  1. Aye it's fucking pathetic. It's like an accountant asking someone pointing out a an error in arithmatic if they've ever added up professionally.
  2. I did actually go an see that with an ex. It was without doubt the worst film I've ever seen. And not in a so bad it's good way like The Room.
  3. Yeah I'd go with that and add Airheads and that recent one where he's the jeweller.
  4. It's the other part of the pundits bullshit that they basically believe that unless you were a professional footballer your opinion is worth absolutely nothing. You don't need to be an ex pro to be able to see that what Bruce's team is serving up is absolutely awful anymore than you need to be a Hollywood actor to be able to tell that 90% of films involving Adam Sandler are fucking terrible.
  5. I don't remember anything his playing career other than he always seemed to be injured. More famous for marrying a singer tbh.
  6. Aye Warner seems to be on the decline and then the rest of their batsman have been very average. That might change to an extent if Puckovski and Green can deliver on their potential. Both are averaging over 50 in first class cricket and have made decent starts to their Test careers too. Green is taking wickets at 25 too. He's not took an international wicket yet but if he can transfer that then they'll have the all rounder they've been crying out for year for. Both teams look like they have some potentially very good young batsmen coming through.
  7. Redknap basically said before the Sheffield game that teams outside the top 6, or is it 7 now that Arsenal have dropped, shouldn't expect to play any good football and we should just be happy to be in the league. Surely as a sport, every team should be looking to do the best they can in whatever league they are in. For a newly promoted team, particularly one with little or no recent experience of being in their division, that may well be just hanging in there for a season or two and looking to improve. But there's absolutely no reason at all to think that any club no matter what history or amount of supporters they have should just accept playing shit football just so they can hang on to the financial benefits of being in that division. There will come a point when if any club just continues to do that, when the supporters just stop caring.
  8. The simple fact is most footballers are thick as shit and so it follows that most football pundits are too. In every other sport that I've ever watched the pundits/comentators make insightful comments about what is happening in the match/event but with football all you get is the same tired old cliches time and time again. I find it harder and harder to watch a match with the commentary on and can hardly ever bare to watch the pre and post match bollocks. It was like this before Bruce but when these morons are telling us that what we are actually seeing with our own eyes week after week is wrong and that he's a good bloke working in difficult circumstances, it just becomes so patronising that it's impossible to take seriously.
  9. Paines had a lot of credit since becoming test captain but as a player I can't see much in him at all. And his captaincy has had a few knocks this series so they may well look to move him on. Not sure who else would replace him as keeper, Wade does well in state and franchise cricket but always looks a weak link when he's played for Australia. We should certainly take confidence for the Ashes in seeing an severly under strength India beat them. Our upcoming games against India are another matter.
  10. I've honestly thought that passing the ball to the opposition has been a key tactic of Bruce's since he's been here so this could actually be a game changer if they manage to do it. If he could continue this to the natural progression of pass it forward to your team mates rather than backwards, we could be in business.
  11. I think he's convinced himself it is. He's rewriting history himself. It's supposed to only be the victorious who get to write their own history but this cunt does it all the time.
  12. Bruce's words of acceptance of criticism of the Sheffield game mean nothing when he's still trying to suggest that it's just the odd game like that and Brentford that are going wrong. Anyone with eyes can see that we've been utter dogshit for a season and a half. I could accept the Liverpool performance as being decent if it was alongside other performances where we played with some ambition to be on the front foot and have a go at teams who's playing staff doesn't far exceed our own. But we've seen us get hammered off Brighton this season, grab a draw against Fulham only because of a pen and a red card and get totally undeserved wins against West Brom and Palace. These teams aren't the cream of the crop, they're full of many players that we would look at and say aren't any better than what we have (although I assume they all have better central midfielders than the shite we have), they're low on confidence and yet we set out to sit back and give them all the opportunities they want to pass the ball amonst themselves up to the edge of our box and look like they're world beaters.
  13. Bess with the luckiest five for you'll probably ever see this morning. Bowled very averagely all morning and the Sri Lankans kept giving away wickets. Then the we should have got the 10th wicket on a run out but somehow the tv umpire didn't see the bat wasn't grounded and gave a not out. Cue one of the worst attempts at a reverse sweep for his fifth. He wants to get the lottery on tonight.
  14. There is a certain satifaction in what we all predicted coming to pass. The so called experts telling us that we should be happy that we're in no danger and we're picking up points so we shouldn't be worried if the football wasn't exciting. Seemingly they couldn't see what the stats, and our own eyes were telling us, this wasn't sustainable and we would drop down the league unless there were changes. But of course that satisfaction is quickly lost when we see a teamsheet or have to suffer the dross that get's served up. He has to go now surely.
  15. I've been working under the assumption that they're fucking clueless but actually when I think about it, laziness does fit well with the appointment and continued support of Bruce. He's a Geordie and we'll only accept Geordies up here is one of the laziest cliche's that you hear about us so it's fitting that's what Ashley used as his basis for appointing him.
  16. He doesn’t. He might if he was managing Man Utd. He’s a cunt that should have never been here and must go immediately.
  17. I don’t remember a time we’ve ever looked so clueless
  18. Could see it coming. Was just a question of whether Fraser or Wilson would lose their rag.
  19. I reckon you could put anyone off here in his place and we’d be no worse off. This is embarrassing.
  20. The stats for us playing five at the back are fucking awful. I suspect they're about to get worse.
  21. Fuck me he should be sacked for putting out that team alone. Hopefully he's putting nails in his own coffin here.
  22. Anderson showed more promise in his short appearence than most of our midfielders have ever managed. Be nice to see him get some more game time. Other than that, the game was absolutely turgid although Carroll actually looked like a footballer again which was canny. Much better to see him playing rather than using Joelinton as our main striker if we're not going to play Wilson.
  23. Well yes because Joelinton has had the benefit of the doubt from me for a long time. I'd been told since before he played for us that he wasn't a striker and it was painfully obvious he was being played out of position. I also knew Bruce was fucking useless before he arrived and again that's been painfully obvious. So I've been prepared to stand up for Joelinton but he's now not being used so much as a striker and he still looks hopelessly average at best. I'm still holding back a little bit because Bruce has clearly fucked his confidence, but he's showing so little it's hard to believe he'll ever turn out to be a premiership standard footballer. So on that basis I think I would have given Lewis time regardless of what he cost also. He's been very disapointing so far though. Mind I thought he looked very promising on his debut against West Ham so there's potentially a player there once he's deprogrammed from Bruce.
