  1. Isn't it nice to have real things to be proud of?
  2. I take care of the whole head. Just like your Mum! Heyooohhhhhhh
  3. Dunno where they're getting their date from, but I have us 4th for xG against per 90. (1.02) Also, if you ignore penalties, Liverpool drop to 5th for xG. Behind Everton. If games were played on the spreadsheet, we'd be 2nd, behind Man City
  4. It's way more likely to be a version of A, in my view. I don't think we're going to shift too far from our current style, but we will see more of the ball. And when we do, we'll need better technicians on the pitch. Last season so many of our good chances came from the triangles made on the right by Almiron, Trippier and Bruno. I think Tonali has been bought to take Bruno's place on that flank to allow him either to try and build that same threat on the left with Gordon and Burn/Hall, OR play more in the centre of the attack. Bruno is currently playing as our defensive midfield cover when his best work is done further up the pitch. I think Bruno and Tonali ahead of an out and out DM would allow us to press, have multiple areas of threat and continue our high intensity pressing game. Tonali is not a defensive midfielder, not even to the standard being set by Bruno currently.
  5. I've been trying to think of which Premier League player he reminds me of and I'm struggling. He's definitely not a true blue defensive midfielder. He's no David Batty. Plays on the right of a midfield 3, can drive with the ball, works hard, good solid technical ability, looks for killer balls, operates in that space just outside the corner of the box looking for through balls or crosses. Maybe like an Odegaard? I dunno.
  6. I think that's by design, our boys taking shots from outside the box tend to come when the result is pretty secure.
  7. I think Twitter are expecting any player to hit the ground running as a lot of ours have. Same thing happened with Gordon. Thing with Tonali is that he hasn't played a string of games with our first choice midfield available and a settled forward line in front. And we haven't played a run a games with a settled team against weaker opponents. Tonali is a quality player and I'm sure Howe and our team will get more from him than we've seen so far.
  8. I watched the Beckham thing, I enjoyed it. Well thanks guys, I'll be back soon so don't forget to subscribe and turn on those notifications.
  9. He definitely was at Milan. I think he's getting used to the way we play, but he's definitely got the eye for a pass. Sometimes he looks for the high risk/high reward pass and it doesn't come off.
  10. I don't think he's limited for an 8, certainly not for a 6. And bear in mind these stats include his time at West Ham where he was an out and out DM. I think if we were to sign a true blue 6, we'd still press high and hunt in packs, I just think it'd free our more creative players (Anderson, Bruno, Tonali, Willock) to operate with a little more license to attack and mean we could better operate with two attacking fullbacks, instead of just Trippier.
  11. An attacking/creative player has been turned into a less creative, less attacking player. Because of Moyesball. It's more difficult to turn a technically good, defensively excellent, leader, into a fancydan flair boy. Getting an already industrious attacker to be more industrious is child's play.
  12. It was Leeds Uni. Just be glad I didn't say Barm Cake. Plus, there were plenty of baps around,
  13. There's plenty of people on twitter who seem giddy at the chance to have a scrap over there, see if one of them fancies taking his place?
  14. Zip? Arthritic fingers can't handle buttons anymore old bean?
  15. I'm not so I don't hesitate to say this; You're old as fuck mate.
  16. It's rank and embarrassing. First time was in Tenerife, second was in Leeds. Thought I'd got away without anyone knowing, but I was living with Doctors at the time and as I was nursing a sausage bap in the morning, one spotted the hospital bracelet round my wrist and asked why I'd been in.
  17. It's not just that the standard of players limited him, it was the style that they play. West Ham under Moyes are a counter attack team. Solid base, hit the flanks quickly or play a ball over the top for the striker to hold up. It's just not the kind of style that allows a player like Rice to flourish. Look at what Paqueta has become, where once he was an attacking, creative midifelder, he's become a more combative, destructive player. Rice is amazing and your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
  18. I think you've done all you can directly. How old is he? I know when I was in my 20s I drank a frankly dangerous amount. Twice had my stomach pumped. As I grew up I quickly grew out of that.
