What the hell was attractive about Robert? He looks like the bleeding village idiot. Stick him in a jester costume and get him to do that silly dance he did when he scored and he'd look the part. 26603 You really don't like him, eh. Did he turn you down or what made you so bitter?

Well mine is staying for the time being 26393 And if I donate 10 quid?

Unluckyyyyyyyy!! 26370 Strange what some people do to avoid a cold turkey...

Is there any chance that we can restrict the size of signatures. Those huge pictures some people have are bloody annoying to be honest. An option to turn off signatures would do it for me, too.

Spanish lad that I work with (who knows his football) reckons Luque operates best on the left but can work as a striker if asked to. 26363 I don't want to dispute this. From what I have seen of him (though not very much) he didn't look like an out and out winger. And he is better when going forward then when he has a burden of defensive work to do.

Not like me to be the pessimistic one. 26358 Did Renton and you mix up medications? Will we see Renton posting some upbeat endorsements regarding the manager now?

Souness is a poor manager, but he is also a canny bloke. Most times I enjoy his interviews. Now if he found a teacher explaining him the need for tactics and fitness training he probably would become a superb manager. He probably should apply for one of these courses where you get your coaching badges...
-
Though, I am not sure if Luque is used best in a wide position. He is more a striker than a winger and using him as deep as last Sunday would be a great waste of his talent. On the other hand, we don't have any wide left player at all...
-
I do give Souness credit for it. Though, I do think that 80% of the users of this forum would have been able to identify Owen, Parker, Emre, Luque and Solano as great improvements to the squad. Sorry, but with the big sums splashed out Souness also bought himself big expectations. Over the next 5-6 "easy" games he has to start collecting points, because with this team he can't settle with a transition season anymore. No, and 3000-nil won't be enough if the team keeps on playing hoof-the-ball-style of football...

He passed this award to Aaron Hughes anyway. 26131 Don't get carried away, Hughes is only the best defender in the world 26137 Bollocks. His versatility is second to none. He would make a fantastic international 'keeper for Kiribati for example. 26143 isegrim can you post that pic without the text? Im desperate to have that back as my desktop here at work! 26156 http://www.officialplayersites.com/players.../multimedia.php

I think that is the fate of the Dutch league. They are a feeder league for the rest of Europe. IIRC Philipps cut down their financial support for PSV so they also have to acquire money. Big players normally only move out of the Dutch league, not into...

That would be a very lame excuse. 26037 It's true though. Tbh, you wouldn't compare the Liverpool sides in the 70's and 80's to Chelsea now... or would you? This knowing the defence of the opponents was much worse, with no foreigners playing. 26147 And what? Other teams have improved, so has Newcastle. And we are talking about a period of four years, not several decades. Signing the likes of Luque and Michael Owen and then say that teams like Bolton have become better is utter nonsense in my opinion. The ambition has to be challenging for a CL place . And that's what even Souness himself said yesterday. By this standard has he to be judged now, starting at the game against Fulham.

"Look into my eyes, the eyes, the eyes, don't look around the eyes......" 26119 Ollie Bernard: "Dont' push it."

Or if Faye will be sold in January... Wacka Wacka indeed. 26051 LOVING the avatar. Especially as it doesn't have to have 'Save Nobby' on it anymore. 26052 I would have edited the old one by crossing the "Save" part out, but unfortunately lost all my old data after a computer crash.

The team that SBR lifted from midtable mediocrity into the Championsleague: Given Hughes-Dabizas/O'Brien-Distin-Elliot Solano-Dyer/Lee-Speed-Robert Bellamy-Shearer The team Souness has now: Given Carr-Bramble/Taylor-Boumsong-Babayaro Solano/Dyer-Parker/Bowyer-Emre-Luque Shearer-Owen

As I read this morning that he'd signed I couldn't help thinking his sale was the first major sign for me that Bobby was losing it. His reasons were shite and the crap about "We have players who can play there" seemed out of step with his previously excellent crack. The post-match bullshit seemed to appear more and more after that. 26023 I agree. He started losing the support from this moment. What before was gospel became drivel. His post match interviews weren't funny any more and started to be embarrassing. And playing Bowyer in Nobby's position just topped it for me...

What increased the average length of his passes in that game to 4.67 yards.

Is there any chance we can make an offer for Rafa Benitez now as well...

I only ate their once, barkeeper was a canny bloke with whom I was talking very long about KKs spell in Germany. 25491 tall skinny guy ? 25572 It was a couple of years ago so I can't really remember but I would rather say "well built" from my memory.
