  1. Hopefully we all looked better than that initial photo in Rosie's all those years ago... Good times, aye. Was a bit knackered by then, sorry for being a tad antisocial but I was just being shy as ever. Now annoyed and upset as I've been following the Hannah Graham missing case from the US and it looks like her body has been found. I need to find some normal hobbies.
  2. Same for me, it's very cathartic to scream at the TV what a pack of muppets they are. Sugar is absolutely thick as pig shit too. The clip of him on twitter: "spurs score anyone?" ... "got it thanks"
  3. I like that we aren't limited to 1 firing each week. The episode of the US one where Trump fired 4 of them was hilarious.
  4. There are some right freaks on this year. Hopefully it'll make for a good series.
  5. I can vouch for this. It's bloody brilliant.
  6. Went to Mmm.. Glug.. in the Grainger Market today and picked up these since I haven't tried either: If they're rubbish I'll drink the water from that iron instead.
  7. I'm a big fan of The Bridge, I haven't yet found a subtitled show that I like as much (actually then again, there are loads I haven't tried). Anyone been watching Crimes of Passion that's been on in the same Saturday night timeslot that The Bridge used to be in? Another subtitled one, but more of an Agatha Christie feel to it. It's been alright, we've still got the last two to watch though. I started watching The Kitchen from the iplayer on the bus this morning, found it weirdly fascinating considering it's just watching different people make and eat their usual meals. I guess for a food freak like me it's what Gogglebox is to TV fans.
  8. I love Twin Peaks. This better be good because I always have to convinced people to stay with it through that really dodgy part in series 2. Started on Trailer Park Boys last night out of running out of episodes of Parks & Rec. Seems ok so far.
  9. My brother in law gets them without fail every time. Unfortunately that then leads to months on end of conversations about how he's destined to be there.
  10. Considering buying a crosstrainer so I don't have to pretend to myself that I'm going to go for a Saturday morning run when the weather is icky.
  11. I caught part of an episode but thought it was a bit naff.
  12. Hiked up Skiddaw yesterday, absolutely cracking way to spend the day.
  13. I subscribe to the magazine version of Runner's World. I feel like a real fraud because I only ever read it when I'm using the crosstrainer at the gym (which is usually as a result of actively avoiding running).
  14. I do quite like that for mapping out routes in advance. Not that I always stick to them mind, if I see a horrible looking hill that I hadn't factored in.
  15. I'm in a huff with my running app (MapMyRun) after I set off for a run at 6am and the fucking thing didn't record it properly. Had to satisfy my own pedantry by drawing out the route online and logging it. Bastards!
  16. Sorry for your news Stevie, but stay positive and keep battling on.
  17. Poor bloke. He looks so different without his hair. Hope he battles through this.
  18. I was extremely tempted not to bother but our landlord had been really good and had already given us a 1 month extension to allow us time to complete (but wasn't able to extend it again as he'd got someone else lined up). We did open the oven late on, think "fuck that" and agreed to a small deduction from the security deposit to cover the cleaning of it.
  19. We exchanged and completed simultaneously during the afternoon of the day that we had to hand the keys back to the landlord of our rented flat. I was like Speedy Gonzales from the moment I got the call to say I could pick up the keys for our new house. Had to get everything shifted and finish off the cleaning of the flat within a few hours. Thankfully we'd been able to store some stuff at the mother-in-law's in readiness, but I could've wept when we finally got sat down with a takeaway and a drink in the new place. I work for the solicitors who did the conveyancing too. I hounded them constantly and there was still no urgency, bloody hopeless.
  20. The gym's fine once you get into the habit and it's part of your routine. I go 3-4 days a week straight from work and a lot of the time I hate it but once I'm there I figure I might as well put some effort in. Good luck with it. I've been meaning to get into swimming but wearing a swimming costume is just far too much of a trauma.
  21. I watched the first episode and only lasted about 10 minutes. Just could not get into it at all. I might go back and give it another go. Currently watching: BoJack Horseman - wasn't sure at first but it's definitely watchable, not a laugh a minute but some clever moments Crimes of Passion - cross between Midsomer Murders and the various Swedish crime dramas, reasonable enough Major Crimes Masterchef Australia

    Alex

Certainly was. I'd have said hello, but you were just leaving and I was working on my tan.
