  1. I always used to laugh at them wearing them to the metro centre. Full families dressed in their Tombola finest “mak shooaah yi got the wun wiff catts on the back Callum, the mags will be fewmin when tha see wu pocketing things in boots wearin that”.
  2. While it is clearly made up since it didn’t take place in Benidorm, the fact they love stories like that then go on about being classy is fucking hilarious. “Ah wuz on me hols and just assaulted this bloke cos eee wuz wearin a top tha looked like a maggie wun, turns out 100 Lazio fans saw iz do it and they’re all MLF and bought iz 10 pints, said they fuckin hate Newcastle as well”. Imagine being a grown man and thinking smacking another bloke with a plastic sword then screaming six in a rooaahhh at him is a mint story.
  3. Remember when Bruce went on a holiday during the first international break, about a month into the season despite having basically the entire squad available for training, and the media actually defended him .
  4. I couldn’t not search for that thread after reading that. It’s just as bewildering as the first time I saw it. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nice-story-from-yesterday.1557291/ Decided to read further this time, they’re all sharing their class stories.
  5. Apparently Howe gave them a bit of a bollocking after the game, what a difference it makes when it’s not enough to win a game.
  6. Make it nice and melty plus save 20p
  7. “Here marras this proves William is the real deal, he’s a MLF and obviously getting heavy hitters like Google to join his consortium, I for one will be having a monster portion of cheesy chips and Tesco’s finest special brew (the one I’ve kept under my sofa for three year to let it age) to celebrate”
  8. Mental run, even when having a fairly poor game we pulled off the win. This turnaround has been absurd, I give Howe all the credit in the world as the change in these players has been spectacular. We’ve went from a team who has no wins in something like 12 games and 1 at Xmas to being in a position where if we win Thursday we will be 4 points and a game in hand from 9th
  9. Through his original business of selling rubber ducks?
  10. The people gushing on the actual post by Wraith btw. Loads leaping to his defence any time people have a go about him ripping teenage lads off by saying “it’s for charity”, just donate the fucking money then, why applaud that oxygen thief for an attention grabbing stunt? Twitter is brutal like, the “personalities” on it especially. Wraith, that So Cal Geordie attention seeker, among others are particularly annoying. There’s some good ones too mind, even Sav Mondo is good value sometimes simply for all the entertainment value reading the desperate bastards that fawn over any of her thirst trap posts.
  11. Spot on. They question why any Newcastle fan would take pleasure in Bruce further proving how shit he is and then go on to say “Newcastle fans treat him harshly” “he had a similar record to Benitez who is lauded as some type of God up there” (after Ambrose literally just explained the outside factors for his 13th place finish, and again what’s with their weird hatred of Benitez in their defence of Bruce? Rafa is well liked but he won’t go down as some club legend by any means), before then blaming West Brom fans by saying “the decline had already started before he got there” and “West Brom fans are always quick to turn on their manager”, those quotes are your fucking answer lads it’s years of frustration from being talked about like we’re a bunch of fucking maniacs who cannot see what is an absolutely fantastic manager for some bizarre reason. It’s fucking vindication, but still in the face of a fucking 0% win record in nearly an ENTIRE calendar year they make excuse after excuse. It honestly must feel like this if you were a character in Inception the feeling that you’ve completely lost the fucking plot as you’re stood going “I mean he’s very clearly absolutely terrible right?” And everyone in the media goes “you’re a nasty piece of work he’s an excellent manager, doing an amazing job, and is an absolutely amazing human being”. I also cannot accept the “he’s a nice guy” angle, there’s no evidence I can see at all to support that. Yes he has mates in the game and he is probably nice to them, but this is a man who was needlessly abusive to reporters going so far as to essentially try and have Hope lose his job, was disrespectful and insulting towards Howe for no reason whatsoever, and is known to be a slum landlord. Sorry like the bloke is a fucking cunt.
  12. I suppose given her background and who she is involved with that’s about all she can say to avoid making it a big stink, and fall into possible lawsuits/barrage of questions. Of course it could also be her actual personal opinion, neither reality would surprise me. Unfortunately we are owned by cunts, I honestly have a hard time with happy clapper trust fund boy Reuben let alone the fucking Saudis , but as I’ve said in the past it’s out of my hands, I turn a blind eye to deplorable things elsewhere in my life like where my phone comes from, where the energy that powers everything I consume comes from, so I suppose adding the source of my football entertainment to that list is just a natural progression. Totally understand there are others that may draw the line here and walk away, it’s just how I’m personally squaring the circle. The FA, PL, UEFA, FIFA, and every other footballing body would crawl through miles of glass to get access to all this blood money, so unfortunately nothing is ever changing no matter how many articles people write about this being some turning point. The same Chelsea fans who were berating our takeover were saying they hope the PiF bin us off to buy Chelsea, the same way Inter Milan fans keep fabricating stories of the PiF taking them over, so I guess if it wasn’t us it would be happening elsewhere so in that sense it might as well be us. I’m still fairly sure Abramovic putting Chelsea up for sale is all a show anyway, it might work unless Putin follows his invasion of Ukraine up with steaming head first into Moldova “to protect the rights of separatists in Transnistria” or whatever total fucking bollocks he comes out with.

Yeah in that case perhaps not. Maybe this ties in with it being a bit of a show from Abramovic? Offer the club to a bunch of billionaires who might publicly state they’ve been offered the club to legitimize that it’s really for sale. I am just not sure why anyone would buy for the price that’s doing the rounds, which is why I question Abramovic’s level of intent. Obviously football clubs don’t make the money for them to be worth that, so you’re left with the ‘sports washing’ types, but is it even great for them? I would assume taking a club and completely rebuilding/recreating it as a success e.g. PSG/Manchester City would be more in line with their aims. I guess that would leave the extremely wealthy that want a play thing? But that’s an insanely limited group as even for people like Wyss it’s a huge part of their net worth. Maybe a consortium could pay that, but then you’re back to why would they since it’s very unlikely you gain financially from it and don’t have the prestige that a sole owner does. It’s a fucking weird situation.
  14. He’s one of them where I sometimes assume he’s on the wind up, but his takes are just so ridiculous that they couldn’t really wind anyone up so the logical conclusion is he’s just thick. Maybe he legitimately thinks that by moving in any way, despite putting no pressure on the damaged foot, that Trippier is impeding recovery? Not like football clubs have team doctors and physios, or people with basic fucking common sense, that know Tripper traveling to a game doesn’t harm his recovery in any way. No wonder he was such a shite player if his idea of recovery was to just sit in front of the Telly.

One of the people being linked is Hansjorg Wyss, who is 86 and apparently worth $5.6Bn so it would be somewhere around half his net worth. I assume the press are just googling billionaires if that’s the links they’re coming up with?

For a price point that high, there’s only one man for the job imo. It’s a man with a track record of putting together loads of unnamed consortiums, which have resulted in MULTIPLE fake bids.

Isn’t he asking for £3B? It honestly seems like just a gesture to take the heat off and make it look like he’s trying to sell to ward off any asset stripping situation. Maybe he thinks alongside the public statement where he has distanced himself from running the business, he thinks if he’s showing he is trying to sell it the UK Govt might be okay leaving it with that.
  18. Only they could possibly get excited about that. Trust fund kid attends event ffs, reading into it like “he’s getting our name out there mixing with big teams and talking us up” - what the fuck does that even mean? What would talking them up even do? Do they think that’s what got Manchester City to where they are now, just randomly have their owners hang about places other owners would be to “talk them up”? Staggering stupidity. They just have to accept reality, they’re just a no mark lower league side. No one gives a fuck about them besides Newcastle fans having a laugh about them. The highlight of their recent footballing history is rotting out the bottom of the top division, but aye massive club. Will the effects of mammys boy talking them up help next season? Or should we wait a while?
  19. I hope they get to enjoy him for a while longer then. They don’t get off the hook after 6 games or whatever it is, being on the side of “he’s treat harshly” after we had him for 2.5 YEARS! Hope he’s there for ages, Brummy cunts.
  20. What a fucking loser he is. Why the fuck do clubs keep employing the lazy bastard?
  21. Of course there’s one that’s convinced he remembers it happening to someone off SMB by a Newcastle fan 🙄. Fair play to most of them for saying it’s lifting craic, have to be an absolute cunt to do something like that tbh.

    Eddie Howe

The defensive stats are absolutely staggering tbh, which is insanely encouraging given that was Howes area of weakness in his last job. He is clearly constantly improving and is hungry. Of course many will laugh at Staveley’s “we want him to be our Sir Alex Ferguson” comment but he’s basically the same age Ferguson was when he took over Manchester United, I’m obviously not saying he is going to be that level of manager but it shows how young he is and how much time he has to improve and grow as a coach. The people on the outside can scream all they want that it’s purely down to money, the same way they’re all still laughing that we rate Joelinton and he’s playing CM, in time they’ll learn how wrong they are. The same people were laughing at us signing Burn and Targett a few weeks back as well.
  23. It is mental mind, he’s such a presence in central midfield you can see many opposition players just want no part of it. He’s been integral to this turnaround, and honestly we can’t heap enough praise on the bloke. From the position of being a laughing stock, he put his head down and just worked hard and now with this change in position it’s all clicking into place. If he can improve his range of passing, and start to improve his composure in the opposition area (not just shooting btw at times his head does seem to go in the area) he will be a complete midfielder. It’s just mad to be at the point where I wouldn’t bring in a Bissouma type, as I genuinely don’t think it improves on Joelinton . As I note above the manner of his hard working turnaround means it’s impossible not to be fucking buzzing for the bloke, the new ownership puts us in this weird new territory where we can just sit back and enjoy the growth in the player without fearing a “Joelinton is linked with a move to … this summer”. I can honestly see him getting a Brazil cap soon they play Fred regularly and he’s honestly not fit to lace Joelintons boots.
  24. In a game we had 63% possession and 11 shots on target to their 1, but aye Paul who knows eh. The next few years of watching Merson twist and bitch is going to be fucking hilarious.
