We look too frightened. Typical performance at their place
-
I have done all those places some years ago. I thought it might be a nice walk along the coast up north.
-
Ok, I will stay in Whitley from Thursday to Monday. One day I will probably walk along the coast to Blyth or further, Are there any good places for sea food to recommend? Any other things I should do or go to? I have done the obvious stuff (Lindisfarne, Bamburgh€

I hope Oliver knew perfectly well what he was doing.

A winning equaliser in the 7th minute of 5 minutes of extra time. There is a god.
-
Meh, at least Liverpool got rattled a bit.
-
What a shame Exeter are crap with penalties.
-
It’s their only chance to redeem themselves this season. I hope their minds will be focused on beating Real.
-
Thanks for the invitation, much appreciated.
-
Well, I’ve booked flights and will likely stay in Whitley Bay for a couples of nights unless anything else comes up.
-
I won’t be looking for anything daft in the city centre as I will probably end up standing among a bunch of bellends. Was thinking about a decent pub or something similar more remote, maybe Jesmond or even further. Meeting up for a pint on the Saturday sounds like a brilliant plan though. I will wear my best leather trousers to get easily recognised.

Thanks. I have actually used both when being in Newcastle, although last time was about 8 years ago. But I don’t think the Tories have destroyed your country so much that the busses and trains stopped running.

After having seen how politics evolved over the last ten years I am very sceptical about the application of common sense among a large proportion of voters. Of course Farage isn’t in power but he is still able to promote xenophobia and persuade people about the benefits of winning back sovereignty. Conservatives were able to stay in power for quite some time despite things have been getting worse in the UK for quite some time. You do also have to keep in mind the huge differences in voting systems which enabled Labour to win a majority in the UK and has kept the AfD out of government so far in Germany. The US is totally different and with the simple choice between red and blue it is far easier to make propaganda work especially when you basically are in control of major social media as well as influential TV stations. Unless Trump is causing a catastrophic famine dome people being worse off financially won’t make up for their belief in things being worse under the control of a government controlled “communists”, gays, blacks et al. I certainly won’t hold my breath in things and voting getting back to normal soon.
-
I am afraid that is exactly how propaganda works when it is not just about normal politics but foremost about ideology. This is why Farage is still making a living out of telling blatant lies. Or people in the eastern part of Germany voting for far right parties.
-
They will just tell their voters that they are better off and as fiction is more important than facts the dumb mass will be happy with it.

The scary thing is that there are enough nutters there to take up these jobs throwing all principles and decency overboard

Fluently speaking in tongues, doesn’t make a difference to the rest of her drivel though

She is a total mega-maga-fruitloop

Will have a look at it once I have booked the flights. Seems decent. I have stayed in Gateshead before, can’t remember the name of the hotel though. just as with almost any other hotel I stayed in over the years. Well apart from the Royal Station, but I would rather sleep in the streets than going there at a weekend again. Wouldn’t be much of a difference anyway.
-
Not necessarily, have been staying in all sort places (including South Shields). Might end up in Whitley Bay or thereabouts.
-
I am now waiting for the majority of PL clubs agreeing on a ban of Wham hoodies tbh.

I am thinking about coming to Newcastle for the cup final as I haven’t been up for ages and might enjoy a couple of days whatever the result will be. Any recommendations where to stay. I don’t want to spend a fortune for a room where I will only spend the nights or get rid of the hangover.

Aye, and now I know what a shit place Aylesbury is, brilliant staff at the train station though, answering my phone in the middle of the night.
