  1. People are getting far too melodramatic again tbh. I thought yesterday’s performance was rather poor, but just because of the mentality and focus not because of tactics and lack of talent or fitness. We lacked intensity and accuracy, but that’s it. Recent performances proved that the same set of players is capable of totally different quality.
  2. XGed my arse. This rubbish does nothing to explain team play and how well those missed chances were created. As well for sticking with the game plan. Wilson and Murphy came on in the 68th minute, 15 minutes after they had scored their second and with West Ham already dominating the game and us getting gradually worse every minute. The game plan already had stopped working for some time. Players were all over the place the whole game tbh. Our positional awareness (triangles and this shit) was very poor quite often yesterday, especially on our right side. As much as I really like Tino but he too often has no awareness when to go on the overlap and when to drift inside. We probably lacked a player like Trippier yesterday able to give instructions on the pitch and make other aware of mistakes.
  3. I totally disagree with this as well tbh. He had to bring on someone at halftime with Willock being injured. Both Gordon and Joelinton weren’t having good games on either wing despite trying to fix things by them switching sides. Getting Barnes on and playing Joelinton in the centre to try to boss the midfield was a logical thing tbh. The other substitutions came after them punishing us a second time. Again getting Tonali on for Longstaff to get a bit more of an impetus from central midfield looked like the right idea to me as well considering how the game was going. The same goes for switching two 4-4-2 to keep Isak and Wilson on the field as well as getting on Murphy to feeding Wilson with balls into the box. This loss is down to the players not playing with the right mentality but not to poor tactics or substitutions. If Howe is to blame for not being focused enough is a different question though. Motivation doesn’t seem to be his strength tbh.
  4. I am not saying we weren’t the better team but think that we just looked ok'ish at best. We certainly got enough chances to score and I don’t think West Ham would have won then. But the mentality and the focus were already all wrong in the first half imho. There was hardly any structure in our attacking movement and a lot of the passing was wayward. That’s why West Ham got into the game despite looking very ordinary at best in the first half.
  5. 2-1 to us, Isak and Joelinton otherwise it will be a 4-0 to them with Pardew scoring all four and doing a 'fanks Mike‘ dance celebration before headbutting Mad Dog
  6. I thought that even the chances we created weren’t really coming from fluid moves but rather the ball ending up at one of our players in decent positions by chance. Our final balls lacked accuracy quite often and apart from two short spells we weren’t really putting West Ham under real pressure. I really must have seen a different match than most today.
  7. I think the subs were sensible on paper but all players just didn’t turn up with a performance of any sort.
  8. I have been much less critical with performances than most on here in recent times but today the mentality of nearly every player was piss poor. I am really pissed off because we wasted another decent chance to get ourselves in a decent position. We were unlucky against Everton and Brighton but today was just not acceptable.
  9. I thought the performance in the first half was already far too half arsed with us only looking ok because West Ham just looking to scrape it. We only showed a bit of intensity early on in the second half but their 2nd killed off any momentum. I just can’t get why we can’t find the right focus in those games we are expected to turn up with a good performance against weaker teams.
  10. Writings were on the wall in the first half. We could play until midnight and West Ham already being on the way home but not score.
  11. Really? We got some chances but overall I thought our performance looked a bit lacklustre. Okish but far from the level I did expect after recent games.
  12. And quite some time wasting as well. But with Pawson I was surprised it was even three minutes. Players need some rockets up their arses at half time tbh.
