I've been doing quite a bit of walking in the last few weeks and I absolutely love the meeting and greeting of strangers and passers by. Just a basic smile and 'hello' but it's so wonderfully polite.

Browsing around Facebook, Twitter, about 6 different forums and various news outlets even though very little has happened since the last updates. Sky Sports News on in the background. Occasional movement to get a drink/snack or go to the toilet.

I feel like I should do something productive today but I can't think of anything so I suspect I'll end up just loafing about all day. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah I'm watching it. Really enjoying the series so far. I'm just watching at UK pace since we're only a week behind, but the episodes so far have been really good IMO.

Read 10, I think 3 or 4 were my mam's old books (e.g. Anne of Green Gables) that I used to read at my Gran's house, wouldn't have picked them out myself. Started and gave up on Lord of the Rings and the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (I know, everyone seems to love it but I've read the first few pages about 8 times and never got any further). Seen a few film adaptations though..

This x 1000. Instead I just go about the daily grind and complain about how there must be something better out there.

£16 a month for my gym. I'm going around 3 times a week at the moment (2 weights, 1 cardio) and trying to run outside once a week or do a kettlebell session at home as well as generally being more active with long walks etc as the weather's canny. In the winter that'll be more like 4-5 times a week in the gym and naff all outside because I'm soft as shite. It's not always exciting spending my time in the gym but I find it easier just to head straight there from work instead of pretending I'll go for a run when I get home, and talking myself out of it by the time I've sat on the bus for half an hour.

I think everyone I know has picked Tuesday & Thursday. A lass from work has just started it over the last few weeks and she's a few pounds down so far. Then again, she also was when she did Weight Watchers, and Slimming World, and apple cider vinegar... so I'm hoping this is the one that sticks.

I quite like casinos. I've not been in one for months, now I think about it, but they're handy for popping into later in the evening for a change of scenery from pubs/bars. I'm not much of a gambler though, usually put £5-10 towards roulette (the machines preferably so I don't have to interact with people ) then knock it on the head regardless of how I've done. I do like watching other people gamble though, it's mental how much money some people will throw at roulette etc. I fluked a $100 win in Vegas which was probably the highlight of my casino career.

I've not had any alcohol this month and I feel loads better for it. Been working out quite well too, my abs would be in danger of showing if I wouldn't feel the need to make up for no alcohol with a bit of extra junk food.

Started watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia last night on Netflix since we've run out of Parks & Rec on there. I'm quite enjoying it so far, very easy to watch.

Oh there's not much of a story, it just seemed amusing how he went from having no interest in pets at all (I was allowed a goldfish and that was it) to suddenly insisting that he should have a dog and a week later this cute little bundle of white fluff turned up and started yapping and humping everything in sight. He also got some awful tattoos around the same time, just to complete the look.

I went into a shop for it. Carrying it back to work and then home on the bus afterwards was enough of a workout in itself.

Course, got to get my body fat down to 4%. It's what people want to see. I expect I'll swing it around enthusiastically (probably a joke in there somewhere) for a few weeks then it'll be used as a doorstop for a bit.

My dad's not massive (bigger than yours, though) but he has a bichon frise. It's lovely, but it was a strange form of mid-life crisis that he went through to end up with it.

Going to Berlin in September/beginning of October. Really looking forward to it, but I desperately need to brush up on my German. I feel like I should make something of an effort since this will be the first non-English speaking country I've visited where I did (at one point) have a reasonable grasp of the language. I think I'm still ok at reading things - or at least enough to get a general idea of what it's saying - but the idea of having to form sentences and interact is frankly rather terrifying at the moment.

Organisation .. I'm struggling.

Buying a new kettlebell tomorrow, going to be the highlight of being paid. I'm having an alcohol free month in July so trying to trim down my body fat a little. I'm not measuring it other than with my scales, which can be a bit random, but just going off how I look/feel. Already feel loads healthier and my trousers feel ridiculously loose so it must be going okay so far.

Deviate from my routine occasionally. It must seem fairly pathetic to others that I eat/exercise/do other things in such a rigid routine. I feel like I fall apart without it, but I'm sure I could be a little more laid back and lighten up at times. Be more sociable. I certainly don't see enough of my friends and I almost never arrange anything, always leave it up to them to ask me to do something. Not fly off into a rage at the most tiny things. I get far too easily irritated by stupid people, things that won't cooperate, etc.

That's what we do and it works perfectly. He earns a little more than me but not enough for it to be a huge factor, and it just means if we want to pay for something "big" like a weekend away or holiday, he can take the hit from his account so we don't need to put it on a credit card. Then I transfer my share over when I have the money. We even do separate food shopping because we eat completely different things. Anything householdy is paid for from the joint account and occasionally we'll use it for a meal/night out. We lived together for several years before getting a joint account. We'd each have a standing order for half the rent, then I'd pay the bils when I got paid (19th) and he'd transfer half over when he did (21st). The joint account is linked to our mortgage which is basically the only reason we bothered when we bought a house, otherwise I expect we'd be continuing the same way as before.

Agreed, the case put forward was woeful. Lawful decision based on the evidence but doesn't feel like justice.

I fully expected to hate the IT Crowd but when I watched it from the start I realised I actually really liked it. Still loving Parks & Recreation at the moment, onto season 4 episode 16.

Weary, had a really busy week at work. Every other day has flown over so I just know today will drag on forever.

Congrats.
