  1. Brexiteers would likely enjoy a return to that.
  2. I still get second-string centre backs and 'keepers moaning they're not getting enough game time. I play them in the cups and early CL fixtures. They usually start moaning just after the Xmas window has shut as well.
  3. Always let it be said that you're late to the party; http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/30514-game-of-thrones-spoiler-alert/?p=1414372
  4. They don't calm down that much in the future either.
  5. For ages I didn't know what that was, but when I found out Christ alive that must have been fucking awful.
  6. @@Howay You're famous mate. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/lets-all-laugh-at-newcastle-again.1229103/page-194#post-23283191
  7. Lot of pressure on him to take a lot of the responsibility from the departing Zlatan.
  8. Missed this, what did he say?
  9. A lot of the stuff they buy into is a self-perpetuating confirmation of their bias. They go onto RTG with a pre-conceived idea of Newcastle fans, and then are flooded with stories of the Mag at Work and the like. A cartoonish character who is overweight, illiterate, arrogant, devoid of humour, and unattractive. Every other post about us is a strawman; "They reckon Gayle will be the next Jackie Milburn man!" I was honestly accused of "giving it the biggun" when I said Gayle was a solid addition. Mind you when someone like the "True Geordie" conforms to one or all of their stereotype it's taken as irrefutable proof that all their suspicions are accurate. When Lee Ryder embarrasses himself a lot seem to think he's the mouthpiece of the Newcastle fanbase. There's a few decent mackems on there, but honestly, the overwhelming majority of them are simply incapable of having a conversation without lamely trying to have a dig. I think I was talking to a Leicester fan on there and the replies from the mackems were mostly 'why are you talking to a fat geordie, he's not even in the big league any more' or similar.
  10. Am I missing something, the Sonos Play 1 "2 room starter kit" is just shy of £600, but 2 x the Sonos Play 1 is £320 and the "starter kit" doesn't appear to come with anything not included with two of the individuals?

  12. Mind you, he's not the worst for it, Littlefinger pops up all over the place. Speaking of Varys, I enjoyed that scene with the Grandma Tyrell, basically acting as the audience and telling Dorne to shut up and stop being boring. thought the TV show fucked up the Dorne plot badly as the book's version is much more interesting, but I understand they needed to slim down the peripheral characters and plotlines.
  13. No, they were tv show additions. Probably to replace the people on the book list that the show skimmed over. Travel times are weird in Game of Thrones, Varys can travel to Dorne and back, within what, two episodes? the Whie Walkers have been marching south for 7 seasons and haven't arrived at the wall yet Just found this site which might be useful for people who're struggling with where things are, where people are etc. http://quartermaester.info/
  14. I'm fundamentally not going to google that.
  15. If you're going to do something, do it right.
  16. Just can't see Arya getting that chance, it'll be Jaime, Tyrion or a dragon, won't it? Isn't Arya more for taking out 2nd/3rd tier characters?
  17. No I'm not. Is this uncertainty, this legitimising of an awful minority, this financial cost, the global reaction which has been "What the actual fuck Britain?" (aside from people like Trump, le Pen, Griffin, et al), all these things... aren't they worrying you? You may have voted for the right reasons, but look at who you're standing shoulder to shoulder with... doesn't that worry you?
  18. If I thought voting out was the right thing, but I looked around and saw what kind of person such a vote legitimises, I'd think again. Ill-educated, ill-informed bigots. Not every Brexiteer is racist, but every racist seems to be a Brexiteer. @CT, I know you enjoy the spotlight of being contrary and I know you often couch your positions in such terms that mean when you're later challenged on them you can dismiss them as a bit of piss-taking or whatever but, after all is said and done, the out vote has at best cost the country hundreds of millions, it looks very likely that it'll cost the country jobs, the chancellor whose budgets you've applauded in past is predicting higher taxes and more austerity to cover the exit, and it has seen the racists and bigots legitimised by the ill-informed. I guess what I'm asking is this, isn't all this too high a price to pay for what is essentially blind faith that it'll be better out of the EU?
  19. Really? I thought she only scratched him off the list after she left him to die?
