. Aye you know a pundit clearly doesn’t watch us when they say something along the lines of “Lascelles is their best defender” or “he’s a vital player for them”.
  2. It’s impressive tbf. His commitment to being wrong on every single fucking point is admirable. Inferring Sean Dyche and Steve Bruce could be top 6 managers? Wrong, there’s a reason they’ve never had that opportunity. Supporters on his back? Wrong, he wasn’t met with horrible backlash from the fans, just apathy and resignation that we had to get behind him as it was what it was, he got his chance and he failed miserably then got out of any fan dissent by virtue of playing in an empty stadium. The players praising him? Find what Jack Grealish has said about him in the past, or just look at the way our current lot tip toe around the fact Bruce’s “training” was a total fucking joke. Another bit of bullshit that the atmosphere was bad, again as ewerk pointed out the bloke was doing a shocking job before the fans were back. To be honest when the fans did get back he actually got backing that he absolutely did not deserve, I remember annoyance from many after hearing “Brucey give us a wave” chants so aye total bullshit. I won’t accept “it was going to be difficult because Ashley wasn’t liked” he knew the job he was taking he’s a grown man with 20 years in management you can’t keep throwing that in as an excuse if he chose to take the role, he did it purely for money and another crack at a PL job both of which wholly undeserved. How many promotions has he won? 4 or 5 in a 20+ year career? It’s not impressive, especially given basically all of the sides he led to promotion were either big sides with money or had recently dropped out the PL anyway. There’s no Howe type building a club through the leagues story here. One of his promotions with Birmingham he had the largest transfer budget in the division by a long way. He’s not a good manager and never has been. You also can’t just brush off the terrible job he’s doing at West Brom - that’s an absurd thing to do he’s literally come in and destroyed their play off hopes. His record speaks for itself? It does aye but it’s not speaking the way you’re framing it, one of the worst managers of all time in the PL. Spent the most in Championship history on a recently relegated side and led them to a mid table finish. Aye good manager, sure. Also the number of good jobs he had isn’t a support of him, the fact he’s had so many shows he’s crap and is inexplicable at the same time I still don’t understand why WBA appointed him. There’s some weird bit where it seems like he’s saying Sam Allardyces teams play good football and Bruce is trying to also have the team play good football? That’s insane, absolutely fucking insane. The next bit basically implies WBA have one of the best squads in the division, the fact they’re plummeting like a stone with this squad after hiring Bruce is contradicting his points that Bruce is a good manager. Bruce is a winner? As a player yes, but as a manager absolutely not, he’s a serial loser, at this point he comes in and makes teams instantly worse and less effective so again it’s nonsense to claim he’s a winner. I’m also tired of seeing Bruce’s name put in with Howe and Dyche type managers. The latter two have worked hard to carve out reputations and have done things Bruce has never come close to doing ever in management, it’s disrespectful putting him with managers of that level. He’s basically coasted through a 20+ year management career getting jobs off the back of his playing career or from mates. TLDR: suck my plums Wilder you mentalist.
  3. There’s trying to be complimentary about someone and then there’s that tbh. It’s just total fucking nonsense. It’s actually staggering that basically every single thing he’s said there is wrong. I get they want to defend their mate but they could at least stop spouting that the crowd made it really tough for him, is it too much to ask that they acknowledge the bloke managed in an empty stadium for a large chunk of his time? It’s bad enough saying he has a good record when his record is literally among the worst in PL history, but fucking hell man you’re leathering fans who legitimately couldn’t be at the stadium. Add Wilder to the list the silly cunt.
  4. Fucking hell man. It is a total fucking shithole like. I think I’ve told it before on here but growing up I’d sometimes work a bit for my dad as a laborer on the sites/odd jobs places. Once we went to this council estate in Sunderland for some contract to install electric fireplaces iirc. This one bloke told us this story about how he took a load of drugs and went for a walk along a beach (as you do, think it was Seaham he said), he said this big monster started following him and he told himself it was just the drugs, eventually he got a bit paranoid about it and started legging it but the monster caught him and started biting at his legs. Turned out the daft fucker was getting attacked by a stray dog on the beach while off his nut . That whole estate was brutal tbh. Just never ending bother with tools getting nicked, people refusing to let us in as they were pretty much dealing drugs out the back and didn’t want to get reported (but we needed to sign off that we’d installed these daft fire places). Shit hole.
  5. That’s staggering, why on earth would you make a story like that up? He also should have went with the masturbating Cheeto which is the first listed, unless there’s some symbolism mackems have with lions mouths that I’m missing? Fucking hell what a bunch.
  6. Fucking hell man. He should maybe knock that good luck charm on the head, doesn’t seem like it has been working since he started doing it. Had a whip around for a pack of crisps as well man, fucking mackems.
  7. He’s one of the ones leading their new angle of “Staveley had to loan the money for her share so it’s all going to come crashing down” completely ignoring she owns 10% even if she defaulted what do they think would happen?
  8. I’m 100% certain if the roles were reversed that bloke would have had Saudi flags on all his social media.
  9. He was too busy wanking onto a biscuit with his mates, or whatever else the rugby lot do.
  10. Looking back at the last page btw, The Fish quoted an article which said: ‘Newcastle United director of football, Joe Kinnear, said: "This is a hugely exciting development for Newcastle United. We have one of football's great stadiums and we are delighted to now be announcing plans for a training complex which will rival any in Europe.‘ How fucking grim, what’s worse is then years later they stopped even bothering to make it seem like they’d improve anything with Charnley even saying something like “no player has turned us down due to the training facilities”. Brilliant that we are past the Ashley era. Did any of that training facility build actually happen btw? I assume not since our training facility is known to be a complete hovel. Add it to the list of utter bollocks peddled by Ashley and his lackeys.
  11. Aye that’s fair. Willock definitely is in that category for me, he’s looking like he might actually have a future at Newcastle. I can honestly also see Shelvey staying unless a bid comes in, as it’d be too much bringing in players for the first 11 and subs bench. He’s a fair weather player imo, he tends to play well when the team is playing well and isn’t one to take games by the neck and drive the team on which for a bloke that clearly has talent is immensely frustrating. Your first paragraph is a great summary of the situation.
  12. Completely agree, I’m happy we have this current situation where we don’t have to just throw the bloke in and hope it clicks. I just am really looking forward to seeing Shelvey gone. Honestly wish this season would just fucking end . It’s not just Shelvey mind, I’m really looking forward to a summer clear out.
  13. Personally I’m looking forward to him replacing Shelvey. Not that I wish for it but the moment Shelvey has a poor game I’d yank the bloke from the first 11. He’s been a lazy fucking bastard for 7 year or whatever it is he’s been at us, and has just decided to pull his socks up a bit once real competition comes in. I can’t wait until we see the back of him. I honestly don’t think Shelvey has even been as deserving of plaudits like the other two (one game aside where I’ll admit he played really well), he’s been fine and not put a foot wrong but he also hasn’t been doing anything that Bruno couldn’t do (unless Bruno is wank like Longstaff). I completely understand why Howe keeps the line up the same, it makes sense with the way the team is playing at the moment. There is always the chance that it upsets the balance or something, I don’t think it will as Bruno will likely be better at every part of the game than Shelvey is, but there is a chance I suppose. Btw, I know he’s only getting tiny cameos at the moment but the first pass Bruno made after coming on was class. He just rolled his marker and flicked the ball right through the West Ham defence for Murphy to run onto. It might be a little bit before we see him play a good amount but he looks like a real talent.
  14. Brentford are in fucking real trouble mind. Just looked there and I think it’s 8 points from their last 13 games, with the two wins being Villa and Watford at home.
  15. Agreed, also agree with your earlier point that as fans of the club we can miss the bigger picture. If positions between us and Burnley were reversed most fans would be 100% convinced we were buried, they’re playing crap and their two games in hand are Spurs and Leicester and they’d need to win both, meanwhile we have points on the board, are picking up points every week and have looked the better side in our games for about 5 straight games now. The other thing is their “winnable” fixtures are against sides that are also not clear of it. Imo we will finish above Everton (who have a shit manager and look woeful), Brentford, and Leeds, in addition to the current bottom three. I get fears that Watford are only 4 points behind, but 4 points is almost a quarter of all the points they’ve picked up so far, similar with Burnleys 5 points. We also play a lot of the sides who were looking like difficult fixtures in the past but are in rotten form (Palace and Brighton etc). Obviously there’s a chance we go down but the way we are playing, and the way everyone else in the bottom half is playing, I just don’t see it anymore.
  16. Football writer that just sacked off watching the football.
  17. Remember when they thought Michael Dell was forming a consortium to buy them. They’ve got so low that a bloke that rummages through bins fancies himself as their next owner.
  18. Aye it was an equalizer tbh, Bowen had clattered someone prior to it iirc. Our team definitely have an edge now, if a player clatters one of ours there’s generally a response and they very clearly look to make every 50/50 ball a fight. The Everton game was a massive sign of it for me, our lot completely won the physical side of the game and Evertons players wanted absolutely no part of it.
  19. Was it Wee Phillie that was the one who trespassed and then yelled “Defoe! It’s Jermaine Defoe” at a bloke that’s only similarity to Defoe was that he is black.
  20. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc-sportswashing-2022-part-3.1570531/ This thread is hilarious. From not being impressed by the Trippier signing (finished apparently), to Dan Burn being shit. The weirdest thing seems to be their new obsession with Staveley, I think they have this idea that she has to keep investing her % share of future outgoings despite it already clearly not being the case. In fact one of them responded to posts about £100m+ spending with “ keep it up Amanda but you had to borrow £10m from Ashley to buy her share” doesn’t that disprove his hope that she has any responsibility funding wise? They’re a funny bunch like, really focusing on a minority owner of our club as if she will be an issue for us going forward - I would worry about your own ownership split lads. They genuinely can’t see how fucking absurd they’re being? She owns a token % of the club that was basically her payment for brokering the deal (as she will likely be able to sell it for a gain at some point). But aye totally comparable to a bloke who bought the entire club with the clubs own parachute payments and has since proceeded to asset strip and sell minority stakes off for his own benefit .
  21. The ones defending him are literally saying “we could have managers the level of Allardyce and Keane in the dug out, the results would be the same” they’re right, but not for the reason they think.
