  1. Couldn't have predicted it much better. Coloccini was the worst player on the pitch.
  2. My whole life I have slagged negative people off and tried to remain positive, but it's going to be a shite defeat today I'm afraid. They're talking about starting Gouffran ffs, Palace 3 Newcastle 1. More whinges more of a McClaren saying he can't impact on poorly talented players. The pace Palace have upfront will completely fuck Coloccini today I can just feel it.
  3. I'm staggered that the most embarrassing moment in our history has lost something. It happened last December and I'll be honest I never even heard of it happening. Hereford United who caused the biggest, most famous shock defeat in our entire history, don't exist any more. Staggered. Just shows where lower league is in importance with the press these days. RIP Hereford United.
  4. Leicester City made to look like Real Madrid We have quite a history against Leicester. Certainly in the years I've supported the club. If my memory serves me right, in the 30 years I've had as a Newcastle fan the only time a 5-4 result has appeared is against Leicester. Both in 1990 bizarrely, the first was one of the most incredible games of football I've ever witnessed, as we came from 2-4 down with 10 minutes left, to win 5-4 with a truly magnificent turn and goal sending the Gallowgate in to heaven in stoppage time from Mark McGhee. I was 13 years of age and the celebration sent me 60 yards across the corner. 12 months later it was 5-4 to Leicester this time, as Filbert Street reaped its revenge. The year later we had a game viewed at the time as THE most important game in the clubs history with it being the final game in the 91/92 season. Leicester were high in the table, we were 21st and knew a defeat could quite possibly relegate us to the third tier for the third time in our history. We led 1-0 till the 89th minute when Steve Walsh equalised. 65 seconds later Walshy scored again this time in his own net prompting a pitch invasion from two sets of fans which lasted for ages. Anyway with Plymouth losing we didn't need the win or even the draw, but we didn't know that at the time. Since then we've had other epic encounters with Leicester. The 1993 promotion season ended with a 7-1 hammering of them (who made the play offs) and it was 6-0 at Half Time. Shearer scored his first hattrick for the club against The Foxes again with United facing a two goal deficit at 1-3 down with 77 minutes gone. The 4-3 win was an epic. It was a weird game, not least because Heskey looked so good I thought he was going to be England's second Shearer. During Dalglish's reign one of the best games was a 3-3 draw with Leicester and there have been several other moments between the clubs. I won't forget any of those games. Leicester are not a big club but we've had so many classics with them for some reason. More than we've had with anyone else in my time supporting the club. So despite our start to the season, I was genuinely looking forward to Saturday. Sitting in my Leazes perch I thought it would be a game with lots of goals. I even stupidly placed a bet with us winning 4-2 considering our last 16 games at home to them the record stood at W14 D1 L1. So 3pm we rise to respect the 129 people who lost their lives in Paris while looking forward to an interesting game of football. 450pm we average 27 swear words a minute, put a 1 in front of the 27 in my case. It was utterly horrific. Horrific. We lost 0-6 to Liverpool in 2014, that was Pardew's worst game as our manager, I honestly think this Leicester game was as bad, if not worse. This is a club who don't have half of our fanbase or turnover or history, who we genuinely made look like a top class team. I don't want to take anything away from Leicester because they played us off the park, they were better from back to front and showed a degree of confidence that we haven't had for years. We played like a team who don't respect their manager. We played like a team who don't have a game plan. We played like a team who would struggle in the Championship. We played like a team who are relegation certainties. Steve McClaren talks at length about how the club is on its backside. The same club are the 19th richest on earth, have the 11th highest gates in Europe and spent £50m in the summer. Four months into a new managerial role, I don't think it's out of order to hold managerial sections of the club responsible for our hideous place in the table. I guarantee you now (yes this is just an opinion) a manager who gains instant respect from his players (look at Liverpool) would not have a club in relegation trouble like we are. This line about our squad being abysmal, is the answer as to why we are so poor at the moment according to the masses and it's bollocks. This squad should should be mid-table. I'm not saying we are Real Madrid, but how can such a poor side score 6 goals in the Premier League like we did against Norwich? How can such a so called hopeless dominate teams who are in the Champions League like Man City (utterly dominated for 45 minutes) and Chelsea? We've played well in patches, but the bottom line is I think the team far from respect Steve McClaren who needs to find a solution fast or end up in the same situation he found himself with England, Twente, Nottingham Forest, Wolfsburg and Derby....SACKED!
  5. The lass holding the baby isn't bad to say she's ginger.
  6. One of the boilers looks like Wayne off AWP and one looks like the boiler out of Ghost, Demi Moore.
  7. Where's that? Rothbury? The kid with the penny floater his barber needed doing in.
  8. Aye that picture would've been taken in 1980 as it goes.
  9. Haha. I'd be jumping off the Tyne Bridge if I was ever that ginger. Nee offence ginger cunts.
  10. I usually do three ten quid bets of a weekend, always with four teams. It's a money maker. We'll see how much I'm up at the end of the season. I do three bets the first one I write, will always be my banker, the second something I've studied with every chance. The third again every chance with a bit old spice thrown in. Bet one Chelsea to beat Norwich 4/9 - Norwich concede 6 against us, what can Chelsea do to them? They will turn the corner and in normal circumstances they'd be 1/5 for this game. Arsenal to win at West Brom 1/2 - Arsenal have won 5 of their last 6, while WBA have lost 4 of their last 6. Undoubtedly Arsenal are in amazing form, they even beat the best side in Europe the other week. No brainer this one. They'll piss it like they did 2-5 at Leicester the other week. Oxford to win at Dagenham 8/13 - Oxford have won 6 of their last 8, Dagenham haven't won a league game since August. 24th v 2nd. Plymouth to beat Exeter 4/5 - The only possible negative you can say about this is its a derby. Forget about that though, it's hardly Millwall v West Ham or Newcastle v Sunderland, these are cider drinking degenerates, but on the pitch Plymouth are injury free, top of the league by 5 points, won 7 of their last 8 league games, against Exeter who have won 1 of their last 7. If I was a bookie I'd make this 1/4 not 4/5. £10 makes £63 Other bets Bet Two Hull 13/10 - Top of the league for a reason, against a very average side who have won 2 of their last 12 Leeds 10/11 - won last two under the new manager Sheff Wed 4/5 - mental price for a home game, lost 1 in 14, against Huddersfield lost 3 in the last 4. Wigan 4/6 - form team in the league against Shrewsbury who might go down. £10 makes £131 Bet Three Newcastle 9/5 - we'll see Coventry v Gillingham over 2.5 goals 4/5 - 7 of their last 8 games there's been many more than 2 goals Millwall 4/5 - should piss this Oldham 7/4 - at home to beat a Barnsley side who have lost their last EIGHT £10 makes £249
  11. A bit thick and uneducated this may seem but - all I'm going to say is we'll piss it. Loads of goals. Newcastle 4 Leicester 2
  12. I haven't, looks decent but the form only goes back 6 games.
  13. Nah I gave your advice a miss mate. Good form lately. Will do the weekends games on Friday. Studying this page http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tables in all leagues works wonders. Last 10 to the right of the table, studying the opposition, looking why and how good/shit runs are truly helps win money regularly. Studying the last 10 though, nothing helps better than that.
  14. Just waiting for England for me 84's now. In hindsight I should've backed Ireland to win in 90 mins not just qualify.
  15. Well done Ireland. Me Grandma originally from Tipperary will be drinking the Guinness up there in the clouds. We can only play one of Wales, Norn Iron and ROI though because they're all in POT 4. A dream group would be England, Austria, Hungary and Norn Iron. We should qualify out of any group but the easier the better. Worst group treble for the home nations would be, Spain, Italy and Poland or Romania.
  16. Possibly my worst football piece of football prediction on this board. Bets for the next few days: Ireland to qualify 4/7 England to beat France 17/10 £20 pays £84.86
  17. Sweden won 2-1 did they not? Aye you're right what you're saying but those little 2 quiddies are going to come in to play for me. I feel bitter.
  18. I feel for you, but London won't be any better in the future in terms of being a target of these arseholes, I hate saying it seeing as though I've got really close family and friends down there.
  19. At the weekend I had the most incredible of picks. Its really difficult to pick 5 teams that all get a result for you, so typically what I do is have 2 or 3 four team accumulators. This weekend I did that, I had 3 four team accumulators. Did a little bit of research as you do. Anyway 12 teams. 10a on one four team bet. 3 quid on the second and the 3 on the third. They ALL fucking won. Every single one of them won. £16 and I only got back £135. It's bugged me since last night. Ukraine 2-0 (4/7) Bradford 2-0 (1/2) Coventry 3-1 (6/4) Peterborough 2-1 (10/11) Northampton 1-0 (6/5) Oxford 1-0 (4/7) Plymouth 2-1 (5/4) Cheltenham 4-0 (4/6) Nuneaton 5-1 (4/5) Falkirk 5-0 (1/3) Ayr 1-0 (4/6) Annan 1-0 (Evens) If I had've put the £16 just on all 12 teams to win together I'd have got back £18,664.65. If I sound bitter...I am! Still £135 isn't the end of the world, but 18 grand man. Dear me.
