Mr Pud - would be really cool to see you there. Hope you make it down I have a feeling that Silky is gonna be bloody funny.... Ahh... I wondered why it said that the room was still open for gigs and stuff on the site... now I know. As long as it doesn't burn down again when I'm in there, I'll be alright.

I'm listening to the end of Eddie Perfect's song "Dwayne's Song (Some of my best friends are aboriginal)" ... which takes the piss outta racists. Oh, that's finished now. I'm NOW listening to his song entitled "John Howard's Bitches"... which takes the piss out of John Howard (Aussie Prime Minister), and people who complain about him then vote him back in again.

It is indeed a comedy gig. A friend I met in Melbourne (who's English, he was just over for the comedy festival) is on there. He's got loads of gigs in Newcastle at the moment, which is good. Never actually seen him on stage before! But he's bloody funny to just chat to, so it looks good....

I think it's finally time I seek professional help. I can't help but giggle at this smiley. And that just HAS to be wrong, right????

Hi guys. Any idea where the Cornerhouse Hotel is?? I *think* it's down here the river.. umm.. ish? Is that right? Is it easy to find? I mean, I know the street it's on.... Stephenson Road.... but that means NOTHING to me, and I don't have a map... and I tried looking online for something that'd be helpful, but everything I found just confused me more. Because, yes, I am that useless. I need to go there on Friday.. my mate's got a gig on there. But that means I have to be able to find it!!!

I thought it was going to be 42. Damn.

I suck at bowling. And I'm extremely random at it (me, random? what a shock). But I have been known to get two strikes in a row, and then not hit a single pin for the rest of the game. We went bowling last week, and we played with bumpers so that we felt better

Damn, that's sad. He rocked.

Well that was a let down. Most of my posts are worse for you than that....

Actually, he might have meant Summer, I'm not sure any more, I'm struggling to remember what you look like to be frank??? http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/neighbours/whos...t/_summer/page1 42708 That's just as bad. Plus, she's like 12. I think I'm going to become a hermit now, and drown under a seat of Boat leaflets...
-
Today I am also pissed off from the folks from The Boat who seem to think it's a GREAT idea to come through the halls about three times a day leaving their leaflets EVERYWHERE. One stuck on every door.... one under every door... a couple littered in the hallway.... yesterday they even got in our kitchen and left them on EVERY shelf, in the toaster, in the microwave, in the sink, on the windowsill (actually, i was quite impressed with the effort they went to once i found the one in the microwave). But, y'know, I get the point. There's stuff on at the boat. Woo. Excitement. Fun. NOW STOP LEAVING ME LEAFLETS ABOUT IT!!!!! My bin is bloody full of the things. I hope they're replanting the entire forest they've ripped up just to do this.

Chloe Maxwell is a two faced cow I really can't stand that woman. I don't even see that she's particularly pretty.... Anyways, I'm still hurt by Alex's comments. I don't know who your friend is, Alex, but I don't like them. (I mean that in a factual way, not in a 'and therefore they should cry themselves to sleep because my friendship is a wonderful gift to have' way.)
-
I have no idea where that's come from... and why you are suggesting that I'm like her..... but that actually hurts. I despised Hannah. You meanie.

On a separate note, we welcome Lou (Welsh Dragon) to the city and hope she has an enjoyable university career. 40195 Pretty sure I saw her in Revolution the other night, couldn't be sure though. There were loads of 'crazy' student types there anyway. No idea if that was me. Don't think I've been there....... maybe I have, I dunno. I just go where the girls from my corridor go, pretty much. I've been trying to go out with them during Fresher's Week and be social and get to know people. But by the weekend I was knackered so was like screw it, I'm sleeping instead! I've met some really nice people... but no one's on the same wavelength as me. Which is really weird to cope with, because in Oz, pretty much everyone I met was. Then again, I've only been here a week... it'll probably take time to work out who are the people I want to be friends with. And whenever I've been out in a huge group of freshers I've always felt soooo sorry for everyone who gets caught up in the middle of it. I can see how it would be fuckin annoying, because it's not great even when you're part of it!
-
I'll be there. Now I live here I don't really have much of an excuse! Plus, you have to make sure I don't end up on a train to London that day. I don't trust myself...
-
Googling is so impersonal..... this way I got to give you a job on this friday eve. Thanks guys "the next door part of town" - excellent. unicycling distance!!!!!!* *once i've actually learnt how to unicycle, that is.... at the moment, unicycling distance for me is about, ooo, a couple of foot. further, if i fall of quite dramatically.

Hi guys. Where is Fenham? And how does one get there?? I'm gonna be living at Castle Leazes Halls... is it near there?? There's a circus club there, and it says that afterwards they go to the pub either in spital tonges or castle leazes... so i'm guessing it can't be far off! i don't need exact directions (yet)... just a vague idea is good enough.... ta!

Aww shucks! Thanks Ms Raider. *hands her a hat*

Actually, a lot of smaller acts very happily make their music available to people online... it's a great way of getting more people to hear their stuff. And if people like it, people will buy the CD, because they'll well, want to. And they'll also want to support the band. My Space is full of bands letting you download their stuff. As it says on one of my mates CD's "unauthorised duplication of this cd is an infringement of all applicable laws but is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED".

today i have mostly been feeling sorry for myself because i'm missing out on all the fun of Melbourne Fringe Festival, which ALL my friends are involved in. and have also been feeling a bit nervous about la uni...
-
:lol I've got two saved so far...... might take your advice and get a few more and do 'em all at once. That iPod shall be mine! mwahahahah!

we get loads of free activites during freshers week. well, ok, we had to pay £45 to start with. but after that, it's free. eg: paintballing.... laserquest.... go-karting..... YAY!! Can't wait... sounds such fun. AND i get free broadband connection in my room - woohoo!
-
I reckon entering in the middle of the night is the best plan too. Texts are normal price. Where's the catch? Other than having to be awake at 4am........
