What a joke this season has become. Regardless of how this turns out, it's impossible to take things seriously anymore; if you do, you start thinking about slitting your wrists. I hope it works out; it just seems that everything is done at this club on impulse/spur of the moment racing from one emergency to another......... I suppose supporting a club which mirrors my life makes sense though. what's the general 'real life' equivalent of relegation?

If he loved it so much why did he try to walk out on the club and go to West Ham?

Bah. Guess I'm not as up on the boards as I used to be back in the day when only Alex and Camil posted more than I did. Meenzer.

I tend to like classic, simple designs. This might be taking it a bit too far, but nevertheless as long as it's simple, I think it's hard to complain too much. If you think it's too plain, then don't buy it, but it's better than it being horribly garrish. I quite like the old-school look of the numbers. I'll like it even more if they leave off the player names. It looks good on American Football, Baseball and Basketball jerseys (I can call those shirts 'jerseys' ) but I think that a "classic look" football shirt should be without names. Edit: I think some of what looks bad about it is how high on the chest the crest appears. If it's a little lower, I think the shirt will look a lot better. It could be also that Terry seems to be arching his back a bit in the picture... Big smile, tits out?

Didn't the 1994 World Cup generate more revenue (adjusted for inflation) than 1998, 2002 and 2006 despite having only 24 teams? I'm sure I read that somewhere. And Mexico has had it twice.

Indeed; it's an alternate angle from a Chevy Malibu commercial.

where did you buy those rose tinted specs =D Not saying it'll be freed up for the club to spend on players or anything, but having an £8 million possible debt over your head doesn't exactly lead you to want to splash more cash?? It's freed for whatever purpose it may be used, even if it's not what you/I/we want it to be used for, it's still £8 million less that must be held in reserve.

I'd be happy with this result. A relatively inexpensive out of court settlement and the club can move on? Don't forget that in addition to whatever award the court were to give KK, the club would have to pay it's legal costs, likely in the several hundred thousands of pounds. AND, until the matter is settled, the club must keep £8 million in reserve to pay the award if it's given. This frees up most of that cash. As much as I'd like to know 'exactly' what happened, it's sort of beside the point now. Let's move on and be done with it. This is the easiest way to do that.

No no no! Need Sven to stay with Mexico until at least september so that we can beat them in Mexico City!

Just for SLP

More likely us going down than them tbh.

Aguirre What a complete lunatic. Not quite as bad as LaVolpe, but I love Mexican coaches--can't beat them for arrogance.

Agree with a couple of points. Would have loved to have O'Neil come here after Robson. But the key that I see is balance. The Newcastle sides that have had success have had midfield balance. Say what you like about the Keegan teams being too offense-oriented, but KK at least realized the importance of trying to have some balance with Batty and to a lesser extent Rob Lee in his later appearances (though those weren't under KK).... Hamann, Speed, etc. The defensive midfielder who is not JUST a destroyer, but someone who can make a positive as well as a horizontal pass. Unfortunately Butt has turned into a half-decent destroyer whose passing is just poor. I'd hoped that Barton might provide some of that balance, but it hasn't happened. Further on the balance, though, was shown clearly when we had Nobby on the right and Robert on the left. We had success with a good wide player on each side, and whenever we broke that up (just Nobby at first once Ginola/Glass/etc were gone and we had Speed marginally on the left there if anyone, then just Robert when Nobby was sold and Dyer wasn't a wide man) we showed much less teeth. You have to be able to switch the side of the attack or drastically modify your playing style to get away from wide play, and frankly we don't have players with the speed or the ability to make the cutting needle-threading pass to pull that off.

Says more about our other players than him TBH

At -40, Fahrenheit and Celsius are the same. It's in Fahrenheit, though, making it -40.5555555555 C.

Fuck me: -41 today. Hope the damn car starts....

What a first touch!

He was crap in MLS for Dallas last year; doubt he'll be any good for Bolton.

I seem to recall a while back some people on here describing a program to download youtube vids. There's a couple that I need to show at a presentation at which I won't have a net connection.... anyone with a method that works? (I specify this because I've now tried three methods found through google that didn't work.)

OneNote is a great program for note taking as a student... or a lawyer... don't know how useful it would be in accounting. It creates automatic text-boxes wherever you want to type, has built-in audio and video recording (which will allow you to sync the recording and jump to whenever you typed notes during the recording. You can add drawings and charts and stuff quickly and easily. Like I said, it's great as a student, it'll probably be useful in some situations as a lawyer, but I don't know how helpful it would be as an accountant.

I think it's great. The functionality of Word 2007 is spectacular. I've been working with it since last September. It took me about three weeks to figure out where everything was, but since then I've been absolutely pleased with it. I've actually found that most of the formatting functions and such are much easier to find and use in Office 2007 than they were in 2003. Also, the OneNote program is brilliant.

Given the second half performance a point is a good return. Needed three though.
