  1. Depends how it ends at Arsenal. If he delivers them consistent Champions League I don't see there being much appetite to get shot. If he has them failing to get into Europe, his attitude and expectation will take a hit. Just look at Mourinho.
  2. Re: GPs I think it's hit and miss. I can get appointments no problem but sometimes the Doctor I get is fucking useless. The littlest one was shuddering when she was feeding, so we took her to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Doctor's honest-to-god reaction was a dismissive "Well, what do you want?" How about a little expert opinion, some guidance and some reassurance? I went in later with an ear infection, same doctor, same incompetence. Sends me off with some ibuprofen. Finally see someone capable and I get antibiotics and industrial grade pain relief. Wife has a thyroid issue, and has a consultant she's been with for years. She went to the GP to discuss blood test results and re-up her meds. Doctor at that point asked what contraception we're using because the meds she's taking could be very dangerous to a foetus and "That'll be another problem that just ends up at our door". I was raging, called to complain, written formal complaint, and I'm shifting to the other GP surgery in the village asap.
  3. Sure. He'll get picked up by West Ham, Everton, or the like.
  4. Renton whenever he sees a woman at SJP.
  5. My mate tells me it was Warren Barton against Bristol city in the League Cup in 95. I've no memory of that at all, but he's convinced. His dad was my godfather and he took the two of us, and he swears he's still got the programme.
  6. Bobby Shinton in a pre season friendly against... the mackems.
  7. Counter attack with pace from Elanga and CHO. Hitting a big man (in the form of his life). Support from willing runners (MGW, Anderson). Dirty bastard in the middle. Defensively resolute, with special mention to Murillo who is by far their best defender. Consistent 11. We showed the blueprint to beat them; Be physical in the middle of the park, peg back their fullbacks, 'professional' fouls to stop any counter attack, quick breaks of your own.
  8. This was from 3rd of January. I can't imagine it's changed significantly. Title is all but certainly going to end up at Anfield. Analysts still think Forest will drop off, but they haven't a particularly bad run of fixtures ahead of them. Their worst run of games is coming up at the end of January through to early March. But even then, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham are all eminently beatable for a side that likes to play on the counter. This season is pretty similar to the 15/16 season. Two of the "big 6" having absolutely honking seasons and the other 4 having, by their standards, middling-to-poor point returns. A lot of stodge in the middle of the table. Some traditionally midtable sides having poor seasons. The surprise team that barely survived relegation in the previous season suddenly making a tilt to the top spot. And that team being reliant on a counter attack style that appears to be catching everyone off guard.
  9. As long as we keep within a goal of them, I'd fancy us to get past them at SJP. I also think that Arteta's eyes will be on the Champions League, staying as close to Liverpool as possible in the league, and the more prestigious FA Cup.
  10. And, as we know, contracts in football are signed in blood, never to be broken.
  11. Especially if it was down to a dodgy penalty awarded to Man City against, ohhhh lets say Everton.
  12. I don't think there's any appetite to sack him. Pep is surely, SURELY, fucking off at the end of this season. That leaves a giant chasm to fill and Arteta is one of the managers better positioned to fill it. He's got form for this sort of thing. After banging your mam! Heyoooohhhhhh
  13. If the owners at Arsenal are putting pressure on Arteta, I don't think they'll be mollified by a League Cup win.
  14. Liverpool fan I know said the result against Man Utd wasn't so bad because "no other team capitalised, unless we're saying Man City are still in it". Boy oh boy, the speed I c&p-ed the league table. Brother, it would have made your head spin clean off.
  15. Aye, but he's one of those players who can seem to do fuck all for 90 minutes, then bang in a goal or two. Haaland is the same. I must make this bet every match, and every match I win. Got this one as well, Nice little top up for the Comic book kitty.
  16. They couldn't fuck it all up, could they?
  17. Then 😂 fuck off 😂
  18. Sels was turboturd when he was here.
