You still like him as a person though, right? 74600 Actually not, the more I think about it. He came across as a decent bloke when he was doing the first radio interview and on a couple of other occasions. I probably got fooled as it was the only decent thing I could say about him...

He is a f***ing coward and a liar. Never duck a fight bla bla most attacking minded manager bla bla only believe in proper characters bla bla has nothing done wrong bla bla injuries bla bla lady luck bla bla

Alcoholism, allegedly. 74537 Physioroom says 'Hamstring - no return date set' 74541 He fell down the stairs when he got a beer crate out of the cellar the other day. 74549 Or did it running for last orders. 74555 I blame the government.

His number 2, the guy from Real Madrid who's name escapes me, will take over when Ferguson goes methinks. 74538 I think if he packs it in this summer, I put my money on Hitzfeld who is a very close friend of old whiskeynose.

I do. As long as he isn't turning up in a Newcastle shirt on a football pitch everything is fine by me. Yes, and I know how sad this is as it means the current two stooges are allowed to keep on doing whatever they do.
-
AO is running this story, too. Can't see anything in it. Allardyce is not really distancing himself from the job, just saying he won't say anything as long as the current tosser is still in charge.

Dirty fucking bastard. 74466 So you'll not want to hear my recipe for homemade tomato ketchup then? 74477 Homemade brown sauce too while you're at it 74478

The defence are primarily responsible for the ball coming straight back to them because of the crap long balls they keep pumping up the pitch. It's as if they've never met the midfield half the time. Tiggy on high with a football tbh. 74485 That's something I blame both Robson and Souness for. Especially Bramble is terrible (though I don't know what happened if Bramble tried more short passes on the ground ). Under Robson I thought it was down to a holding midfielder missing who would work as the link between defence and midfield and taking the ball forward. But neither Butt nor Parker have been able to do that. Souness comes always up that the team has to stick together and be united. I would be more than happy if the team for the first time for ages would work as a unit, i.e. being able to pass the ball to each other by giving the one with the ball options. So even when not signing anybody the playing style should be addressed immidiately.

From what I've heard if I bring a baby harness I could strap you into it, shrimpy. 74450 Don't get excited, I won't suck on your tits...

In case I attend another piss-up in the future. What are the venues when Gemmill and Geordie Fish are both turning up so that everybody finds room? The Metro Radio Arena? The facilities of Swan Hunter?

As someone else (can't remember who) said a couple of days ago. Winning ugly is one thing, but losing ugly is horrible. I think it is all about the feel good factor. The Keegan times were fantastic as they produced entertainment and wins and nearly the trophy. I am a total football mong myself. Though, as a Jorman I am probably a bit more used to the feeling how it is to win trophies in an unspectular way. Even if it is a bit rich, but I think trophies are overrated.

Jesus wept...imagine the chips to go with that !!! 74213 Rumours say it's what Gemmill considers as a decent snack.

Good article from the Telegraph: http://sport.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jh...05/sfntay05.xml

Nah, not enough cabbage recipes for my liking...

Remembering that I was arguing with him about his senseless posts the days before the Wigan game... Now, Gemmill come over from the dark side, you know the force is with you...

The more I hear and read from him the more I think the tosser is a bloody coward. He can't take any criticism at all. Even if he is right about some criticism labeled at him being not totally fair he still has to admit that when the team is struggling in midtable mediocrity and playing crap football. SBR's post match reactions were becoming more and more puzzling, but the comments from Souness about the crap his team is producing defies any reality - that is when he commenting at all. He only beliefs in 'proper' players with the right fighting attitude, now he himself goes into hiding when he is faced criticism or just comes up with excuses after excuses for his shortcomings. It's always the others, it's never himself. Thinking of him having problems to put up a midfield against mighty Mansfield on Saturday I remember the last time when Newcastle went into a FA Cup tie with serious injury problems. That night Acuna and McClen (who nowadays can't get a game at Carlisle) had to face an Arsenal side at his best and more than matched it.

Ah, cheers for that. That's positive news to me...

I was just looking at the old back up board for it. The say when we appointed him was that he signed a five year contract. I remembered how I moaned about it that time because I would never give a manager a longer contract than two years.
-
I hope Newcastle take a leaf out of Chelsea's book of signing players. They can easily afford everybody but signing Maniche on a loan deal. So if there aren't enough transfer funds available or Fat Fred doesn't want to give the tosser any more money then we should at least try to agree similar deals.

In the absence of N-O I was flicking through the message of Tyne-Squawk. Comedy gold.

Hmm, if you are struggling with text I'll use pictures...

74172 Certainly cheered me up, the deluded prick. 74174 I knew. But thank you for cheering me up by reading your posts at the old backup-board.

Just to cheer up the Robert-haters: this is taken from uefa.com:

For the umpteenth time: I said that Souness needed time to prove himself one way or the other. He's used that time to prove that he isn't good enough. Which doesn't make me wrong because he still needed that time to prove his inadequacy in his role as manager of Newcastle United (not Liverpool, Blackburn, or any other club he may have been at in the past). It was simply the true, 100% correct statement that "A new manager needs time to prove himself" that makes me RIGHT and not WRONG. FACTARAMA. 73891 Gemmill, you were wrong because you thought he was the man for the job when he came here. That is all I am saying, just admit you were wrong on that aspect and I will never bring it up again. 73902 If that's true, then yes, Gemmill is wrong. Can't actually remember anyone thinking Souness was the man for the job though 73911 NJS and Ally were the only ones IIRC. Though the latter should have given Gemmill a hint that it was utter nonsense to give him time... 73919 http://s7.invisionfree.com/toonchat/index.php?showtopic=215
