I think has a point like. I for one would sell him if we got a solid 4mil bid from someone like Birmingham or Fulham who have been linked with him. He was superb on friday, always wanted the ball, only gave it away once i think, everything else he done was quality. Kept it simple at times, opened it up when needed, a few nice diagonal balls and a good strike on him. Not sure if he is going to be a "deep lying playmaker" though, looking at his clips from when he was at lille he breaks forward quite a bit and gets into the box too. If he was half the player Rob Lee was then i'd be very happy. Cant wait to see him in the league....like its been said...i too think he will take the PL by storm.

Leon Best should not be sold. Simples. He shown last year with 6 in 10 that he is capable. Bad players rarely score hat-tricks in the PL. He should be kept well above Lovenkrands, Xisco and Ranger. I'd be happy to have Best and Shola as backup to Ba, Ben Arfa and hopefully a new striker.

Was there tonight and thought it was a pretty good atmosphere. I was sat in the home end and was getting some looks like but why hold back Our boys were noisey as fuck as per and you wouldnt of thought it was a pre season friendly. Started the game well, popped the ball around with intent and actually looked pretty sharp. Best and Barfa should of had a couple each. Barfa and Cabaye hit a couple of decent long distance shots too. Barfa got through 70 mins or so, looked fit but obviously a bit short of sharpness on the ball. Cabaye looks neat and tidy and always wanted it. Only player who started the game who was poor was Simpson imo. Vuckic doesnt look the player he's been made out to be. Sameobi looks twice the player as Ranger...even in the warm up too. Got to give a mention to Abeid....the lad looks good! Took control of our midfield in the second half. Also...Smith looked good...Then again it was darlo.

To be honest though with only Nolan out and Cabaye, Ba and Marveaux in we do have a BIGGER squad but only just. Its by no mean a big squad though. Harper, Krul, Forster. Simpson, Raylor, Saylor, Williamson, Enrique. Ben Arfa, Barton, Jonas, Marveaux, Cabaye, Tiote, Gosling. Ba, Shola, Best, Lovenkrands and Ranger. Thats a 1st team pool of 20, you then have youngster like Kadar, Ferguson, Vuckic, Lua Lua and Airey who have got 1st team minutes last season and are likely to do so this season as well as other younsters coming through like Sameobi, Richardson, Folan, Tavernier and Abeid. Taking them into consideration gives us a squad of 30 but in actual fact its only really Ferguson who has a big chance of being involved with Vuckic and Kadar outsiders. Fact of the matter is....a 1st team pool of 20 isnt big, however if we get these 2 new signings in we will be nearer the 25 which i would consider a big squad.

If we get him for about 8-9mil then i'd say we arent too much worse off than when we sold him and got Raylor. Raylor for me is a decent squad player. I think we are still interested in him but relations between Ashley and Whelen arent going to help a deal being done. Plus i think FMA and DL are thinking if they leave it late in the window they mite get N'Zogbia cheaper. Another club having a bid accepted may push things along however. If we got charlie then for me Jonas gets dropped and Marveaux will start his NUFC career from the bench. N'Zogbia---Tiote---Cabaye---Barton With Ben Arfa and Ba infront, as it stands. Jonas, Gosling and Marveaux being much better options off the bench than last season.

Exactly. Absolutely. In my opinion he is our most important player, in turn making him our most valuable player and if Chelsea or anyone else came in with a 15mil bid i'd tell them to fuck off. Carroll goes for 35mil, Henderson 20mil and so on....Tiote is worth 25mil for sure. If a 25mil came in then that WOULD be extremely hard to turn down and i would imagine FMA would cash in. I however see Tiote as far more important than Carroll ever was, he is the heart of our midfield, our team and how we play. Then again Pardew could be thinking of playing Barton and Cabaye in the middle with Jonas and Marveaux on the wings. Would work but wouldnt be anywhere as effective as having Tiote in the side. NOT FOR SALE. Simples.

Heads up on if we bring him in seeing as we were interested 6 months ago and now he is on a free? LM...i get what your saying but the PL is ever becoming more and more "european" and so long as they speak english and can communicate and mix in then i dont really see it as a problem. I'd still like to see a english/foreign ratio at the club and across the PL of about 3:2 but i dont think thats gonna happen anytime soon unless FIFA extend the european compition regulations into domestic too.

Yes, i do hope we shift all of them out come the start of next season and yes i do hope we replace them with quality. Quality being one or two talented youngsters with potential, promoting from within and maybe one or two experienced strikers. Think about it....if we get rid of them all....and lets just talk about the striking department here....we'd have... Ba, Ben Arfa, Airey and Vuckic...We would be shockingly short and reliant on youngsters alone to challenge Ba and Ben Arfa....That said though, I'd imagine that come next season a fair few other quality strikers will have come available and yes i would hope that our club would want to continue to progress.
