The good and bad takeaways of Newcastle & Gateshead
Jill replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Is that opposite roseys? 7/10 if so. Aye, that's the one. It's pretty much the only place on Stowell Street that I don't feel like a twat going in and grabbing a takeaway from. I rarely get in any of them for a sit down meal as Himself doesn't like Chinese food. Plus it's fairly cheap which is always a bonus. -

The kids from that Chinese place in Forest Hall years ago went to my school and every time it was shut down (regularly) the kids weren't allowed to share food with anyone at school. Always felt canny bad for them. The places I tend to go these days are: Pizza - Best Kebab opposite Tilley's Chinese - China Town Express Indian - LB (Latif's) Most of the places in town are bampy as fuck though unfortunately. -
Vegas. I was there this time last year. The most exciting thing I have done today is Fire Warden training. The Boardroom was booked out for it but I was the only one who could attend this session so had the room to myself with feet up and a DVD to work through at a leisurely pace.

Looks lush. Hoy a slice over with some vanilla ice cream - cheers.

Very good mood. Had a good session in the gym this morning (love it on Saturdays when it's quiet). Just having a hot blackcurrant juice before heading out to watch the Chelsea/Arsenal game them going to have a quiet afternoon followed by a horror movie marathon later on.

I'm trying to cut down on drinking & spending so determined to have a quiet one but I'm always swayed by "fancy a pint?" texts. Hopefully have a horror film marathon at some point.

I'm starting to think Alex could be onto something with this hat lark. It seems to be working.

I do fine during the week, it's just Friday-Saturday-Sunday when it goes tits up.

I know plenty people who've been but not tried it myself. Reviews as follows: - They cleared away someone's half finished drink therefore it's a shit place - The food's canny - They do 2 pint sized drinks - There's fit lasses

Blackcurrant juice. Could murder some wine but trying to cut back my drinking and gonna be out most of tomorrow.
-
Well I'll be there, on the Friday.

Ham & cucumber sandwich and a yoghurt for me. Rock 'n' roll. Going to the hairdressers in a bit which I'm dreading. I hate haircuts at the best of times and today it's with a different hairdresser so quite frankly, I'm terrified.

It was always turnips round ours, though we never bothered because it really wasn't worth the hassle. My friend's dad would usually do a few anyway. Usually did a spot of apple bobbing and went trick or treating, but mainly round the decent old biddies in our estate as they'd do home baked cakes etc. rather than bags of rubbish sweets or pennies. The first time I carved a pumpkin was on a high school youth hostel trip and not only was it a bit of a crap way to spend "free time", the fucking thing stank.

I like reading about serial killers generally. Occasionally I'll go to the category and browse through random names. I realise that makes me sound a right sick fuck btw.

It's amazing, man. I can't even put into words how happy it makes me.

The Office (US) Masterchef Australia Dexter Special mentions: Arrested Development, Casualty, Home & Away (I know), Peep Show.

Doesn't really mean a lot to me if I'm honest.

Very well done Luke. It does make me feel a bit pathetic in comparison though as we're about the same age and I've achieved sod all in life.

I'm pretty bad for judging people before I've got to know them. My wanker radar is very quick to activate.

Midway through high school. I turned 13 that year. I don't recall anything particularly eventful for most of it, and I think that was the year my granda died a few weeks before Christmas.

I've just done some Gruffalo puzzles including join the dots, a word search and one of those maze things. Proof of how utterly boring my day to day life is: Clickarino

Really? Perhaps that why its rarely mentioned or shown. It was certainly quite shocking at the time, now we'd probably laugh at it! Aye. And I don't think it's ever been repeated in the UK but I seem to remember clips of it being shown on a different programme. I remember that, I'd not heard of it until whatever that other show was but my lad had so we ended up watching it. Cool story, I know.

I love horror films, find very few of them actually scary though. Insidious was fucking dreadful, that scene with the gas mask thing had me creased for ages. The ones I tend to find most creepy are the likes of Paranormal Activity, REC, etc but I'm pretty nails so I wouldn't say they scare me as such. I'm pretty desensitised though I reckon.
