1. says the lad from Moss Side. 62125 It's not like I spend my time quaffing pimms in Moss Side......Manchester definitely has its shithole suburbs I agree (Longsight/Moss Side/Hulme) it's just at least Manchester's dodgy suburbs have the redeeming feature of being attached to a decent city. Unlike Nottingham. What the fuck is actually in Nottingham anyways? I'm subscribing to Gemmill's homo theory. Though he does have tendency to apply that to just about any argument at some point I have to concede. 62136 Makes you wonder what's in his head when he always twists topics to his homo theories... [/Freud]
2. Graeme can do no wrong in my eyes. If he'd said that it would have been fine with me. 62096 Well of course, you're looking into his eyes every time you look in the mirror, Graeme. 62098 If only. *swoon* 62099 Is he well endowed? Actually, strike that comment off. This thread is already one of the worst in existence. 62101 I've read somewhere that a bully is usually compensating for a shortcoming elsewhere. Make of that as you will. 62103 Bet he drives a sportscar too. 62105 Like a retard, I bet. 62107 Now don't go upsetting Gemmill. 62109 You two are just jealous of what Graeme and I have got going together. 62111 So any inside information about the average size of male Scot's genitalia? We already covered black men and Chinese in this thread...
3. Yep there was clearly a division between him and his team mates that was multiplying the problems. Add to it the fact that he didn't look match fit...
4. Nah, it's Gemmill who is obsessed with posting as much Robert stuff as he can. And with him being constantly in denial it probably is that our ginger robot didn't get the French kissing by Robert he so desperately wanted...
5. It was me who got called a prick tbh ... by that fat ginger racist (i.e. stereotypist).
6. Saying black men have big cocks is stereotyping. It's not racism. Just admit you were wrong man you big gay stripey cat. 61937 Well to distinguish between stereotyping and racism is a bit dodgy tbh.
7. ... the google image search isn't that difficult too handle...
8. I totally agree. The whole point of signing "turkish players" is racist, and odd, to say the least, but then again, Souness is such a fuckwit nothing surprises me. Personally, I don't give a flying fuck if someone is blue and has pink hair so long as he plays well for Newcastle United. 61776 Eh? 61838 It is racist in a way. He's stereotyping an entire nation which, as LM has said, is really quite odd, and patently bollocks. If he had said he only wants to sign English or Scottish players I'm sure you can see there might be a problem. Not really racist, just incredibly stupid tbh. 61861 It's not racist in the slightest tbh. 61869 So stereotyping people by their nationality/race isn't in the slightest bit racist, is it not? What if he had sterotyped them in a negative way, like most turks smell? 61886 Jesus Christ Renton. People say they like the bulldog spirit/never say die attitude about English players. Is that racist? Nope. 61887 I said what he said was slightly racist, but more important it is just complete bollocks. Just like the "bull dog spirit" of the English tbh. 61891 Gemmill is mixing it up with the "bull dog looks" of the English anyway.
9. He thinks he's got an ace up his sleeve in Shearer man. He'll call the press conference and announce Shearer as the new boss, and sit there with that sluglike smile on his face assuming that we're all wetting ourselves at the prospect of a Geordie manager. 61868 Gemmill, as the saying goes: you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. (summit like that ) The people aren't going to be fooled if Shearer is appointed as the next manager; they will just keep their money in their pocket and wait for things to happen imo, instead of splashing out more in hope that something will. If Shearer is indeed Portly Freddie's 'ace up his sleeve' I think he has got it wrong big time. 61875 You just watch mate. The majority of people will be swept along in a tide of optimism, firstly at the fact that Souness is gone, and secondly at the "new Messiah" in charge. We'll have the usual pack of numptys on SSN going "Aye, Sheara is ganna be a legend lyk. Wa ganna win the league" and the season ticket applications will pour in for "the new era". 61878 Smoggeordie has to get house arrest then.
10. Edinburgh is still my prefered destination. Obviously Nottingham can't match Barcelona. But I am unfortunately not (only) going there for a holiday. In that case there would be no choice... The thing is that I think Nottingham would still be the more sensible choice, but I can get those pictures of the hot senoritas at Las Ramblas out of my head...
11. Just wait. I think there is enough material in this topic to become another anti-Souness thread...
12. Points from games with Owen in the team: 13 Without Owen: 5 So what seperates us from being relegation material...
13. I haven't heard from Eversheds yet...
14. We all know he is selfish and is talking shite like a little bairn. Though, when reading his interviews as they were published on his website in his mother tongue and as they were translated (first by Teena and later by O-Nut) and published on nufc.com you have to be a fool not to spot the difference of what the tabloid made of of these interviews and what he really said. I remember those times we were taking the piss out of what the tabloids could make out of these interviews... I still want to get pointed to only one interview he did that did Newcastle really harm ... in his time as a Newcastle player. Especially the one when he got banned from the first team against Lisbon. Who was more selfish that time? The manager or Robert? 61720 Well I personally can't be arsed to go searching through Laurent Robert's whiny interviews. But I remember him getting on my tits with his victim act on numerous occasions while he was at Newcastle. A bit of professionalism from the bloke wouldn't go amiss. Looks like his career at Pompey is over now too - who's the common denominator in all of this? 61723 Well, I actually don't care about his interviews (or of those of any professionals). I only read them to amuse myself. But what I don't like is when words get twisted by the press. And the tabloids have a history with it. They have a xenophobic agenda (but they also do it with certain English players). I only judge players by their football talking. Robert was far from being consistent. And his contribution at Portsmouth does speak for itself. But what counts for me is what he did at Newcastle. And I think with Robert in the team Newcastle were a better team than they are now. If this whiny, selfish Frenchman would have been replaced by a hardworking and as creative player I wouldn't give a toss what he is doing now. Today I saw Newcastle being overrun in the second half by a very mediocre Premiership side. And I am f***ing annoyed. 61729 His contribution at Newcastle "spoke for itself" in the year or so leading up to his departure too. The bloke is finished in this country unless he has a serious word with himself. It's a shame because he's a great player when he wants to be. 61731 I do not disagree. Shame we couldn't replace him with someone better so far (unless you see Luque as a right (i.e. left) w(h)inger ... tbh.
15. The thing is I am a very shy person. And when not really having to work I probably will stick to museums etc. and not really going to talk to anyone. Those three months could bre realy boring then. In England I could easily get myself drunk and talk to anybody...

17. Next summer I will work for three months abroad in a big law firm. I do try to get a job at a firm in Edinburgh, but I was relying on my qualifications but it is more difficult than I thought. Anyway, I still have the option to go to Nottingham as a backup as there is a law firm for whose partner I worked here in Jormany. But on Friday this law firm offered me the chance to go to Barcelona as they have an office there. This was added with a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge..." basically meaning they wouldn't expect me to do real work over there. Unfortunately my Spanish is really, really crap. Actually it is really, really, really crap. I only can follow the newspaper and that's more or less only the sports section (because I know the names of the players). I'd like to work in England because actually I could see my future working at a university over there (teaching European and Jorman law). On the other side three months in Barcelona for doing nothing and just learning the language sounds too good to be true... I really have to make my mind up...

George Best

Who else was in stitches when seeing the minute of silence and the Everton scoreboard with the big George Best picture... with the adverts "Chang beer" all around... :

20. "He told the News of the World...". That was enough for me actually. After having read so many wrong translated interviews (not only concerning Robert, more importantly in the "political" section as well) I don't believe a single word I read in this piece of shit!
21. Contrary to the impression I might give, but I am absolutely devasteted whenever Newcastle loses. The only small consolation I always get is that I think that at some stage the board has to realise that they made a big, big mistake when giving the job to the most important person at the club... I think todays feelings are those we have to suffer until the end of the season.
22. While we are at it... Anal's quotes on Emre's hearing: "It is understood FIFA is interviewing only those players who were allegedly involved in the bust-up in the tunnel and it is hard to imagine Emre was one of them, unless it was as a peacemaker. For he has been the perfect gentleman both on and off the field since he arrived from Inter Milan in the summer for £4.5m.! Hmm, strange that the FIFA official and the international press are thinking differently...
23. I blame the pitch. Or the studs. Or the referee. Or the baggage retrieval they got at Heathrow...
24. Hooray more anti-french bollocks in a xenophobic Sunday "news"paper. Now I know where fat ginger bastard Gemill got his education from... BTW: Ronaldo got cleared because of the lack of evidence (just in case the NOTW didn't tell you)...
