  1. This is where I'm at, sunderland are terrible and have a weaker side, but Moyes is a better manager than Allardyce. They need to buy some players soon though, as their fixtures in September and October aren't kind at all.
  2. They need to spend a lot of money and quickly, but Dr Xia is a full-speed lunatic, so I'd not be surprised if they struggled this year.
  3. Mackems haven't strengthened either, mind you. Losing Kone would be a big blow and it doesn't look like they'll have Yedlin or M'Vila either.
  4. Swansea might be a decent bet for relegation; they've sold Williams and Ayew, and they've bought Leroy "Relegation Guaranteed" Fer.
  5. That's not even the worst DC name. Egg Fu Oh and "Rainbow Raider Another in a long line of weak, vaguely offensive super-villain motivations: colorblindness. Yes, Roy G. Bivolo was a recurring enemy of The Flash who was determined to become an artist despite his colorblindness. His father built him a pair of goggles that emit solid beams of rainbows he can ride around (a concept that must have seemed silly even at its inception), using them to commit art gallery heists. If he can’t appreciate art, no one can! The weak villain with the ridiculous costume and backstory somehow inspired a villain group called the Rainbow Raiders, but has mostly fallen into obscurity anyway." To be fair, objectively, few of them have great names; Wolverine, Spider-Man and Batman are stupid names that have become acceptable because of the characters, but the really bad names are incredible.
  6. Can't read them, what the inside scoop?
  7. and chino shorts, light shirt and espadrilles... think Jude Law in the Talented Mr Ripley.
  8. I'm just going off what Everton fans have said. They're saying that he's like Stones who played a fair bit out wide, but he was always destined to shift into the centre.
  9. That was referenced a few times, I'm not gonna lie. But honestly, it's a pretty nice way to get to a match and I think I insisted that I'd only attend future away trips that I could get to by boat.
  10. If Galloway isn't an attack-minded fullback, we need to sign a winger to balance the flanks out.
  11. Mind, you're a silly fucker trying to get into the 8 Bells on a matchday.
  12. Most Everton fans on twitter seem to be saying Galloway's not a specialised Left BAck and is essentially just a left sided defender, if that's the case I'm not sure how much balance he's going to provide. He's still probably an improvement on Dummett, but he's not going to be the kind of attacking fullback we need, by all accounts.
  13. That's a proper away day. I finished on a half day, met for a pint at Blackfriars then had a couple of over-priced Peronis on a lovely boat ride down to Putney, couple of pints in the Bricklayers, match, another pint, then Uber back to Clapham and a slice of pizza by the common. Far too straightforward, sensible and boring
  14. Ta, Were you with the lads who pointed out that having the "Mind your Head" sign on the outside was a fucking pisstake? Hope the pub was up to scratch, shame about the football. We tried to go there after, but the Geordies had drank them dry by the time we got back
  15. We'd be better off signing Galloway permanently.
  16. I like that he signs every tweet with JK, so it looks like he was Just Kidding
  17. https://youtu.be/CKFKWRSJdR0?t=72 Not that kind of player
  18. Felt he really only became a reliable player when he was too knackered to even lope around the pitch and played as a fairly immobile target man. Should have bulked up when he was a bairn and played as a static pivot for players to run off.
  19. I liked Shola and he is a bit of a cult figure, but that cult status had people tearing their hair out. Seemed like they felt any support for the gangly legged moron was a tacit acceptance of lower standards?
  20. Lascelles might not yet be the finished article, and he may never be, but he was a better choice at CB than Steven Taylor. The blame for our relegation certainly doesn't lay at Lascelles door, there's a long list of guilty parties ahead of him in the blame queue.
