Saw part of it again last night and I'll stick with this. I'd forgotten how much "song and dance shit" there was though, not a fan of musical comedy.

Best: Ipod shuffle, been using my phone for music at the gym which hasn't been great, so was after something smaller. Also got a fair bit of cash too which will come in handy as I need loads of new clothes. Worst: Make-up from my auntie & uncle. Same every year, despite me having worn it about 3 times in my entire life. To make things worse they got my lad 4 cans of Fosters. I'm not a lager drinker but I'd rather have that ffs.

Should be out by 1pm apparently. Still think it's pointless being here in the first place.

I went to that 2-2 against Blackburn with a few off here, was fucking freezing that day. 1-2 at Wigan was grim too, ended up selling my ticket for last year's BD game as I couldn't be chewed with another shit day.

My mam has never made Yorkshires for Christmas dinner like. Going to the other half's this year though and his mam makes good Yorkshires so I suspect they'll make an appearance.

Hmmm. Bit un-ladylike tbh. Vodka & diet coke? Wine? I've just scoffed a load of chocolates if that helps.

Finish tomorrow, allegedly at 5pm but in the 7 years I've worked there we've never had to stay past 1.30pm. Got nowt to do tomorrow anyway so will mainly be winding people up and browsing forums. Off until the 4th Jan after that. All my shopping is done and just one left to wrap so all I have to do tomorrow is get over to the mother-in-law's, have some scran then get back out to the pub. I never feel Christmassy until I've got my first Christmas Eve pint in hand.

Reminds me of this cow I used to work with. Made the mistake of asking her what her daughter (who was about 15) was getting for Christmas. "A TV for her bedroom" she replied. I said something along the lines of "nice" and she then continued with "DVD player, dvds, new phone, laptop, clothes, shoes.." and a whole list of things that probably would've covered about 8 Christmasses for most kids.

Frantically making notes from this thread and wondering if numerous trivia questions will do for my Dad's Christmas present.. he loves that sort of shit.

Addams Family Values earlier. I know I'm beginning to get ready for Christmas when I actually watch this sort of film.
-
I did the same yesterday, this is the earliest I've ever been ready for Christmas. I keep having to go back through my family in my head though, in case I've forgotten anyone. It's like being packed for your holidays far too early and thinking you're leaving a load of stuff behind.

On one hand I'm pleased that I've done the 2 things I needed to do today (gym & post office) but I'm canny bored now the match isn't on.

This is just about it, for me. Started out watching the mackem game in a pub in Las Vegas first thing in the morning. Few beers, with an amazing win (in the presence of mackems who were crying by half time) followed by a buffet breakfast, a good wander around Vegas and some more drinks during the day then an American style Halloween at Freemont Street. Amazing day. For years my favourite day was one Saturday when I went to the match with my dad (can't even remember the game, we won though) which was a rare privilege, he bought me a load of Newcastle stuff, we got a takeaway pizza and rented Scream on video on the way home. It had only just come out and I was dying to see it before my friends. All standard stuff, but for some reason it was such a great day.

This. Dunno what to do with the day now.

The same task that they wrapped the american version up with in April. It was canny then. Was that a celebrity one? I thought the latest US series had only been going on the last few months. I was watching it but couldn't be arsed keeping up with it. Generally I do prefer some of the earlier US series though, Trump is class. Loved the episode where he fired 5 of them in one go.

It became obvious during the show that Chris & Stella were going to go through. Nothing really against either of them, but it's going to be the most wooden and boring final two ever. At least the task sounds pretty interesting. I've always found Stuart hilarious but I think Liz would've come across well at the interview stage so she would've been the only other one who could've possibly made the final. Joanna, Jamie & Stuart were all pretty out of their depth at this stage.

Sounds like you're having one of your top 10 worst days this year. Good thing about my cold is I've only been having one tab a day (other than Saturday), so might kick on and chuck them. I'm pleased you agree. If only my boss realised the seriousness of it all.
-
Really feel canny crap today. Any time I have a cold I always get really bad earache so I'm currently partially deaf in one ear and with rotten earache and a sore throat. Can't really be chewed but as half of the office have got the same thing there's not really much hope of getting away with a sly sicky.

Very underwhelmed by that. Few too many things were a little too easily tied up for my liking. As if the blood would've cleared Quinn when there were so many other things (phone calls, surveillance equipment) also going against him. And Deb didn't really solve the Barrel Girls murders, did she? Agree with what KD said about the next season too, that's the route it needs to start going down.

you're only saying that because you were sleazing after him, you massive harlot That was just the first step, establishing contact. I will carry his babies.

José has been canny tonight.
