Not confident about signing Remy, tbh. He's turned us down a few times and while yes, the Euros are round the corner, he's not been grabbing the scant opportunities to impress at Chelsea... Odd that Luke Edwards of the Telegraph is reporting a fresh bid for Lacazette, not normally one for clickbait Transfer hype/hopes. Probably the Agent trying to raise awareness of his client, but it's notable none the less.

Moussa, Gini, Perez, would go for for north of £10m, Gini maybe north of £20m. Might get a little over £10m for Mbemba and Mitrovic if their form maintains/improves.

That quote of his is interesting. He's spent most of his career playing on the right, yet seems excited about the prospect of playing Left Side for us. Honestly, I'd love to see him maintain the form shown in his highlight compilations, but he's not been hugely consistent throughout his career. Still need a striker, still need a left back and could do with another body or 2 even if it's just a <£2m teenager from a lower league. Two of the last 3 signings have been for the here and now, not "ones for the future". Arguably the summer transfers were too. Is this a change in the Fat Man's approach? Is this McClaren's boardroom influence? Or is it, as has been mentioned, just panic buying like we did with Sissoko et al?

To be fair, we've been playing some decent football, the issue is that we're not taking our chances and we're giving away stupid chances at our end. To say we've been tremendous may be overestimating it, but the message is clear. We're playing ok and sorting things out in either box will soon see us winning games. I have anticipated every jibe, joke and glib remark that you're all yearning to make and it's all water off a duck's back, so I wouldn't bother if were you.

If we're going down the route of pulling a football manager up on his word choice, we may have very little time in the day to moan about his tactics.

Not being funny, but it'll work (and has worked) on a sizable number of the fans, so it's probably worth it.

Can't people understand that there might be a difference between what is said publicly and what is said to the players in private?
