Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
The Fish replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
That's irrelevant, Gemmil said add those 9 points to the deduction. Mr Bass said that you deduct it. If you deducted 9pts from the deduction you'd be left with a 1 point deduction. Original deduction is 10pts, add 9pts to that deduction. Increasing the deduction to a 19 point deduction. 14 + (-10 + -9) = -5 14 + (-10 - -9) = 13 14 - (10 + 9) = -5 14 - (10 - 9)= 13 So whichever way you slice it, adding 9 pts to the deduction gives you -5 which is correct. Deducting 9pts from the deduction gives you 13, which is incorrect. -

I'd agree I'd been wooshed, if Bass hadn't doubled down so very, very, hard -

Anyone know how to get cheap(er) Disney holidays?

He's back in school today, nigh on sprinting down the road to get there. As soon as he sees his mates he's showing off his cannula bruise and telling them how he got to go in an ambulance. Dunno whether or not to let him go to afterschool club, but going off this morning he 'll be grand. For all I got frustrated towards the end, can't say anything but good things about the staff. The issues all stem from underfunding. Fuck the Tories.

I know GSCEs were a while ago, but come on! My lad is 4 and I reckon with a little coaching he could get the hang of negative numbers before next week. -

Sorry, I've missed a bit of this conversation. But just to weigh in on the important part. You don't deduct a deduction, as that would be an addition. 10 + -5 = 5 10 - -5 = 15 -5 + 10 = 5 -5 - 10 = -15 Are you all thinking that the minus before a negative number is an instruction, rather than a descriptor for a number less than 0? -

Why would they sue the PL? PL have rules, Everton broke them, Everton are the ones who benefited at the cost to Burnley or Leicester -

There aren't many superheroes who get their powers at 42. Already got a couple of names picked out though; Insomniman, or The Impotent Rage!

Even more if some of the estate is held in trust, I believe.

The injuries to Barnes and Anderson are unpredictable, and Barnes could have eased the strain on Wilson and Isak. Anderson could have played on the left allowing Gordon or Barnes to play centrally. I don't think we got the recruitment wrong necessarily, I just think we've been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season. Maybe recall Minteh, or sign some journeyman striker on a short term deal (Like we did with Wood) and the pressure is eased on both of them. Sign a young 3rd choice striker who can get minutes in the cups and from the bench to preserve Wilson and Isak, then hopefully move Wilson to 3rd choice and the young kid to 2nd.

We've promised him a trip to the toy shop when he's all better. Little does he know that his mother and I are the arbiters of what 'all better' looks like. Gullibility must come from her side of the family.

Still going to be another 48hrs. They want him to finish the course of antibiotics. We haven't told him, the wife is sanguine about it but I'm gutted. Really wanted him to be home for the weekend.

Ps, sorry for hijacking your return thread @Tdansmith

Well, that depends on how far back you want to go, doesn't it?

He's migrated from the mask and 5 litres, to the nasal cannula and 2litres, still hitting 95%. Which is great. He's gonna need to hit 92 without any oxygen, for a sustained period (could be 24hrs) before they let us go home. He's even hitting 95% while asleep which is better than expected.
-
Well, he's still on oxygen, but he's a lot more like himself. Sounds like they'll want him off oxygen for a full 24hrs though, which probably means he'll not be out of here until Friday at the earliest. Im afraid that means my outstanding contributions to this place will be lacking. Gonna need you to step up your funny jokes, data posts and braggadocio. Ta
