A last minute exchange and completion threatened to ruin my quiet day at work.. all sorted now though (other than the estate agents being closed and the buyer having no clue where the keys are.. but still..)

Aye he does. You spoke to him in Rosie's last week when he was standing right next to me.

That's my lad you cheeky git.

On taking me to my first matches my dad basically said I could swear as much as I wanted as long as I never repeated any of it in front of my mam.

I was once sat near a lad who'd brought along his lass. She obviously hated football and kept moaning about how rubbish and cold it was or how she didn't know what was going on, then spending the rest of the time looking utterly bored out of her mind. Then about 85 minutes in the ball was played forward and she suddenly stood up and yelled "OFFSIDE REF FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" It sounds like nowt but it was so hilarious at the time after she'd complained the whole game and given the impression she'd rather be anywhere else, just came out of nowhere and she was right as well, it was miles offside.

Can't be fucking arsed with graft tomorrow. It's always morale-crushingly boring on Christmas Eve.

Jonas is infuriating me lately, it's like having a dog that you love but it really needs to be put down.

The first one I went to (meet at the corner of the ground, errr how about the Trent? Then at some point the Strawberry and Rosie's) was August 2003. I still have the cringeworthy photo of us all.

I helped my mam with her Christmas shop last night. I've helped her with shopping plenty times before because she's in a wheelchair but fucking hell last night was the worst ever. I thought I was going to die in Morrisons surrounded by party food and small bottles of Kronenbourg (every year, no one drinks it). And with my mam stopping to greet every passer by who, naturally, was a long lost friend.

I did get given a bottle of wine as a gift from a client today, maybe I'll leave it here and bring a corkscrew tomorrow just in case.

If I'm looking for a specific thread half the time I end up searching for something I know I've said before in that thread rather than the title, usually finds it straight away.

Christmas Eve - In work, apparently until 5 but hopefully we'll get out early. Grab a few bits of food shopping if necessary (just bread/milk type items) and head to the pub for a few quiet pints and a catch up with whoever is out. Christmas Day - Dinner at the mother-in-law's then round to my mam's later for present swapping with the family and the buffet tea that no one wants but everyone eats anyway. Boxing Day - Apparently one of our mates is having a few close friends/family round so will probably pop round there for a bit, hopefully watch some football as well. Not back in work until 2nd Jan so the rest of the week will be recovering and hitting the gym before the January rush.

I hope it doesn't end during the day when I'm at work. We're having a party later on so as long as I have a can in my hand I'll be fairly content about the whole thing.

My video. Fame at last.

@alreetlike Verified by Visa is going to be the death of me. Why do I have an inability to work out the 3rd, 4th and 8th letters of a password?! @Leazes_Mag @alreetlike learn to read, like most of the other wankers who run toontastic. FFS. I'm not sure I've ever interacted with him on there. I unfollowed him after about 2 hours of watching boring tweets back and forth between him and others on here.

Sorry for your loss. Was just coming in here to moan about having to do my Christmas shopping today.

I only went to a couple as a kid, wasn't keen on them though. I was never one for sitting still or getting particularly excited about people dressed up as things. Plus I was shy so I HATED it when they started on about people in the crowd or look for audience participation, always wanted to crawl under my seat and hide.

Good luck! We had someone wanting to complete on Christmas Eve, told them to fuck right off.

Dexter must be watched.

Man injured in Wheatsheaf car park shooting in Newcastle

I watched the Bordeaux match in there last week, it's my sister's local. My brother in law called in just as it was all happening to drop something off and got stuck in there for a while as the police wouldn't let anyone out. He was mostly pissed off that he couldn't get out for a tab. Pleased my sister's at work tonight as she'd no doubt have been in there over otherwise. -
Tuna pasta tonight. I could eat mountains of pasta, especially when I've been to the gym. Always make far too much of it (and pretend right up until the last mouthful that some of it will be left for tomorrow..)

I'm starting to like the look of him, he's becoming a more tidy player each time I see him.

Got a Squier Strat and a Gibson SG: Excuse my mam's colourful sofa.

Oh well that's a new excuse for hanging onto them at least - "they're to help my imaginary daughter in her future career, obviously!"

Wish I'd stuck with the guitar. I had lessons, but used to get frustrated too easily when I couldn't grasp something, instead of sticking at it. Got a couple of guitars I should really sell, but got an awful feeling I'll regret it if I ever do, despite never picking them up in years.
