  1. Kettlebells are class, only done home workouts so far which always knacker me, although I noticed the other week my gym has started doing a class or two a week so I might give that a go. I hate shouty instructors though so need to see who's doing the class. After saying the other day I'd happily put on a few pounds for the winter because I'm always freezing at the minute, I've gone and lost a couple of lbs, d'oh. Not sure I could get into the mindset of eating a little bit more without going off on one of my random binges though!
  2. Had genuinely forgotten. Cheers!

    Bamboozle was class like.

Filled Yorkshires are immense. That's just how I like them, nice and crispy round the top but soft, bordering on soggy in the middle.
  5. The first time someone asked their bairn to stand up for "the lady" on the metro and I realised she was on about me, I was gutted.
  6. The first time I really felt like I was getting old was when I realised kids born in the 90s (mainly friends' younger siblings) were old enough to drink and go clubbing legally. And I wasn't even that old then! These days it's daft things like when I find myself contemplating what jacket to wear to town for a night out. Someone mentioned Jurassic Park, that's another one that blows my mind as it was my favourite film for years and I was obsessed with it. Same with Sister Act, which I watched the other week and couldn't believe how old it was (still class though).
  7. Had a lazy start after a few drinks last night so only just got showered and dressed. I've got £30 cash to last until Friday and I need £15 for my bus ticket so it's going to be an extremely boring weekend for me. I'm going to wander along to Morrisons later and get some shopping in then have a quiet night. Tomorrow I'll either go for a run or do a kettlebell session then we're going to my mam's for Sunday dinner, which is as exciting as it gets. I thought it'd be nice to have a couple of days catching up with TV shows and DVDs but I'm fucking bored already.
  8. Great mood, had a canny few days. Match was enjoyable on Thursday. Yesterday I had to have an ECG, which came back fine and was a huge relief. Today I've had a productive day for housework with everything done by about 11am, Himself did some DIY type jobs this afternoon while I visited my Gran and now I'm relaxing with some wine and a week's worth of recorded TV shows to catch up with. All fairly basic stuff, but it's just been really nice.

I took the easy route too and knocked up some pasta with a fairly basic tomato sauce and some tuna. I was starving so pretty much inhaled it, despite it not being particularly exciting.
  10. Yep, amazing. I hate the wait for the next one after a class episode like that.
  11. True, and I've got the Bordeaux game to look forward to.
  12. Wish my gym would open that early on weekends. Doesn't open until 9 on Saturday & 10 on Sunday and since I'm usually up fairly early that's too much time to talk myself out of it! I'm back at work tomorrow after being off for a week and it looks set to be extremely busy, so I'm trying to fight off the depression.
  13. I've been to gigs on my own a few times when I thought I'd rather see the band than miss out because my friends weren't keen. Always had a really good time. It's just the waiting around in between support acts etc that's shit on your own but some well timed toilet/bar breaks can get round that. Finding out the set times is a good idea too so you know when to turn up for minimal waiting around. I can see the point of it being a bit weird but personally I'd hate to miss seeing a band I like just because no one else fancied it.
  14. - I have a (well deserved) week off work - I made up for not getting to the gym this morning by knackering myself out swinging kettlebells around - I went to Morrisons with wellies and a raincoat on and didn't look like the biggest muppet there - I'm currently watching 999: What's Your Emergency? which involves drunk people mooning - I suspect I may keep my hood up for the rest of the day, because that's just the sort of day it is
  15. I stayed over at my sister's once and went to get a quick shower in the morning, only to remember that they don't have one, only a bath! Had to wash my hair with a jug that I had to keep filling up. No wonder she's always late to meet me, must take fucking ages to get ready every day.
  16. Shower 90% of the time. Occasionally I like a bath but only on an evening if I'm staying in, couldn't be having one then getting ready and heading out.

    Pet Hates!

The bus today was stuck for ages behind a slow cyclist when there was a cycle path parallel to the road.
  18. Good because I'm off work next week, but pissed off because I jammed my finger in a cabinet drawer earlier and it fucking kills.
  19. This is why ideally I like being out on Sunday nights so I'm not sitting thinking about work, like tonight.
  20. Good and bad. I've had a lovely day in the gym then looking after a friend's dog. Unfortunately now I REALLY want to get a dog of our own, but it's not possible.
  21. Been toying with the idea of taking one up for years but never got round to it. I did briefly do a few trial sessions at a kickboxing gym which I really enjoyed, the cost put me off though. Plus one of the sessions was really fitness based (situps, running round the gym etc) which I was hopeless at at the time. I'd be canny at that part of it now though so it wouldn't scare me as much.
  22. Permission granted to kill me should that happen.
  23. Don't think that'll be an issue with the weights I'm using at the moment.
