If results go our way on Saturday and I'll be more confident, but they could both lose on Saturday, we could win and they've still got that game in hand against sides whose seasons are over AND who are bang average. Our game may well be against a team whose season is over, but they're still a good side and if we need to better Sunderland's result on the final day I don't see us doing it. I reckon I'm 80% confident we're going down, if we win & they both lose I'll probably shift to 70%, they fuck up their game in hand and I'll grow in confidence further. But right now, we've won the games we thought winnable, so really nowt's changed.

You think he will? I could imagine the show cutting him out entirely
-
Problem his natural replacement hasn't been much cop either. Perez's performances have tailed off dramatically.
-
Soz yeah. This kind of foresight has always been a burden.
-
I don't think he's clever enough for that.
-
"finally" being the key word. Might be too late I'm afraid. I don't think they'll get 7, I think they might get 5 and I'm confident we won't get 6.

He's pragmatic, I wouldn't be surprised if he waited until the dust had settled on this particular catastrophe before launching into a scrap with a crazy powerful magic user. re: the last bit. I think that's where the Crannogmen will come in. One thing I've heard is Ian Mcshane is going to play Howland Reed, but then there's this quote; Which makes me think that he's the Elder Brother who'll bring back . I think Brienne and Sansa will take a long route to the Wall to throw off the Boltons, this will take them to the Quiet Isle and all that follows that.

Hey. Fuck you. I was confident we'd stay up last season because we only needed 1 win amongst that terrible Carver run and we would have been safe before the final day. I'm not confident now because even if we win all our games we could still go down. I'm not confident because it's not in our hands. Should Norwich & sunderland be in a position where our results could relegate them, I'd be more confident. Say we win on Saturday and they both lose. We'd be 4pts clear on 36pts They both then only manage a draw against Everton & Watford respectively; Norwich would be down with 32pts, but sunderland would still survive if they better our result on the final day. And they'll be facing a midtable, cba, on the beach side in Watford and we'd be facing Spurs. Everton and Watford won't do us any favours and we're not guaranteed to beat Aston Villa.

I think she knows he's dead, but yeah Davos seems to have got over the death of his King pretty easily (and the princess Shireen too). I think they're going to to have to explain why Davos went straight to ask the Red Woman to resurrect Jon. Even if he justifies it to Tormund as a way of justifying it to the audience? Yeah he'll be offed as/after he over-reaches to get vengeance on Theon and Sansa. We've already seen the soldiers of the Dreadfort lock shields in some battle or other, and given where they are it can surely only be the Watch/Wildling/Crannogmen armies?
-
Wasn't there a shared knowing glance when Melisandre returned to Castle Black? I think Davos is bothered about Jon because the man who Davos revered and trusted above all others allowed ambition to corrupt him. Jon is Stannis' replacement for Davos. I don't think he's too bothered about the Wildlings destroying the Watch, more he know that the Wall needs a strong leader against the White Walkers.

I plot a steady path, it's you lot that flit twixt glory and doom.
-
That is poetic and horrible.

They weren't on the beach against Watford. I know they lost, but they were trying Spurs may be demoralised, and down to bones, but I'm still not convinced we have enough to get all 3pts. Mostly I'm expecting Villa to get a draw and final day's result be immaterial.
-
Fuck that! This is the universe telling you that you can do what you like without fear of repercussion. You're Teflon mate!
-
Trouble is, I think we'll need to win them both and if I'm honest, I can see us fucking up at Villa park.
-
Long fucking flight this like.

It's mentioned a lot in the book that while the Wall side of Castle Black is nigh impenetrable, the south side isn't well guarded at all. The Wildlings are now south of the wall because Snow knew that they would be massacred by the White Walkers and thus become part of the White Walker's army. Less the enemy of my enemy is my friend, more, the corpses of my enemy join my enemy's enemy as a legion of undead cannon fodder. The last book has Jon Snow being stabbed to death. While everybody expects him to be resurrected it hadn't been made clear in the books if he was or wasn't. In this world, resurrection seems comparatively common. I can think of 5 characters brought back from the dead with varying degrees of success. Shame that it looks unlikely that she'll be part of the tv show as Lady Stoneheart could have been an interesting character.

I don't think benfathers45 has got the hang of this yet.
-
Confused on that myself. There were reports that they'd talked with Gorging George about the future of the stories, but they also said the show wouldn't necessarily follow the same course as the books. If you've not read the books I can tell you the show has already killed off character who're very much still alive and, as yet, not introduced characters who've; been introduced, been integral to certain plot points and been killed themselves.
-
Ohhhh sure, but don't ask him about a major news story in the North East, he'll take the hump.
-
You do. If you could, that'd be great ta.

Only 5 players have scored more than Jermaine Defoe and sunderland are below us in the league. We've a better goals For per Game than 7 teams We've a better goals Against per Game than 1 team. That says to me that if we brought the number of goals conceded closer to the average for the league, we'd not be in a relegation scrap.

I've read people stating with some confidence that Bookies won't be posting odds of 5,000/1 on any clubs again. Now am I missing something or is that just fucking nonsense? The amount of money they've made on none of the usual favourites winning, the comparatively small number of people actually betting on Leicester to win, the amount of people that will now bet on rank outsiders because they think that this impossible season will happen again etc.?
