It's rude to smoke near people who are eating end of. Even as a smoker if soemone does that while I'm eating with people I give them a piece of my mind (as long as they're not too big and scary). when was the last time you were in a pub and someone wasn't eating? virtually every pub has converted to food service to survive, so the only case you are left with is busy pubs while on a night out, and has already been said, smokers are now in the minority, so why impose your smoke on the majority?

translated: no one wants Dyer, at least he's flexible and I can pretend to still need him with the odd start here and there while he runs down his contract
