  1. He was at half time too. Whinging on that Peacock's goal shouldn't have been allowed despite the fact that they had a camera angle showing it crossed the line. He nearly burst out crying with Dagleish pointed out that it wasn't worth complaining about since Ginola had raked the second past Schmeichel into the top corner. I've hated him since I sobered up from being at that match and watched recording.
  2. There are definitely players who can't stand him. The Longstaff's both think he's a total prick.
  3. Don't think Wilson has been ruled out yet though has he? I don't think we're winning this no matter who is available and who is in charge tbf. So in that sense we might as well wait until after this game to get shot of him. But I do think he's going to spoil my day on Sunday.
  4. I was calm until I found out Bruce was still going to be picking the losing team on Sunday.
  5. Yeah I seen Edwards tweet first thing this mornnig and this was exactly my take. But I did hold back on voicing it at first because I didn't want to be thought of as conding the original tweet or the person posting it (although I can't say I've ever noticed him before) in any way. I'm certainly against pandering to the Saudi's in any way such as this, flag waving or fancy dress. Mind I'm also against fancy dress is general!
  6. I fail to see what you're arguing about then. Everyone is saying Bruce should be binned but no one is saying that we should also have a new manager in this week. It seems that you're agreeing with everyone else but doing it in an argumentative way.
  7. It's not really a threat though is it? I'm not for one moment condonding what that tosser said, but what he's actually done is said that if you belive what you've suggested the Saudi's have done to journalists, you should be careful what you say or they might do it to you. I mean this kid who's probably sat in his mams bedroom has absolutely no say in what they do so he can't influence anyone to kill a reporter. Yes he's a prick and should probably get a twitter ban, and yes despite Edwards being a prick, he shouldn't be getting shit like this. But to suggest that there's been a death threat a definitely pushing it.
  8. So we should rely on luck getting us out of this run like we did the last couple? Because there's no way you can try and tell me that it was Bruce's magic that got us out of those runs. My drug fucked memory isn't so bad that I can't remember how shit we still were in those games towards the end of last season where we managed to scrape points. West Ham played with 10 men most of the game and still deserved to win. I appreciate we can wait a bit to make sure we get the managerial appointment right, but Bruce is a negative we just don't need.
  9. I stand by my original thought that supporting our team and wanting it to do well whether it's owned by the Saudi's, Newcastle Council or Ant & Dec, is not something we should be apologising for. But I do think it's important to use this to learn more and I do find it distasteful when I see other supporters wearing Arab get up or being draped in Saudi flags. I've no doubt City supporters did the same when they were bought by the UAE but that's not an excuse. But then again I'm not going to have a go at those who do it as all it really shows is their lack of education in that (and probably many other) areas. If we don't have any direction from our leaders on this then what hope does your average man in the street have. I'd just much rather those in press who against this whole deal actually tried to educate people on the whole than make snide comments against a bunch of supporters who want nothing more than to enjoy going to the match.
  10. Cheers, I tried having a bit read of the wiki article but it's far too in depth for last five minutes of my lunch break. I'll set aside some time to have a look further. First impressions though seem quite similar to many operations in the middle east that we have been involved in (indeed we seem to have been involved with this too) although it appears there is certainly at least questions about adherence to UN conventions. Also appears that for one reason or another that they are backing out of Yeman which is surely a good thing.
  11. May as well try and learn something from the stick we're getting. These public beheadings that are going on in Saudi. Who are they beheading? Is it opposers of the state or is it murders and rapists and other criminals? Also what is their beef with Yeman that's resulting in the bombings?
  12. I can understand them wanting to do that, and while I also agree that they might want, and probably need, to get some information from him about the squad etc, I think it will be a massive mistake to have him in charge on Sunday. And leaving it too long between now and then only makes it harder for Jones to prepare the team.
  13. Yeah I get what you're saying but what benefit do you see in sticking with him? If we aren't able to get a top target in a matter of a couple of weeks and we stick with Bruce until Christmas or whatever, are we likely to be better off that we would be getting shot of him and having Jones as caretaker until then? Personally I think just no having Bruce will at least give the hope of a bounce. I can't see him being able to turn things around himself. We all know from actually watching the games rather than just looking at the results, that any upturns in form that we've seen in spells over the last two season have been down to luck and brilliance from individuals, rather than anything he has done to positively influence things.
  14. What makes them look more incompetent now? Sacking Bruck and having no one lined up or in place for a few weeks, or sticking with a manager they are clearly going to replace and allowing him to take us closer to relegation. Because theres zero chance in an upturn in results while that fat sack of shit is running the team.
  15. Surely it's nearer 90%. When was the last time anyone discussed any of their games or signings? I genuinely don't have a clue who any of the players that Squat person mentions are. I've found them nothing but a laughing stock all of my life.
  16. Her fella has managed a forward pass so he instantly looks better than any of our midfield!
  17. I seriously doubt supporters of Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real, Juve or Milan have ever sat thinking to themselves, why don't the supporters of small clubs that aren't winning trophy's like us. They will give as many fucks as I will if and when we finally win something.
  18. It's not much of a surprise that ex premier league players don't have grasp of something so simple as what the word great means!
  19. Mate, we would be just as excited with someone who has a fraction of the Saudi's resources who just wants to try and properly run the club instead of Ashely who had no interest in running the club at all. Being hated by those three lots of support will not be any price to pay at all. Personally I can't bare any of them. Their arrogance absolutely knows no boundaries.
  20. Well at least the Saudi fans won't all be playing number 4!
  21. That guy was Simon Jordan so I wouldn't be taking that as gospel.
  22. The Saudi's are starting a new airline that they want to rival Emirates etc. I have absolutely no doubt that they will be a sponsor soon enough. Anyone know how long we're tied in to Fun 88?
  23. I don't think we'll see him being undroppable anymore. And one this is for certain, there's no way a lack of space in the sqaud is going to stop us bringing in more players. Players will either be sent out one way or another or they'll simply not be registered. Whatever level of spending we ever get too, I have 100% confidence that those days are well behind us now.
  24. They'll probably claim that this is the effect of us tainting the premier league brand with our new owners! In reality it's painfully obvious what the issue of all of the other clubs are. The 'big 6' are fucked off at fact that we've now potenially got the wealth of lord over them and as the tweet says, 7 into 4 doesn't go. The next tier down (Everton, Liecester, West Ham) are worried that they will have less chance of getting into the second tier European competition and the teams lower down are worried they will have one less team in the relegation battle going forward. And lets face it, sporting objectives for all of the owners (well most, is Brighton fan owned?) come in a distant second to money. Human rights aren't a consideration to any of them.
