Well I seem to be in the minority here who love Line Of Duty (but absolutely hate Mrs Browns Boys). It might not mean much now but I've also really enjoyed Mare Of Easttown. Although Guy Pearce has been criminally under used in it.

Strangely a lot of the people on twitter who were saying he shoudln't complain about the racism because he had a shit game appeared to be black and Asian. Of couse this is depending on whether their twitter profile is accurate.

Had it on me ipad while watching something else on the telly. Was pretty shit from what I seen. Quite a few good penalties but not the greatest keeping. Shocking miss from Rashford which has led to frankly embarassing racist abuse and frightening defence of that abuse on the basis that these people seem to think it's fine since he had a shit game.

Not every season is it? Didn't they miss out completely last year? The new manager bounce should really now be called the sunderland technique by now shouldn't it.

I thought they were already consolidating in mid table.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

I used to like Tyler, I though he was one of the better commentators but the longer he's been with sky the more he seems to think he's some kind of important figure in football. Five years after he retires no cunt will remember him at all and handing over of his notes to Sergio beggars belief. Fair play to Aguero for managing to look enthusiastic. -
Aye what Alex said. I do agree largely with what eesembee said about him being a maverick, although I don't think that would necessarily put Arsenal or Spurs off. But I do think foreign teams (although again I think the top ones wouldn't be interested) might be more interested. Whether they would have the finances would be the question.
-
I think this is right. The very best teams will look at him and see how often he manages 90 minutes, as well the fact that he's actually only managed 3 goals and 4 assists this season and I don't think they will be entering a bidding war any time soon. Ambtious teams on the up like Leicester, West Ham and Everton would probably interested but whether they'd pay £40m + remains to be seen. Arsenal would be the least surprising but of course if Kane does go for something like £150m, they might splash some of that cash about stupidly like they did after selling Bale.

He really should be in the kitchen talking shite about politics at four in the morning after having that much up his nose instead of recording his ramblings.

Yeah I've got a ticket. Bought a couple of cabbages in preparation.

Steve Bruce’s Willockless Winnets vs Arteta’s spray painted heed

Dubravka is definitely a good keeper but is certainly not a world class one. He does make a few too many mistakes for his ability, that I'm sure he will be more disapointed about than anyone else. He also seems to have a rather odd problem with freekicks. But he's probably in the top ten in the country. He's a long way clear of Darlow though. Darlow is a canny back up and has had an excellent season by his standards but he's not a first choice premier league keeper. -

Toontastic Premier League Hall of Cunts,

That alone puts him in the top three surely. -
It would actually be more like not going out on a date with a gagging for it Salma Hayek for fear you might get into an accident on the way.

Unless it was to win you actual cash then I don't think that covers him. -

Rio is doing his best these days to eclipse the rest with his alleged punditry but I'll go with Owen. Has no one mentioned Pardew or Bruce though? -
That wouldn't take much of an argument tbh. These last two seasons in particular have been purgatory. I can't see there being many supporters who wouldn't rather have the entertainment of a promotion ahead of this shit all the time. Even if it does by definition mean that we'd have to have some relegations to.

Most unlike anyone that has anything to do with that club!

The NFL, NBA & MLB models is exactly what the owners of these clubs want, but those competitions weren't created on the back of a professional structure that has 92 teams in this country alone (never mind clubs in Spain and Italy too). Those clubs that are going to be locked out of this and turned into minor league feeder clubs aren't going to accept this and I can't see many supporters in this country accepting it either. Appart from the fact that it just will get boring watching your team play the same few teams every week it also will become impossible for most supporters to continue to attend games week after week. Their are plenty of supporters who go to every game home and away. That will be impossible when you first of all have to fly around Europe every week and then to America/Chine/Middle East.

I mean it's the same that they are threatening this in order to get more money and power. In terms of what this does to the game if it goes through, of course it's different and much more harmful. Mind I don't know the exact details of what the clubs were threatening at the time of the premier league creation. They may have been threatening to break away from the pyramid completely if they didn't get their way then too. But my point was about it being a power grab rather than about how far reaching the changes are..

It’s exactly the same as the formation of the Premier League really isn’t it. The big clubs wanted more money and threatened to fuck off if they didn’t get it. In the end they came to a compromise. I’m certain this is what will happen but I’d much rather it just went ahead and the real supporters of these clubs fucked them all off and gave their support to FCUM or the like. I’d like to think that’s what we’d do if faced with the same choice. Let them keep the fans from America or China or wherever, that’s where they’ll end up playing half their games anyway.
