I went to Cyprus at that sort of time a few years ago, was just right for me as I don't like *really* hot weather but it was still warm.

Living in town, the most common things I find at my door are piss, puke and squashed takeaways.

Lazio. Used to follow them years ago after I got one of their shirts which was in Fenwicks sportswear section for ages. I thought the shirt was really nice and my mam finally relented and bought me it, by which time I'd seen quite a bit of them on TV through Football Italia etc. Don't really follow them these days, but do occasionally watch out for their results.

Hope it's a return to form. Series 5 had some good moments, but the episodes on the whole were a lot poorer than the previous series'. Randomly, my mam is really looking forward to it.

Me too, 5/1 was too good to ignore. Same here. And I won a bet yesterday so I've probably used up my luck for this weekend..

For me, those are the worst pictures - seeing people hanging out of the windows and not being able to imagine what they must be going through. Personally the footage probably affects me more now than it did at the time. When it happened I was in 6th Form and whilst it was obviously a huge event, I felt very detached, as if it was a movie, because it was something I couldn't really relate to. Now, I am the same as many of the victims, in that I wake up each day, get a shower, rush off to work and don't expect to die. Seems a lot more real now I can empathise with the victims. RIP.

Walk home (only live 5 mins away), make some lunch - soup/sandwich/yoghurt sort of thing, browse the net/watch TV/read, walk back to work. Gets me out of the office but without being tempted to spend money. I always end up answering the phone or getting roped into doing something if I stay at my desk.

This is the first thread in ages that I've laughed at. Good work, everyone. I miss being a mod

I like most kinds of sandwiches.. they're one of my favourite foods.
-
Well that's not me (or Radgi!) I never bother with the bar at half time like, can't be arsed.
-
I want to watch a film, preferably a ridiculous horror, but my new Lovefilm ones have only just been dispatched. Already checked and there's bugger all on the film channels I have.. might have to browse the Movies On Demand.

I am also being a Friday night loser. Staying in the whole weekend actually, got no ££.

Leazes for me, my dad had a season ticket with his mates there for years before the ground was extended so all the games I went to were in the Leazes before they all got shifted to L7. Got my first season ticket passed over from one of my dad's mates in 2001 in the Milburn L7 and stayed there until this season, when I made a return to the Leazes (albeit the L7 corner). Only sat in the Gallowgate 2-3 times for cup games, it's canny but it just ain't home. PS. I hate 'Ends' being referred to as 'Stands'.

Must have been awful to go through. Really pleased everything is ok.

Not this Graham Roberts consortium crap again

He looked like he didn't have a clue. Nailed on to take over then. -
Nah. I brush 2 or 3 times a day and floss about once a fortnight.
-
Not been, but drove past it last night and wondered if it was any good.. so let us know.

I love a Mojito, has to be done properly though. My mate had one in the Goose that looked like a fucking Smirnoff Ice poured into a glass. I was actually offended by it.

I hate them too, they're worse than spiders or anything because they're so random.. One minute they're on the other side of the room, next they're fluttering about right in front of your face.

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a run of games in the Premier League as much as I've enjoyed the beginning of this season.

A-levels are so easy a monkey could be trained to do them, say teachers

Which in itself is a display of intelligence though. Some people work their arses off for 2 years and come out happy with a B. My happiness lasted approx 2 minutes until I turned round and realised my friend hadn't got the grades she needed for Uni after working really hard (thankfully she managed to get into a similar course, but I felt fucking dreadful). -

Tbf I did little work during class for 2 years, made revision notes 2 days before the exam, memorised them the night before, and got 3 A grades. There's no way I deserved them for the amount of work I put in over the whole course - in the exam I just rewrote what I'd put in my revision notes word for word.
