Has financial criminality caused you to move bank?
Jill replied to Happy Face's topic in General Chat
I've been with HSBC since I first opened an account. I'm too passive with these things, the account is fine so I just can't be bothered to think about changing for any reason. -
I've enjoyed both of the latest ones, although the wedding episode was a bit weird. It was good but seemed lacking in a point for most of it. I still liked it though, partly because in my attempt to make a vaguely witty comment I inadvertently solved it before Sherlock. Mind, we only watched the previous ones within the last couple of months so I suppose I might feel differently if I'd been waiting ages for the new ones.

Started watching The Bridge II last night, despite not having seen the first series. I enjoyed it so will be getting stuck into the first one asap.

I've had several pairs before, nowt wrong with them! Socks are my favourite item of footwear. I hate being barefoot and I hate wearing shoes but I need to have something on my feet. They came with a long list of "benefits" of wearing toe socks. Unsurprisingly, for a company that specialises in them. The material of these ones is loads comfier than the others I've had, you barely notice your toes are separated with these. http://www.toesocks.co.uk/index.php/benefits

I think I'll just stick to lashing valium down my neck every time I fly.

It's absolutely rubbish listening on the radio.

New socks.

I had an absolutely rank day at work today like. Woke up at between 3-4am and couldn't get back to sleep so was shattered to begin with, then had a ridiculously busy day and hurried straight out the door at 5 leaving a mountain of stuff to get through tomorrow. Then on the bus home a little girl sitting near me announced "daddy, I feel sick.." If she'd gone ahead and done it, it really would've summed the day up perfectly.

I didn't even know we had a streaming forum. I've got no interest in that thing anyway man. It's just one of those projects that him indoors has had ongoing for some time, with no benefits whatsoever to date, as far as I can tell. He's adamant though, it will be useful.

If you find any decent use for that raspberry pi please let me know, ours just sits there with regular threats of "oh we might be able to use it for..." before establishing "nope, that doesn't work either" each time.

I think I'm about +2lbs. Not the end of the world. I've snacked/overeaten less this year than most but I've had a fair bit of alcohol and done precisely no exercise other than 2-3 miles walking on a couple of days. I'm about to go to the gym for an hour or two just to push the guilt aside a little.

Definitely having a few days of water/pop/juice. Way too much cider, wine and Buck's Fizz in the last few days. All very enjoyable though.

Counting down the minutes until we can leave at 1pm.. Out of Office is prepped, phone ready to be transferred.. I've been good to leave for ages ffs. All presents have been bought and wrapped days ago so just need to get them dropped off at my mam's for tomorrow to save carrying them on foot and then it's feet up and a few sociable Christmas Eve drinks.
-
I can't be arsed making bacon sandwiches this year so might just have chocolate and Buck's Fizz. Usually I'd knock up a sandwich or two if we were going somewhere else for dinner but can't be arsed to wash up from that only to have to start on the Christmas dinner.
-
Probably just some half-arsed attempt to drink less, which I'll fail at by mid-January. I think I've only ever kept one new years resolution, which was to take one photo every day. I started at the beginning of 2010 and haven't stopped since.

Yeah I agree. I don't mind as a one off for gifts but they could do with a few special offers or something.

Just had to reign myself in from spending an absolute fortune in that Glug place that's part of Mmm Deli in the Grainger Market.

We're having chicken, because himself is fussy. There's just the two of us though so not doing a full one. We were going to get beef as well but we haven't got a great deal of oven space and quite frankly can't be arsed to make too much of an effort when there's no one else there to impress. Pigs in blankets, roasties, possibly mash, sprouts, carrots, parsnips, probably another veg too. And Yorkshire puddings, which I don't feel are necessary on a Christmas dinner but as he insists I'm happy to go along with that. Haven't decided on a starter or dessert yet but we'll do one or the other. Several bottles of wine required for the cooking and eating process, naturally.

I fucking howled at that.

I prefer us to book a holiday/weekend away as a joint Christmas present for me and the other half although that could be because I'm shite at buying presents. Mind, his birthday is on the 21st December anyway so it doesn't get me completely off the hook.

I love that show, I don't know anyone else that watches it though. It's so cringeworthy, but in a brilliant way. She's absolutely vile.

I think I'm on episode 4 or 5 and still enjoying it, just finding it difficult to fit in hour long (or close) shows at the moment. I like propping my phone up to watch Netflix in the bath but It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is my choice for that as the episodes are the right sort of length. All a bit 'first world problems', I know.

I can't wait, I'll be fantastic at being a grumpy old cow.

Old women who suddenly become extremely mobile when the bus arrives and storm straight to the front of the queue.

I love going out for long walks with a podcast too, I'm just one of those weird people that does it without a dog.
