Pointyball is a more worthless waste of time than test cricket.

I do. Depending on where you want to stay/plan transportation, you could get a relatively cheap hotel rate, and given that MSP is still sort of a hub for Delta, there are plenty of flights. With Southwest now flying into MSP, rates are down a bit, although air travel rates in general are soaring. Booking well in advance, I'm guessing going from Gatwick to MSP you could probably get a round trip flight with a stop for less than $1000 US. (A quick Expedia search gave me a round trip for $700.) There's pretty good public transport to the Vikings, Gophers, Wolves and Twins stadia, but the Wild's is a little tougher. Doable, but less ideal. Hotels could run you anywhere from $40-120 per night depending on where and how nice a place you want. It certainly could be done very cheaply. Time the trip well and you ought to be able to see the Twins, Gopher (american) football and the Vikings, or the Vikings, Wild and Wolves. If you make it a summer trip, I'll take you to a US division 2 soccer game, and you'll get to experience the jackassery of 30-40 "real" football fans in a stadium of around 2,500 people looking at us like we're mad. Feel free to PM me if you want delve into real details of scheduling/planning etc. PS: Here's me with Captain Altman (I painted the banner)

Since i haven't been to a game since Shearer scored THAT volley against Everton (haven't even been in the UK since then, sadly) I don't know if there are any songs for Colo at the moment. But here's one that we sing for my local team's captain, Kyle Altman. To the tune of the Human League's "Don't you want me baby" Captain Coloccini! Coloccini Whoa-oh-oh-oh! Coloccini baby! Coloccini Whoa-oh-oh-oh! Take it for what it's worth.

You must be kidding me.

Davide Santon signs a 5 year deal with Newcastle United
Zathras replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
My Inter fan friend suggest he was given many opportunities to take the LB spot and never really established himself and Inter finally gave up on him after 5 coaches tried to get him to work there. Hope he's just being pessimistic/critical. Edit: based on my readings here, I'm cautiously optimistic. Further so by the history of Enrique starting slowly and coming into his own and the fact that many of our recent signings have actually been reasonably shrewd IMO. -
:D :boogie: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:   <_< :)

How was that not 2-0???

Not a fan of this sub. bringing in another defender allows them to apply more pressure and I don't trust our defense to absorb it.

Your lack of the Green Ranger disappoints me.

Aye, that was my home-team Minnesota Twins. It's not all that uncommon, although such a lopsided score is not overly common either. It's helped by the fact that each team plays 162 games a season, though.

Am I the only one who saw him immediately?

Start an "interesting photo" thread then (Not a bad idea actually )

At the risk of hijacking the thread, the *popular song* Grammys are now, and usually have been, worthless as a measure of actual quality. In the more specific areas, however, they are still usually a pretty good indication of real quality in the area. There are four different Grammys for Jazz, composing, classical, spoken word, etc. (It's perhaps worth noting that one of McFerrin's Grammys was for Don't Worry Be Happy. The other nine are legit, though. ;-) )

He fucking should've an aal!! Howay man, he's a fantastic jazz vocalist with 10 grammys. Don't judge him by the one popular hit he had, which he himself dislikes.

There has been little to no real coverage in Spain Italy or Germany on the whole thing. I think that says loads about what will end up happening.

A good shout. Always one of the ones that bugged me most how successful he was once he left. Thrust into the wrong place due to injuries and ridiculous decisions (Shearer, Ferdinand, Asprilla.) Was paired with Ian Rush FFS, wasn't he?
-
Saw him play for a second-division US team last week. Didn't stand out at all. It took until well into the second half that I noticed he was even on the pitch. I thought he'd be a good player at the time, too. IIRC he looked decent for Watford after he left us too, but was derailed by injuries. It's too bad because one of the biggest problems I feel like we had back then was balance; we had Solano on the right but no one on the left until Robert came in.

I'd appreciate anyone who'd do me a favor and follow @kfried6 He's a player on my local team. He and a former teammate have a bet going regarding the number of followers they can get by the end of the game between their two teams on Sunday. You can unfollow him on Sunday.

Given the size of the country, most clubs see on average 20-30 away fans per season at MOST, and most of those come for one or two games against the closest rival, which is often several hundred miles away. I'd be more surprised if they *did* have a policy on it.

Depending on the files, 1.5-4 gigs total. They're World Cup matches. I was in South Africa and missed them, and I am putting all of the US matches onto DVDs for my archives.
