  1. For all a protest will get in FMA's face and make a point i dont think that will be anywhere near enough to get him to sell now. Fwiw i already think they are moulding the club into an attractive proposition but that may be a year or so away. Protests are unlikely to push things forward.
  2. 2-1 for me as well. Cabaye and Shola. I dont think the meeting has fuck all to do with the result Stevie...Bartons heads gone. ---Krul--- Simpson---Taylor---Coloccini---Enrique Jonas---Cabaye---Gosling---Marveaux Shola---Ba Subs: Forster, Williamson, R.Taylor, Tavernier, Obertan, Vuckic and Best.
  3. For what has went wrong it could of easily of gone right. Im all for FMA improving our finances, it is important for future growth and also puttin us in a position where we can be sold. However, doing so seems to come at the cost of strengthening the squad sufficiently. He lacks the ambition to do both. I am pleased with the incoming recruits...Cabaye will be great for us alongside Tiote, Marveaux gives us pace and delivery out wide, Ba will bring goals if he hits the heights of last season and Obertan will be hungry to impress with a run of games and offers us a genuine option out on the right. This though is not sufficient. The whole Jose/Barton situation should of been resolved one way or another long before now. Infact neither should of got down to their final year. The money we get from Enrique should be reinvested in his replacement. M'Bengue will cost about 6mil. So the only other outlay should be for a 10mil+ striker. Cabaye.....Nolan money +1mil Obertan...Routledge money +1mil No matter how they dress it up on "staying in the club" they have spent fuck all....Come on man mike stop being a tight arsed cunt and go get the striker and left back we need and we will all be happier for it. Im still hopeful it will happen. Not confident....Hopeful.
  4. Probably around 12mil i think. If we could set up a loan deal for 3mil with a future fee of 9mil would be ideal. 3mil will get us a genuine threat upfront and most importantly goals. The 9mil fee means we would be ahead of evereyone else come the end of the season should he like it up here and does well.

  6. Exactly. There is no answers because knowbody knows...smoke and mirrors if ya ask me. Tiote wants to leave.
  7. I reckon Colo will be a leader as too will Tiote...if he stays.
  8. Newcastle United are preparing a £3million offer for Barcelona striker Keirrison as they continue their search for Andy Carroll’s replacement. The Magpies have made contact with their Catalan counter-parts about the availability of the 22-year-old. The Brazilian has not made a single appearance for the La Liga giants first-team since making a £9million move from Palmeiras in 2009. He was sent on-loan back to his native country last season to Santos and scored four goals in 13 appearances. Toon Army boss Alan Pardew has been searching all summer for a new striker and is confident he can finally land his man. Pardew has made enquiries about Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner and Tottenham’s Peter Crouch but did not make an offer. A deal for PSG hit-man Mevlut Erdinc was close to fruition but the Turkey international pulled out at the last minute. Meanwhile, Pardew insists he will not close the door on Joey Barton’s career at St James’ Park, despite the feud between player and club. The boss regrets the situation being handled so badly but hopes he may be able to convince the 28-year-old to stay. The club however have revealed that neither they nor the player will make any more comments on the situation. ---- I'd never heard of him before. Any good?
  9. I'd rather jump off one. He's on massive money and he was well off the pace last season. Maybe. Has shown he can do it. If we could get him for 2-3mil and him on 50k max then i think he would do a job. Who would you choose out of those four?
  10. From what i've seen in preseason Cabaye has been quality...proper quality. Tidy, composed, vision and works hard. Vuckic looks to be coming on well, nice feet and gets into great positions, i see him more central like a young Van Persie rather than outwide on the left. Abeid looks like a lad with ability and potential, rave reviews from the reserves already. I've heard Marveaux is tricky and quick, likes running with the ball and has put in a few wicked crosses....promising so long he proves his fitness. Ba however has sounded like he has been shite and rusty. Would be good to get him up and running and on the form he ended last season in. Best for me should be given a chance, i think he has something to offer. Him and shola will be good backup behind Ba, Ben Arfa and another new striker. I'd still be looking to move on Smith, Ranger, Perch and Lovenkrands.
  11. This. Man Utd seen something in him when he signed and to be fair was up against it in terms of competition in the Man Utd squad. At 3mil i think its a very good bit of business. Even if he is a replacement for Barton, and we will miss his input, he is actually a right winger and will give us good balance in midfield. Marveaux---Gosling---Cabaye---Obertan Niice. If we can bring in a quality striker be it permanent or on loan AND replace Jose sufficiently (M'Bengue, Bridge, Shorey, Warnock) then i will be pleased with the window. The onus is then on January when a few players arent getting the games they want and become available.
  12. Whats to say that this isnt all just smoke and mirrors? What if Tiote has went on strike and is refusing to come back unless he gets a move to Chelsea? Something definitely fishy about this. This really ought to have been sorted before it became a problem. Anyway...I'd be happy to see Gosling start against Arsenal and defeat some of his personal demons against the mackems. He's been in good form preseason.
  13. So this is happening then? I thought he looked ok when i've seen him, he is still young and could come good. Like its been said already, better than routledge. Its all fine and well seeing the club to decent business but where the fuck is the new striker and left back we REALLY need?!?
  14. Everyone elses radio workin? Mines died. Still 0-0?
  15. Hope not! Got a feeling he mite be a Ledley King kinda player....only training once a week and needing looked after more than others. Marveaux could be the same....how many pre-season games has he started? Suprised not to see Abeid in the squad, looked decent so far, pleased Vuckic is getting another chance. I see him as more of a striker than a LM like.
  16. Bit like presuming Lampard might be a good loan deal imo. Michael Johnson I would've had. I was reading they are looking into buying another winger which might mean he drops down the pecking order. Plus his relationship with the the club/Mancini doesnt look great. He is top drawer though so that rules us out. Michael Johnson wouldnt be a good loan deal. He'll struggle to make the Leicester XI. I said towards the end of the season that our two main targets this summer should of been Adam Johnson and Daniel Sturridge. Two quality young english lads, one of which is a toon fan and both would have instantly made our side a top 8 side this season. Shame that this board dont have the ambition to go for the likes of these, im happy with what we have brought in but its still 2 or 3 shy of what we need. Loans may well be the answer late in the window, we shouldnt have to be relying on that though. I still think theres a chance we will see a bit more money spent, especially once Jose and Barton leave. When that happens we really ought to be looking a replacing both of them AND bring in a striker. Im willing to wait until September 1st to make a final judgement. Thats D-Day for Ashley like....If it doesnt end well then i will in fact be part of any protest.
  17. I reckon we will line up like this... ---Krul--- Simpson---Taylor---Coloccini---Dummet/Tavernier Jonas---Cabaye--Gosling---Marveaux Shola---Ba Will be good to see what our brand is like this year, they all should be 100% and raring to go. 1st game at St James Park this season and i'd imagine they want to make an impression. Fiorentina are a good test. A chance to have a look at Dummet and Tavernier at left back who have been pretty good in pre-season, also another chance for Vuckic to push closer to the 1st team, after all he is our top scorer in preseason. Be a good run out.
  18. Alex....im sticking with the positivity........for now
  19. As it stands... Out: Nolan 3mil Routledge 2mil Enrique 10mil 15mil... In: Cabaye 4.3mil Ba Apx 3mil sign on fees Marveaux Apx 3mil sign on fees Abeid 750k 11mil... I fully expect us to shell out on a LB which will probably take us into a + net spend. Cant see us gettin anywhere close to a 15mil+ net spend that i predicted. Still...theres still time to go get Obertan 3mil and Sturridge 10mil
  20. have you learnt nothing from milner/carroll/nolan/given/zog the fee is utterly irrelevant because it wont come back into the team. you dont half talk some shit Man your an idiot. 10mil is better than 6mil. Simples. Whether it is spent or not is another thing completely. He isnt taken money out the club so it still is going to be benefiting the club financially. I think we mite be lined up for a sale. M'Bengue has some promising writeups on the interwebs...We'll probably end up with Warnock. M'Bengue would be my 1st choice for sure. I'd be happy with any of the others though....Dont want Ferguson at LB however.
  21. Has he signed for them then? Cant find any reputable sources stating a deal has been done. If true then im happy with 10mil, we were resigned to losing him but would of prefered him to of went abroad. Who would you be happy with as a replacement? Its gonna be one of 5 like...M'Bengue, Warnock, Bridge, Shorey or our very own Ferguson (which i'd be pissed off with).
  22. Its lookin that way craig....not good at all. Some can call me up on wantin to be positive, its just the way i am. In all honesty though this has really fucked me off though. I dont get it at all. I just hope that all this streamlining and getting wages brought down as well as not spending much is lining us up to be sold in the near future. Probably clutching at straws now though. Kitman...Fuck off man....Just saying what looks likely to be our midfield for our first game. That said....I fully expect Tiote and Jose to put transfer requests in now. Possibly even Jonas, Coloccini and Barfa.
  23. Pissed me right off this has. Fuckin idiots. They really had a chance to build on last season, summer started well with a few promising signings and now its slipping back into the fuckin same old shit. Its gonna take a pretty BIG QUALITY signing to make up for this shit. Barton is no angel though, i do like him and i like his honesty but if you openly go about criticising your employer no matter how shit they are you are gonna get fuckin pedalled like. From the clubs point of view though....FREE TRANSFER?!? What the fuck!? I can only think the club want his 75k pw wage off the book and his outspoken attitude out the dressing room. Midfield for Arsenal now then... Marveaux---Tiote---Cabaye---Jonas Wheres there options off the bench now then?
