  1. I’ve got nowt, sorry to disappoint but this lot are doing it all themselves now. Btw, reading through the comments to the “one last dance” post Tom linked is fucking tremendous.
  2. Maybe he is, either way he’s a sanctimonious little prick.
  3. Aye Europa League final in Azerbaijan, he couldn’t be bothered with our takeover and hadn’t heard about it so took the angle that it was all bollocks and stuck with that. But aye he’s definitely in the know
  4. Aye, he’s currently arguing that if people read what he said they’d stop bringing up the £50m to spend shite he wrote about as he’d updated it and was more accurate, when did he update it? January 4th yes, after we’d been in for Trippier for what at the time was thought £35m, we were in for Botman, enquiring about strikers etc, but sure Luke you called it .
  5. Same bloke that’s never stopped whinging about our takeover and hassling Eddie Howe about who he works for btw.
  6. His next article is going to be “how Henry Mauriss would have DEFINITELY spent more than the Saudis”
  7. If anyone actually thought to listen to this gimp Edwards, here’s his tweet supporting his shite article which gives good insight into why he wrote it: His comments in the replies are basically the same old “the squad is bloated so they need to raise money through player sales” he said the same in January btw before we simply unregistered shite like Clark and Hendrick. Having crap players on the books won’t fucking hold back their plans . Not saying they will spend more, but there’s no evidence to support his bullshit. In addition to what we got they wanted Botman and Carlos (it wasn’t a one or the other thing), Etikite, Lingard, and bid money for other left backs - Edwards is a clueless fuckwit and rather than actually work to be good at his job he has decided to just be a wum. I’m not bothered what we spend tbh, I trust the new owners to buy well now but I do know I don’t trust a word mr nee friends writes.
  8. Shame for the lad, but btw that tweet shows exactly why the whole “United” shit is mental especially when talking in the context of two teams called United .
  9. Now Toonotl says it I can remember all the charvas saying “here man if ya divvint shut up I’m going to come owa there and spin on your nob”
  10. You might be onto something, Billy nee cash has his left hand positioned like he’s demanding food.
  11. Aye it’s absolutely textbook behavior you’d expect from someone that has absolutely zero training.
  12. I just don’t get how it works, I also won’t click on anything by that prick Panja so will have to wait for a proper journalist to go through it. Is it simply a year to year thing in that you spend it or lose it? Or can you build up a reserve over time? If it’s the former then it’s even more evidence that none of this charade is to help keep clubs solvent, as that just encourages constant large spending. I also really don’t understand how they’re going to grade who can get what sponsorship. It might seem obvious to say well the sponsors of Man City will clearly pay more as there’s more exposure, but who is to say there’s not company’s out there that would think sponsoring Man City in some way has them lost among a flood of other sponsors whereas sponsoring another side still gives them great exposure and for big money they’d be front and center for that side. It’s just too subjective, so again it would just be a heap of bollocks intended to suit this self appointed “big 6” that want to stay there with no competition.
  13. No one knows tbh, they’re not telling journalists that type of thing what on earth would be the point? Edwards is also an arrogant, clueless prick. If we spent that then that’s what we spend anyway, provided it’s spent well it’s a lot of investment still. I will say, from what I’ve heard with regard to targets there’s no chance it’s true. The message was and is we will spend what we need, there’s not some figure people are being told. Like I say take it or leave it, the bloke I know isn’t even told these things never mind fucking Luke Edwards . The £50m thing was Edwards too btw, and he more doggedly stuck to it and used it to have a pop at Newcastle fans. I highly doubt the £50m was ever the plan, and again if it was it’s not being divulged to journalists unless it’s simply a tactic to deflate expectations on what we will spend in the market.
  14. Really goes along with his wannabe hard man image, being a grass. Btw this is what he posted following that one: The lad running the parody account must have a hard time. Wonder if we will see Mike Dean report that post for bullying.
  15. Not meaning you were btw but it’s just the argument for keeping those as the three is really implying he’s partially an issue, since he’s clearly our best CM the only reason to keep him out would be that he’s not fitting in. I think it’s just putting too much weight on how good they were, only 2 of those wins (Brighton and Brentford) came without Trippier, which is worth noting as well. I just personally don’t see the evidence that the combination of Willock, Shelvey, and Joe is better, I understood keeping him out for that run but he’s more than earned his place now.
  16. We can’t drop him for sure, put him alongside Bruno for the Chelsea game instead of Longstaff and our chances of getting something from that increase massively.
  17. Again though saying that implies he was the issue. If we’d have swapped him for Shelvey or Willock in other games we’ve no idea if the result would have been the same, better, or worse. The Chelsea game he was alongside Sean Longstaff ffs and we still were great, use the Everton game as an example, we did enough to win that game, more than other games we’ve won in recent times and Bruno was the best player on the pitch. We had 3 good goal scoring chances, so I just think it’s harsh on Bruno by saying the balance is better because we won games he didn’t feature in - we had 62% possession away from home against Everton, we did so in a game that we lacked Murphy (who has been miles better than Almiron). We also beat Southampton away with him starting. I think him and Joelinton have to start, the other two we pick depending on the fixture.
  18. He’s been basically the best player on the pitch in both games imo, I think not playing him because we lost those two and we won games with the other three is attributing the issue to him. If Wood could have finished his chances, or if the Begovic hadn’t pulled off two good saves for the two shots from Bruno we’d have won that game imo (look at how Evertons heads dropped v Palace and we were far more dominant when those chances were saved).
  19. I think since Howe has come in we’ve lost 1 game at home (Man City), we have 3 home games coming up in a row after Spurs. I can’t see us not getting a win against at least one side in that stretch, we also play Norwich and Burnley, so out of those 5 games I’d say at absolute worst given how we play and how little we concede (1 goal is the max we’ve conceded in a game in 2022 iirc) we’d win 2 of those which gives us 37 points even if we lost the other 7. I cannot see 4 of the teams above us reaching that tally. Of course it’s not mathematically impossible but it’s highly fucking unlikely. Worth noting too, people are writing off any hope of points against Liverpool but their run up to that game is fucking brutal and we are stubborn as fuck and great at home, I don’t think it’s mental to think we could even get a draw in that one.
  20. He’s a character like. What a player he looks btw, I think when we have players in front of him with real quality his passes will be devastating. I think he’s pass completion was in the 90’s or high 80’s against Everton and he’s always looking to make a forward pass, so it’s not like that rate comes from 100’s of 3 yard backwards passes (like Leon Brittain).
  21. Oh that game was the moral nadir of the sport, not things like awarding a World Cup to Qatar who the proceeded to build all the stadiums using basically slaves in appalling conditions? Or countless other examples. Alex is spot on btw, they can scream hypocrisy about the Saudi relationship v Russian one, it is to a degree of course but that’s how foreign policy works. Countries align with certain other countries and have rivalries (for want of a better word) with others that’s ambitions encroach on theirs. Putin regularly calls out things the West does but is more than fine with the shit places like China and India do, hypocritical? Yes, but things just work like that and there won’t just suddenly be some moralistic impartiality taken for the sake of football. Do they not stop to think of the fucking embarrassment and insult SA would take to effectively being told by a bureaucratic body in the UK that they’re scum and their money is no good, while at the same time the UK government is openly encouraging them to do the exact thing they’re trying to do? Of course people can say they don’t give a fuck but the UK government, and general UK foreign policy would. They’ll sit on this moral high horse until we are up there with Manchester City tbh, maybe the regional point HMHM brings up will keep us as a lightening rod for it but it’ll slow down.
  22. What’s the best place to park in Milton Keynes? Additionally, is there any fountain we can bathe in?
  23. How are there still mackems buying into his bullshit? He’s been claiming to be buying Sunderland for about 2 years now, how fucking long do they think it takes to buy a League One club?
  24. I saw some Newcastle fan on Twitter banging on about what a top quality player Gordon is as he disrupted our game. So nothing he did on the ball, just that he ran around kicking lumps out of everyone - he must think Lee Cattermole was a world beater.
