  1. I think he's convinced himself it is. He's rewriting history himself. It's supposed to only be the victorious who get to write their own history but this cunt does it all the time.
  2. Bruce's words of acceptance of criticism of the Sheffield game mean nothing when he's still trying to suggest that it's just the odd game like that and Brentford that are going wrong. Anyone with eyes can see that we've been utter dogshit for a season and a half. I could accept the Liverpool performance as being decent if it was alongside other performances where we played with some ambition to be on the front foot and have a go at teams who's playing staff doesn't far exceed our own. But we've seen us get hammered off Brighton this season, grab a draw against Fulham only because of a pen and a red card and get totally undeserved wins against West Brom and Palace. These teams aren't the cream of the crop, they're full of many players that we would look at and say aren't any better than what we have (although I assume they all have better central midfielders than the shite we have), they're low on confidence and yet we set out to sit back and give them all the opportunities they want to pass the ball amonst themselves up to the edge of our box and look like they're world beaters.
  3. Bess with the luckiest five for you'll probably ever see this morning. Bowled very averagely all morning and the Sri Lankans kept giving away wickets. Then the we should have got the 10th wicket on a run out but somehow the tv umpire didn't see the bat wasn't grounded and gave a not out. Cue one of the worst attempts at a reverse sweep for his fifth. He wants to get the lottery on tonight.
  4. There is a certain satifaction in what we all predicted coming to pass. The so called experts telling us that we should be happy that we're in no danger and we're picking up points so we shouldn't be worried if the football wasn't exciting. Seemingly they couldn't see what the stats, and our own eyes were telling us, this wasn't sustainable and we would drop down the league unless there were changes. But of course that satisfaction is quickly lost when we see a teamsheet or have to suffer the dross that get's served up. He has to go now surely.
  5. I've been working under the assumption that they're fucking clueless but actually when I think about it, laziness does fit well with the appointment and continued support of Bruce. He's a Geordie and we'll only accept Geordies up here is one of the laziest cliche's that you hear about us so it's fitting that's what Ashley used as his basis for appointing him.
  6. He doesn’t. He might if he was managing Man Utd. He’s a cunt that should have never been here and must go immediately.
  7. I don’t remember a time we’ve ever looked so clueless
  8. Could see it coming. Was just a question of whether Fraser or Wilson would lose their rag.
  9. I reckon you could put anyone off here in his place and we’d be no worse off. This is embarrassing.
  10. The stats for us playing five at the back are fucking awful. I suspect they're about to get worse.
  11. Fuck me he should be sacked for putting out that team alone. Hopefully he's putting nails in his own coffin here.
  12. Anderson showed more promise in his short appearence than most of our midfielders have ever managed. Be nice to see him get some more game time. Other than that, the game was absolutely turgid although Carroll actually looked like a footballer again which was canny. Much better to see him playing rather than using Joelinton as our main striker if we're not going to play Wilson.
  13. Well yes because Joelinton has had the benefit of the doubt from me for a long time. I'd been told since before he played for us that he wasn't a striker and it was painfully obvious he was being played out of position. I also knew Bruce was fucking useless before he arrived and again that's been painfully obvious. So I've been prepared to stand up for Joelinton but he's now not being used so much as a striker and he still looks hopelessly average at best. I'm still holding back a little bit because Bruce has clearly fucked his confidence, but he's showing so little it's hard to believe he'll ever turn out to be a premiership standard footballer. So on that basis I think I would have given Lewis time regardless of what he cost also. He's been very disapointing so far though. Mind I thought he looked very promising on his debut against West Ham so there's potentially a player there once he's deprogrammed from Bruce.
  14. I think it's fair given his lack of anything. Lewis is still getting the benefit of the doubt from me because of Bruce but he needs to improve a lot or he'll go the same way as Jo.
  15. I agree the way some of the fans have been with him has been poor, a lot of people weren't prepared to give him any chance at all. But we've just given away to Huddersfield a player who's only a year older than and has done just about as much as him but actually showed glimpses of a footballer. Unfortunately Jo hasn't managed that much.
  16. He's not shown enough in any position to be worthy of a game though.
  17. You can't just look at his performance this season in isolation though. Yes he was played out of position the majority of last season and he's woefully out of his depth as a target man, but his performances while better have been very average if we're being kind. We did pay tens of millions for him, he hasn't scored, he hasn't assisted and he hasn't played well. We can come up with all of the reasons we want to explain this but the facts say he has been an absolute disaster of a signing and he really doesn't deserve his place ahead of Gayle or Almiron or whoever else he's keeping out of the team.
  18. Something funny definitely went on there. There's no way anyone has ever looked at him and thought £40m was a fair value for him. If we have paid that much there must be something else going on.
  19. I mean the Joselu that played for us. Apparently he's done much better in Spain but even at the level he managed for us Joelinton is still a downgrade.
  20. I've been trying to think of a time when we had a midfield worse than we have now. I think I have to go back to my first ever game when we had Gary Megson and Pat Heard playing.
  21. I doubt the real fee was £40m but at half of that he's still probably our worst buy ever. I do agree with Fish that Bruce can make any of our players worse but I still can't see anything like a decent Premier League player in him. As has been mentioned before, we've managed to spend tens of millions to downgrade from Joselu. Mind I can only imagine how much worse Joselu would have been with Bruce coaching him.
