Watched this the other night, absolutely desperate stuff. I don't think I laughed once.

Who feels passionately enough about this to jack it next season?

I think this summer will be the first time I've ever given serious consideration to not renewing my ST. Obviously, it depends on how the season goes. -
Good episode, that one. Heating up nicely now. Preview looks quite good too, can't wait for the finale.

I'm off out tonight for our work do. Not bothering with a coat as it's only 5 minutes walk away, which isn't because I'm nails but because I don't actually have a suitable coat. I might stretch to a cardigan, but it'd be a short sleeved one..

Loads of people rang in to try and pull the whole 'no metros' bollocks but as everyone else had rang in to say they were just going to be late and everyone gets basically the same metro, they couldn't get away with it. Full house in here today for the first time all week, though it did take until 11.20am.

It was going back a good few years now (probably about 4). Hope they've sacked it off, total horse shit.

Lost 1.5 stone since mid August and that's still with having a good drink on a weekend and the occasional takeaway. Aiming to lose at least the same again then maintain a good weight and get my fitness up. I only recently joined a gym and really been enjoying it so going 3-4 times a week. I had been running regularly which I really miss at the minute but don't fancy my chances with all the ice about. As for food, on a normal weekday I'm having something like: Breakfast: 2 slices of wholemeal toast & Flora Light Snack: Apple/banana Lunch: 2 ham salad wraps, yoghurt Snack: Apple/banana/handful of raisins Tea: Meat/fish, veg Also tend to have a lot of soups during winter so getting plenty of veg in through those. The hardest parts for me were: - Stopping accepting the cake and biscuits that are forever being passed round the office, thankfully no one offers me them anymore because they know I'll decline. I started by telling people I was on a diet but tbh for all I call it that I find myself a lot less hungry these days when I'm making the effort to eat little and often - Cutting down on drinking (once a week now and I try to have vodka & diet coke or similar where possible) - Making sure I always have healthy options in the cupboards so I'm not tempted by cheaper, unhealthier options The exercise part I'm really enjoying and I'm now in a good routine where I don't really fancy McDonalds etc and actually prefer eating healthier food because I know I feel better for it.

That's what I'm off to in February. Sadly I am paying, but been contributing monthly so I haven't felt it too much. I'm not looking forward to it as much as some who are going, but it'll be nice to have something after Christmas to go to. Lovely place and lovely food. I'd rather have just gone for that though tbh. Last time I went was for one of those medieval banquets where you have to eat everything with a dagger. It was shite and that's now my benchmark, so I'm working on the assumption that this will easily be better.

Loved that game, the early leavers who sat around me at the time set off thinking we were beaten. Shearer's goal was one of those where you knew it was in just as he was swinging his leg.

Fucking hell, you're full of Christmas cheer aren't you! Misery tits. It's too fucking early to think about Christmas man. Fuck off.

I think there has to be a correct balance. If it means you're going to struggle to get home and either be stuck in your car, or have to pay to stay in a hotel then I think you should be allowed to take the day off or go home before it gets bad. I dont think you should be expected to get to work no matter what the consequences, but should be allowed to take a days holiday if you're not going to make it in. Some people really do take the piss tho! I can see the logic in that, our holiday year runs Jan-Dec though so most people have used their entitlement and we can't borrow from next year. Loads of people have been taking the piss, someone left at half 2 the other day and got home at 5.15.. surely the point of leaving a little earlier is so you can still try and get home at roughly the same time, not 15 minutes after you're supposed to have finished.

Don't bother with any at home as we've got a small flat so there's nee space, plus I'm a scrooge. Reluctantly I'm agreeing to my work team's tree going up this Friday as it's dress down and also it's our Christmas do on Saturday night so it'll get us in the mood. It'll come down on Christmas Eve before we go to the pub so we don't have to mess on in the New Year.

Only one lazy bastard has cried off today on my floor. Reckons she waited an hour for a bus then gave up, blatantly just looked outside and didn't fancy it though as she has a track record for doing that. Funnily enough it seems to be those who are frequently off sick who seem to live on the most troubled bus routes. Some people already lining their excuses up for tomorrow as well. Anyone would think that for the pay they get they're expected to come into work. I do feel a little for those who have a long journey to and from work but unfortunately problems are to be expected if you work so far away from home.

Bloody bin truck was stuck outside revving its engine for about 20 minutes this morning while I was desperately trying to squeeze some more sleep in before work.

I agree to some extent but wouldn't travel that way for 3-4 days. We went for 7 and managed to get through most of the main stuff in about 3 days but it was nice to spend the other few just wandering about etc. It certainly didn't become boring at any point. It helped that there were a few matches on while we were there mind as we wanted to get out and see those. We were going to have a day by the pool but didn't bother in the end because that's not really what we went to Vegas for.

Don't remember hearing it this time round, actually. Pleased to see he's still "laying on" the prizes for the winners each week though. Getting worse all the time innit? "Go to the shops and a hotel". This bit has always looked like a joke compared to the American programme (program) like. That one the other week where they were in the tiniest corner of a bar having cocktails and a disco thing, what a load of shit. I love the American version but I've only seen a few of the seasons. The one where Trump fires 5 of them in one go is one of my favourite episodes along with the one either before or after it.

Just play a bit of roulette, 5-10 minutes on there and waitress will usually come round for drinks. I played on the 1c machines a bit, but I find they get boring quickly and there are so many that less waitresses wander past so I ended up going to the bar! Mainly I prefer roulette as I fluked a $100 win in Caesars and I'm generally hopeless at gambling.

Is it not that you can't really appreciate the scope of the thing until you view from above? Well probably, but it doesn't appeal to me (also there's no fucking way I'm getting into a helicopter). I'll have a look on Google Maps instead.

Didn't fancy the Grand Canyon myself, there were loads of people flogging helicopter trips but I don't see the point in seeing something from the air and in the end we agreed it wasn't worth taking up a day going there by road.
