Well that was shite. There was this glorious article on tyne-squawk describing the positive things Souness has done and once against saying he sorted out the defence by pointing at the clean sheets. What those people seem to forget that Souness sorted out the opposite defences as well. 9th game without scoring! Nearly no chance created at all - Shola's miss was hilariius and makes me cringe as he is most likely to be the one to replace Owen in the coming weeks (if he is really out for a longer time)...
-
They won the cup in 92 IIRC. 94-96 must have been a hard trophyless slog for you though. 72282 I blame Souness tbh.
-
Well, I'm rarely defending Souness, but I can't see what was wrong with his statements. Owen's goals are his job insurance and the statement that defenders must be scared of playing against such a prolific is banal. But it's good to see the S*n making a bif fuss ("I hate Sou") about absolutely nothing...

That's what annoys me about FM2006 in general - the effect of team moral. You win a couple of game and you are going on a long streak, but as soon as you lose 3-4 games in a row, I find it nearly impossible to turn the fortunes...

Christmas is the time of the year for the idiots that only get out once a year to make bellends of themselves like. 71135 Yep, fair play to those guys who don't need Christmas to demonstrate they are fools...

We all knew that Newcastle would have had no choice when the decision came down to Liverpool or Newcastle. That's why the fat controller had to price Liverpool out of the market.

My biggest fear about Shearer prolonging his career was that he missed the right time to bow out and losing respect. That's why I wasn't exstatic about him delaying his retirement last year. Fans have already started turning against him and I feel the only thing he can offer these days is his commitment as against Arsenal. Footballwise he probably rather becomes a liability (well not as long as the likes of Ameobi and Chopra are the alternatives). I'd wished for him that he had got the chance last season to bow out with a cup win. Anyway, I think Souness is just fearing that Shearer could be lined up as his replacement...

Just to make sure that this thread doesn't die... http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcast...-name_page.html So Gemmill is not only bumming Graeme Souness but also Anal Oliver's soul mate. Honestly, I would shoot myself if I were him...

Chicken tbh 70741 Are you having xmas dinner with the smug twat like? 70747 Was a reference to 'choking' the chicken tbh. I wouldnt have dinner with him like, you wouldnt get so much as a fucking mouthful. 70748 Who could say 'no' to a christmas dinner of tinned spaghetti and a bottle of Lambrusco... 70807 Two words: Pickled. Cabbage. 70816 Ah is that your christmas dinner? Nobody would eat that in Jormany on Christmas day. Now I know where the name "boxing day" is coming from ... spending the whole day at the thunderbox...

I think a can of spaghetti is the right medicine...

I think the way ManUre worked their way up was seen as more honest. Same as a self-made millionaire probably has a higher reputation than someone who is inheriting money. What harm Chelsea do? As said, they can afford to work on a non-profit base. They can offer clubs and players money no other club can cope with. In business that are signs of a monopoly.

Give me fish and chips over pickled cabbage any day. 70450 You can be a right twat sometimes. 70452 And a charv who says he loves Italian food but is eating tinned spaghetti...

The Americans always used to make me laugh when they had a go at English food. The country famous for the hamburger and hot dog and over-seasoned everything. German food is rank as well! The only thing Americans are good at is sandwiches. FACT. 70433 I am just curious, what German food did you eat so far... 70436 Well what is there? I couldn't find anything in Berlin (other than sausages), although the supermarkets were full of vile things. 70438 There is nothing like certain traditional food. It varies very much. This cabbage thing is nonsense as the brand "national dish" is more a historical than an actual one. "Sauerkraut" was poor man's food as it could be easily stored in the pre-fridge times and consist a lot of vitamin C (that's why it was also used at sea). I think most Jorman's eat it less than once a year. It is probably mostly eaten by stupid tourists... Nothing can beat the mediteran kitchen IMHO, but I don't think there is much difference in the vileness of "traditional" Jorman and English food.

Which pretty much covers the whole range tbh. 70439 Yep, as much as jellied eel in England...

I won't eat any beans but Heinz. None of your strange flavoured ones either, just plain old-fashioned Heinz beans. 70371 I'm not a big bean eater tbh, but it's Heinz only for me an'all. If you want something on toast though, you should look no further than Heinz tinned spaghetti. Much nicer than beans. 70384 Tinned spaghetti? Sounds like charver-food for people who are too thick to cook themselves... 70398 Yep, and he's already admitted going to the Monkey. Bet he's got a Burberry hat. Seriously though, he means spaghetti in a tomato sauce, pretty shit food still. But no worse than what you Jormans eat mind. 70402 Yep, that what we eat all day, Sauerkraut at breakfast, lunch and dinner... and on Christmas it's Sauerkraut with Sauerkraut...

Playing way above his ability together with Acuna once again Arsenal. Still the best performance from a central midfield I have seen from a Newcastle pair in recent years...

Well, this seems to be roaring along quite nicely. 69995 To be fair, it was me that pointed the billows in the direction of the burning ember that is Renton. 70031 Homoerotic tbh. 70034 Aye but Renton loves that sort of thing. 70036 Yes, but he is just interested in Chinese men and not in people 'hung like a Chinese mouse'...

I see your 'Bring back Robert' and raise a 'bring back Craig Bellamy' 69984 I see your 'bring back Craig Bellamy' after my 'Bring back Robert' and raise a 'If Souness reads this I fear for his health' 69989 And I'll raise you a 'shave Terry Mac's tache' 69990 Or just sack him...
