1. I'm full of cold 2. I've been trying to decide what to get from the Indians later since I woke up this morning 3. I'm having a surprisingly quiet day at work, for a Friday 4. I'm freezing because the lass who sits in front has her desk fan pointed directly at me 5. I'm wondering if I can stick to my plan of not having any alcohol this weekend

Monkey Island was fucking amazing. PS. YOU FIGHT LIKE A DAIRY FARMER

Thinking of heading there next weekend, actually.

2:21:39 I wanted under 2:30 so I was pleased with my time though I was on target for about 2:15 until the 10 mile mark when I was just knackered. I started in Block K right at the back so having to constantly wind in and out of people got pretty tiring and so for some of it I was going slower than I wanted to just because I was sick of overtaking others. Hoping for closer to 2hrs next year.

I'd absolutely agree with this. I had it in my head that because when I was younger I was always a sprinter rather than doing any sort of distance, that I couldn't physically run anything long and the hardest part was getting over that mental block that would kick in when I've done a few miles. Lost count of the number of times a while ago that I set out to run 7-10 miles and ended up stopping after 3-4 and thinking I couldn't do any more, when in fact I was quite capable. Obviously that's a little different to marathon distances like.

I'll definitely do it again, possibly for charity though now I know I'm capable. I've got a PB to beat as well now. It's a great day though, the occasion really is something special.

Haway McGyver, stick the telly on. I go at lunch (yes lunch, fuckwads!) so that I can maximise my at home after work time. I never like to stick the TV on until later on when I've had a bath, tidied up etc and can actually relax. I like going to the gym in the mornings because I feel like some sort of goddess during the day but I can only force myself to if I know I've got something on after work. Fair play like, you've lost a canny bit of weight doing it, haven't you? Did you just do the GNR too? How was that? Aye, 4 stone. Currently lighter than I've been since I was at school I reckon. Mostly I love feeling healthier and being more active - I had concerns about my ability to keep it up but I'd not go back to being a lazy fucker now. GNR was canny actually, I surprised myself by enjoying it. I'll never be much of a runner but considering I used to fake illness for the 800/1500m at school I'm pretty pleased I can now run for enjoyment.

I go to the gym most days during the week, I prefer the routine because if I don't go after work I'm home by 5.10pm and twiddling my thumbs not knowing what to do as it's too early to be sorting tea out.

Would you like some soothing cream rubbed in anywhere? I'll let you know tomorrow. No doubt you were there dishing out Vaseline yesterday.

My legs are a bit achy but not as bad as I expected (no doubt it'll be 10 times worse tomorrow). My right ankle is feeling a bit ropey but I had really sore knees yesterday which have thankfully cleared up today. Not too bad really considering I didn't bother with any stretches or anything.

A fine mood. Having a lovely relaxing day off after doing the Great North Run yesterday. The only decision I have to make is what takeaway to get later.

what are the 5 websites you look at most on an average working day

Yes to the icing & marzipan, no to the rancid cake underneath it.

I hate the idea of classes. I'm sure they're great exercise but the people who run them are always evil and I hate being shouted at. I much prefer just to do my own thing, I'm pretty motivated without being yelled at. Currently: 9 st 3. Lost 1lb this week despite eating more and moving less in preparation for the GNR.

Had it been yellow stripes instead of blue it'd have been spot on IMO. I liked it anyway me. The worst one was that blue and orange one we wore when we lost 4-1 at Leeds. A friend of my parents bought me the scarf version of that for Christmas that year. Still got it somewhere. Absolutely dreadful.

Sort of game we're bound to lose. I'm not feeling very confident. -
My first season with a season ticket. I shared it with another lass and she was well pissed off I'd got this game.

On special from Forest Hall Sainsbury's? Half price at Tesco in town. There was never a Sainsburys there in my day. I thought you'd moved back as I saw you the other day. Just visiting, eh? It's a marked improvement on Kwik Save anyway. Went to my mam's for tea. Didn't know you were spying on me like, creep. The minute I moved away from the area all sorts sprouted up.

Couple of years. Don't know if that particular place is there anymore but it's a good idea if you can get to a proper place. They recommended a few pairs, I chose some roughly in the middle price-wise. I was going to get another pair a while ago for the Great North Run but decided these would get me through.
