Looks like Jaap Stam wants them playing a possession game and because of this it could be another turgid affair, with neither side actually fucking creating anything. Wolves beat them by playing a high intensity pressing game and seizing on defensive mistakes. Hopefully we can start with Ritchie as I don't think I could cope with Anita pretending to be a right winger. I'd also give Gamez a run out as he surely, SURELY can't do any worse than Dummett? Drop Shelvey as well. Is it just me or is he not a creative source he's just... I'm struggling to explain what I mean so bear with me. It's like if Janmaat makes a good run into space, Shelvey can find him with a 40yd ball to feet. But if Perez begins a good run, Shelvey lacks the vision or alacrity of thought to slide a pass through. Cabaye could launch a long ball for Ba to volley (Norwich?), or slide it through for Cisse to get on the end of (Swansea?). Shelvey seems to need the recipient to do telegraph the move for him to spot it. I dunno, I don't think I'm explaining myself very well. Was really hoping we'd have Galloway (or another specialised left back) in by now. Forestieri could be a good signing, but on top of people saying it's a non-starter, I think we need more.

Isn't he an injury concern? Anyway I'd expect us to play Diame alongside Hayden/Anita/Colback when Mitrovic comes back.

Incredible that it's taken this long.

Mate of mine failed within 30 seconds of starting. He didn't put his belt on

About 4 lads around my school year went onto to get a pro contract. Adam Sadler went on to be a coach after an injury ended his career, but he was on Man Utd's books as a 'keeper for a bit. Anthony Shandran played for Burnley briefly, then journeymanned his way round Scottish and semi pro teams. Played at Blyth and Gateshead (I think) for a bit. Not bad for a shitty little school in Seaton Delaval.

Apparently the club phone lines are down because of an external issue.

Where. Is. That?
-
Apparently it's on BBC Newcastle but if you're not in the region you have to subscribe to the club's media thing for £4 per month to listen (unless our resident techs know of a way around it?). Beyond that you're relying on periscopes and the highlights

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
The Fish replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye that's a fair point and if the players did keep possession and win, he'd take credit for that as well. Then have a dance. And then fuck a player's wife. Allegedly. Fucking hell, I hate 'Pards'. He could lead England to their 1st proper trophy since 66 and I'd still think him a cunt.- 10610 replies

Given Liverpool's ties to Spain through ex-players, I'm surprised they using Woodgate there and not, say, Middlesbrough where he grew up, will have links to boys clubs and schools and all that, and it's a place that seems to churn out quite a few kids with Premier League potential.

He honestly believes the only reason they weren't passing the ball in neat triangles on the deck is because of injuries and the player and science, doesn't he? We had a team capable of playing possession football and yet, when we finished 5th thanks to an unbelieveable streak of fitness we played direct & counter attack football. We had Colo, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Jonas, who all played 20+ games.- 10610 replies

I think it's as much about what it leaves them with as much as how good he is. He probably is good enough to play for Everton, but that's about it.

This site lets you know which fixtures are being filmed; http://www.livesoccertv.com/competitions/england/championship/ but it doesn't look like the Huddersfield game is going to be covered at all.

Repeating what others have said, but what a defender he was.

You mean Djilibodji (sp?) Young Chelsea centreback. The rumour about us chasing Sylla from Anderlecht seems to be gathering momentum, but that could just be wishful thinking. Also rumblings that we're still chasing Knockaert from Brighton. Holy shit if we sign those 2 and a full back More likely we'll end up with David McGoldrick and Ola john standard players instead.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16
The Fish replied to The Fish's topic in Newcastle Forum
Can't see them dropping. They're shit, no doubt, but they've enough money to buy their way out of trouble in January. Plus they've got McCormack who's worth points on his own. -
This kind of uncertainty can't be good for the team. He's not been training with them has he? And if he doesn't stay, they've not much time to source a replacement.

He was supposed to be having a medical a week ago, but I've seen nothing since then. Mind you, he's a French player at a Russian club and I can imagine that there are many, many layers of bullshit they have to get through before the deal goes through.
