1. In reality, the True story of Ed Gein is as chilling as any film based on his life. I'm not sure what "Hicksville" is.
2. be interesting to see what comes top in tonights '50 most scary moments' thing tonight, I think that film was well done in the list! But then Buffy has just featured in the top 20 i think! good grief 51903 I'd just flicked over when I saw 'Buffy' in there. 51928 To be fair none of them are actually scary as they aren't real, so its subjective at best, but the episode of Buffy they put in was a good choice. Everybody was rendered unable to speak/make a sound and a group of evil looking creatures were going around at night cutting out peoples organs and they were unable to scream for help. So there! 52087 Parts of Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based on fact. Obviously there's 'true' and 'based on a true story' but there's a lot of fact woven into the movie. There wasn't a family in Texas of cannibals who murdered people with chainsaws. But there was a guy in Wisconsin who robbed graves, murdered people and evicerated them with other implements. When they investigated his house, they did in fact find (as in the film) a disemboweled woman hanging from a meat hook. The same 'real man' also was used as inspiration for Buffalo Bill and Norman Bates.
3. The thing about the original TCM is that it doesn't actually have much gore. A bit of blood, but not exaggerated or anything. It is disturbing not for its gore but for what actually happens.
4. I think that the best horror movie I ever saw was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
5. A one match ban for Carr I think. 49252 The Headline could read 'Carr Parked for 1 game' go on, tell me i'm a wasted talent 49257 You're a waste.
6. Saw her speak once. Very unassuming and quiet, but with that quiet power that comes from the confidence you get from being through a system like Highlander and a movement like she was a part of. Truly a legend in her own time. Sad that we can no longer say 'a living legend.' RIP
7. Bah. You Northeastern Brits think you're so hard with your 'cold weather.' You're a bunch of pussies.

14. Something tells me you're wasting your breath as I don't think that Cath has much in common with Kevin Smith fans. Edit: I'm not saying that this is a bad thing.
15. I had this problem a few weeks ago and used this program which recovered every bit of data from the disk: PC inspector

22. I'm confused, Zath. We know who committed the penalty - the guy infront of Carragher. Am I missing something?? Surely not a whoosh?? 40467 I was amused by the guilty look on his face. As well as the length of Carragher's arm.
23. Do you think you can spot the guilty party?
