Selling Almiron even without signing a replacement/upgrade is pretty a gamble the club has to make in regards to PSR. We need to make money from sales to balance losses from transfer fees. The sale of Almiron was overdue and the chances to get decent money for him diminishing. Even though it’s not being ideal in case Murphy gets injured or his purple patch ending we will still have the likes of Gordon, Barnes as well as Joelinton who can play there if really needed. I don’t think that we will sign a player just for the sake of it.

He was the first bright spark for a long time when he signed for us. His ability often didn’t match his efforts but he was still a lot better than a lot fans said. They will move on to a different scapegoat though.
